Description. Puppet show- one of the most favorite shows for children. It attracts children with its brightness, color and dynamics. In the puppet theater, children see familiar and close toys - only they came to life, moved, started talking and became even more attractive and interesting. V. Berestov "The Hand is an Artist".
The hand turns
Now in a kitten, then in a puppy.
So that the hand becomes an artist
Very, very little is needed:
Special gloves,
Intelligence, talent - and everything is in order.
During our master class, you will get acquainted with the techniques of creating theatrical puppet from scrap materials, make a glove doll with your own hands, guess which one:
My pretty cap
Smartly shifted to the side.
I'm a funny toy
And my name is ... (Petrushka)
Well, of course, Petrushka.
History of Parsley.
It was with Petrushka that the puppet theater in Russia began its existence. The first puppet theater was born, a very long time ago, back in ancient Rome. The main character of his performances was the cheerful, cheerful Pulcinella. Folk puppet heroes who knew how to express feelings ordinary people, appeared in other countries. In France, Punchinelle became the favorite of the audience, and in England - Punch, in Turkey - Karagöz, and in Germany - Hanswurst.

By nature, courage, insolence, mockery, they are all relatives of our Petrushka. What they could not, the peasants and workers did not dare to say aloud, dolls shouted loudly in the squares and fairs. What are you going to do to Petrushka? Wandering puppeteers' performances were prohibited. Wooden scaffolds and screens were removed. But tomorrow, Petrushka's screen appeared in the neighboring village and the doll again boldly and boldly, loudly expressed the secret thoughts of the assembled spectators.
Petrushka's appearance is by no means Russian: he has exaggeratedly large hands and head, hypertrophied facial features. Big eyes and a huge crooked nose, Petrushka got from the Italian Pulcinella. Many people mistakenly believe that Parsley's wide mouth is a smile, but this is not so, being negative character, Parsley constantly stretches its lips in a grin.
We will do good with you, merry parsley... The doll consists of two parts: the head and the body (gloves, from this dolls are called gloves).
The head will be made of papier - mache. Papier - mache, translated from French, means "chewed paper" - it is an easily molded mass obtained from fibrous materials (paper, cardboard), usually with the addition of adhesives.
Tools and materials required for work:

For the head: containers from eggs, PVA glue, newspapers, masking tape. For painting: water-based paint for primer, acrylic paints, brushes, cardboard, stapler, glue gun.
For the torso (gloves): fabric (fleece color pink for palms, for a suit - two different colors), threads, scissors, needles, hair yarn, patterns (see Appendix # 1), doll diagram (see Appendix # 2).
Preparing a mass of papier - mache.

Grind the egg container, put it in a container, fill it hot water, leave for 10 minutes to soften, then knead the mass with your hands until it takes on a mushy state.
Then we filter through cheesecloth, squeezing out excess water. Add PVA glue at the rate of 3 parts of the mass, 1 part of the glue, mix well.

Having examined the diagram of the doll, we see that there should be a recess in the head for the finger, so it is necessary to make one cartridge for the head and two for the hands (see Appendix # 3). For this, a strip of cardboard with a width equal to the length index finger wrap it around your finger and fix it with a stapler or glue.

Head sculpting.
We crumple the newspaper and wrap the cartridge not tightly, forming a ball (two newspapers are enough), fix the newspaper with masking tape.

We glue the workpiece with a mass, smoothing it with your fingers.
We apply additional pieces of mass on the forehead, nose, cheeks, chin and lips. For the eyes, we make indentations with our fingers.

We smooth out the entire workpiece. Leave to dry for 2 days by inserting a stick into the cartridge.

Sewing a suit
Safety briefing
We start making the torso - gloves.
To do this, draw a hand on paper, bending the middle and ring finger.

We measure the circumference of the head, divide it in half (26: 2), draw a triangle with a side of 13 cm, cut out the patterns.
We lay out the patterns on the fabric folded in half (one layer of one, the second in a different color).

We circle the patterns and cut them out. Cut the body parts in half and lay them out, combining the halves of different colors. Sew the details with a buttonhole seam.

We draw a palm - a mitten, along the wrist of the suit on paper. Cut out the pattern. We circle the pattern on the pink fabric, cut out and sew with a buttonhole seam.

We put a piece of padding polyester in our palms and insert the cartridges, securing with a glue gun. We glue our palms to the suit.

Head painting.
We prime the doll's head with water-based paint. Let it dry, in the meantime we dilute the flesh-colored paint (white + red + yellow) and cover the workpiece.

We outline the place for the eyes, draw the eyes, eyebrows, lips with a brush, with the help of foam rubber, ruddy the cheeks.

And the cheerful Petrushka is already smiling at us!
Hair making
For hair, we wind the threads on a cardboard frame and stitch them in the middle.

Remove from the frame by cutting along the edge. We glue the hair around the circumference of the head.

Connecting parts
We glue the cap and body with a glue gun.

You can additionally decorate the costume with buttons, a hat with a tassel.
Our Petrushka is ready to perform!

Conclusion
In this technique, you can make various characters for puppet shows.

Introduction

Adults often remember the lasting impression the theater made on them in childhood.

Very often puppet theater becomes the first theater of every child. Where toys come to life, turning into fairy tales, it has a great emotional impact on us - children. Puppet theater, personifying kindness, magic gives a real idea of "what is good and what is bad." The variety of forms of performances is determined by the difference in the types of dolls, so the glove doll "Petrushka" brings great joy not only to the audience, but also to the actor himself, who leads her. It was this doll that interested me, which is the relevance of my project. Since Petrushka is a national hero, I named my project “The national puppet hero Petrushka”.

Target: create a collection theater miniatures for younger viewers, using the folk doll Parsley.

Tasks:

Study the necessary literature, Internet resources on this topic;

Choose a repertoire for performances;

Conduct a series of rehearsals and perform in front of the audience.

Object: Parsley doll

Item : artistic image Parsley.

Hypothesis: I think Parsley is an amazingly interesting character.

  1. Preparatory part
  1. Puppet Theatre

What is a puppet theater?

V encyclopedic dictionary written: "puppet theater - special kind theater performances in which dolls act (volumetric and flat), set in motion by actors-puppeteers, most often hidden from the audience (screen). Sometimes in a puppet theater actor becomes a conventional object (flower, ball), depicting a living creature and also set in motion by actors-puppeteers ... ". [ Theater encyclopedia: 6t. - M.]

The power of the theatrical puppet is that it is lifeless. If a person on stage sits on a chair, yawns or blinks, the audience may not notice. If the doll does the same, auditorium burst out laughing, because at this moment the doll makes fun of people who do not know how to behave. This means that the doll helps people to know themselves better, to look at themselves as if from the outside. A doll is a generalized image of a living being: a person, a deer, a dove. The revival of the doll, its transformation from lifeless, motionless into living, moving, seems to the audience and a small and adult miracle. Dolls can cause laughter and tears, they can be beautiful and ugly. A doll can be gentle and trusting or vicious and insidious. Thanks to the fabulousness in the puppet theater, it is possible to create such performances that cannot be staged in other theaters.

The puppet theater existed already in ancient egypt, Greece, Rome. During the festivities, there were performances with the participation of puppets. The Spectacle was mounted on chariots. A cart with actors drove up to the audience. Holding the dolls in their hands, they played the first scene and drove on, the next chariot continued the action.

V ancient Rome organized processions with giant mechanical dolls. Such dolls inspired fear or amused the audience.

Unusual and unique in the world is the Vietnamese water puppet theater. In such a theater, the actors control the puppets while under water and breathing through special reed tubes.

  1. Types of dolls

At first glance, all dolls appear to be the same, but they are all different. The main difference is in their structure.

The simplest are glove puppets. This is the well-known Parsley, various bunnies, bears, dogs, that is, all those dolls that are worn on the hand, on three fingers. One finger is inserted into the doll's head, two more - into the sleeves of the suit, that is, into the doll's hands.

Reed dolls are guided by special wires or reed sticks that can be disguised in the doll's clothes. The doll's head is set on a special rod - hapit, shoulders and arms are attached to it. The size of a cane doll is larger than a glove doll. In its proportions, it resembles a person. The reed puppet is the most common in the puppet theater.

The most difficult doll to make and manage is a puppet. It is guided by threads or thin wires. In the hand of the actor is a vaga (movable cross-shaped holder). It contains the threads that go to various parts doll body. The actor alternately pulls the strings, and the doll comes to life.

Mechanical dolls are also used in the puppet theater. They are controlled by various mechanisms: levers, rubber bands. This is how galloping horses, marching soldiers are made.

There are dolls made of soft materials: tricotine, rubber. The actor's fingers are in the doll's head, squeezing or straightening, they give the doll's face different expressions. These are mime dolls.

A shadow doll is a flat image of a person or animal casting a shadow on the screen, which is the scene of a shadow theater.

1.3. How puppets - actors

Parsley, Punchinelle, Punch, Pulcinella are the heroes of folk puppet shows, which were very common in the 15th - 16th centuries in different countries.

The ancestor of heroes folk theater dolls in Europe is Pulcinella.

Pulcinella - Italian, doll in a black mask. Pulcinella cannot take off the mask, because it is not made of matter or paper - just part of his face is painted over with black paint. Looking at Pulcinella is both fun and scary - the black mask gives him something mysterious.

Polichinelle - the hero of the French folk theater. at the beginning of his life he was a "string" doll, controlled by twelve strings. Lead was attached to the soles of Polychinelle's feet for stability. He could walk and dance, and once he even performed in a palace in front of the king.

However, over time, Punchinel's device underwent changes: the threads were removed, a caftan was sewn for him, into which it was possible to insert fingers right hand- he became a glove doll.

Punch - a good-natured fat man, a hero of the English theater. He is always cheerful. Punch's owner, the jovial John, was a wandering actor. He did not walk, but rode in a van that could accommodate people, dolls, a table, and chairs.

Parsley - the cheerful little man amused the people at fairs, in booths or just on the street.

Puppeteer actors never portray their characters as bold, fearless. Very often, puppet men are endowed with everyday flaws, even vices.

1.4. People's puppet hero - Parsley

Petrushka is a hero of the Russian folk puppet theater, was popular with both adults and kids. Depicted in a red shirt, canvas pants and a pointed cap with a tassel; Traditionally, Parsley is a glove doll. "Petrushka", the nickname of a booth doll, a Russian jester, a funny man, a wit in a red caftan and a red cap.

In the era of Peter I, fairs (fairs) were held in Russian cities before major holidays. Folk entertainers flocked to the fairs. They erected inns, merry-go-rounds, swings, circus and theatrical booths, and later, stage performances. The fair square has become a place for various mass entertainment and fun.

Particularly popular at fairs and festivities enjoyed parsley performances. They were a form of urban entertainment folklore.

I asked my grandparents: have they seen or heard from their grandmothers about fairground shows? Which of my peers knows who Petrushka is? (Appendix 1) Grandparents said that such fair performances were often held and there was always a puppet theater on the square. And my peers know that Petrushka is the hero of the puppet theater, but they know little about his repertoire and appearance.

Petrushka's appearance is by no means Russian: he has big hands and a head, she is treated with a special vegetable liquid, which makes it look darker; large almond-shaped eyes and a huge nose with a hump, completely white eyeballs and a dark iris, due to which Parsley's eyes seem black, a huge nose, a hump or two humps - in front and behind, a protruding chin, a stupid cap on the head, etc.

Parsley was dressed in a red shirt or red caftan, trousers tucked into patent leather boots. Sometimes he was dressed up in the style of a harlequin (clothes made of colored patches) or a clown (a collar with bells, etc.).

Petrushka's voice is silver and is called a squeak. To get such a voice, you need to take a silver dime, flatten it with a hammer into a thin, thin plate. The plate is bent in half, so that a small crack remains in it, and a piece of matter is laid inside. The parsley actor put it in his mouth, where the tongue begins, and began to speak. His voice passed through the silver plate, the strip of matter in it trembled, and from this a strong, piercing sound was obtained. This is the voice of Petrushka. Or, as one of the correspondents P.N. Tikhanov, this is "a small projectile consisting of two bone plates, inside which a narrow strip of thin linen ribbon is fixed."

Once it happened to the voice of Petrushka unusual story... This was before the revolution. After one of the performances, the voice disappeared. The puppeteer actor, discovering the loss, was upset, because without the voice of Petrushka, the performance lost its originality and charm.

A frustrated actor was walking along Izmailovsky Park in Moscow, and suddenly he heard Petrushkin's voice. It turned out that a boy was sitting on the tree and squealing in the voice of Petrushka. The puppeteer actor realized who had stolen the silver squeak, and then wondered why the boy climbed a tree and squeaked. It turned out that in the depths of the park the workers gathered for a rally, and the boy was left on guard. When strangers appeared, he had to squeak.

The puppeteer actor was as poor as the workers, he sympathized with them and therefore gave the boy a squeak.

Until the 19th century, Petrushka did not have a permanent name, he was most often called: "Ivan Ratutyu" or "Ivan Ratatouille". And the current name Petrushka received from one everyday scenes with the policeman, where he demanded a passport from him, to which our hero replied: “Yes, there is! I’m Pyotr Ivanovich Vksusov for the pashport! ” So simply he got his current name Petrushka, as a derivative of the name Peter.

Parsley is the younger relative of the Italian Pulcinella, French Punchinelle, English Punch, Turkish Karagöz, German Hanswurst, Spanish Don Cristobal and others, despite the fact that they are all theater puppets and are controlled with threads. The only analogue of Parsley in driving technique is the Guignol glove doll, which appeared in Lyon in early XIX century.

A light screen, dolls, miniature wings and a curtain were specially made for the traveling folklore theater. Petrushka ran across the stage, his gestures and movements created the appearance of a living person. This is how Petrushka made the Russian people happy.

II. Practical part

2.1. Petrushka's repertoire.

There were main plots: Petrushka's treatment, training in soldier's service, a scene with a bride, buying a horse and testing it. The plots were passed from actor to actor, word of mouth. Not a single character in the Russian theater has had a popularity equal to Petrushka.

According to a widespread, but unproven version, plays with Petrushka's participation were included in the repertoire of buffoons and consisted of humorous and historical scenes and dialogues. Each scene depicted a fight with fists and a stick of Petrushka with one character or another. Usually the performance began with the following story: Petrushka decided to buy a horse, the musician called a gypsy dealer. Petrushka examined the horse for a long time and bargained for a long time with the gypsy. Then Petrushka got tired of bargaining, and instead of money he beat the gypsy on the back for a long time, after which he ran away. Petrushka tried to mount a horse, she threw him off to the laughter of the audience. This could continue as long as the people did not laugh. Finally the horse ran away, leaving Petrushka lying dead. The doctor came and asked Petrushka about his illnesses. It turned out that he was in pain. There was a fight between the Doctor and Petrushka, at the end of which Petrushka beat the enemy hard on the head with a truncheon. "What kind of doctor are you," shouted Petrushka, "if you ask where it hurts? Why did you study? You yourself should know where it hurts!" The quarter appeared. - "Why did you kill the doctor?" He replied: "Because he knows his science poorly." After the interrogation, Petrushka hits the district policeman on the head with a club and kills him. A snarling dog came running. Petrushka unsuccessfully asked for help from the audience and the musician, after which he flirted with the dog, promising to feed it with cat meat. The dog grabbed him by the nose and dragged him backstage, and Petrushka shouted: - "Oh, my little head with a cap and a brush is gone!" The music stopped, which meant the end of the show. If the audience liked it, then they did not let the actors go, applauded, threw money, demanding to continue. Then they played a little scene of Petrushkin's wedding. The bride was brought to Petrushka, he examined her the way one examines a horse's articles. He liked the bride, he did not want to wait for the wedding and began to beg her to "sacrifice herself." From the stage, where the bride "sacrifices herself," the women left and took their children with them. There were scenes in which Petrushka did not participate. It was dancing and juggling with balls and sticks.

Petrushka defeated all opponents except Death. In the final scene, Death took Petrushka with him. But Petrushka was used in a booth theater and one and the same performance was shown in different places... This means that Petrushka was “dying” for some viewers, but “resurrected” for others.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Petrushkas began to show performances at children's parties, Christmas trees... The scenes began to change.

  1. My repertoire.

To create Petrushka's repertoire, I relied on the repertoire folk hero having studied the relevant literature. But I want to show my sketches for children kindergarten so I have to consider age features... In the library I found very old book, which tells about how to arrange a Petrushka theater in the simplest way and gives a varied repertoire [G. V. Genov Theater for kids. M., "Education", 1968. p. 76 -94]. Having studied this book, I compiled a repertoire for my Petrushka. (Appendix 2)

III. Conclusion

This project helped me learn more about the puppet hero Petrushka than I knew before. The performances with the participation of Petrushka are unmatched among other puppet theaters. Petrushka was the protagonist of the puppet theater of the last century. V modern world my peers know little about such a wonderful puppet hero as Petrushka. Having studied his repertoire, I, based on it, was able to compose a repertoire for my Petrushka. This was the goal of my project. He performed several performances in kindergartens in our city. The children greeted my Petrushka with joy, laughed merrily and did not hesitate to communicate with him.

As a result, I came to the following conclusions:

Parsley is the most amazing vivid puppet character that can be funny and sad and wise, a fighter for justice.

Petrushka is the first of the origins of modern puppet theater and played big role in his development, although he is not a Russian doll.

He adopted the character and appearance of his older foreign brothers. The puppeteer actor who leads Petrushka on the screen becomes Petrushka himself. I think that my hypothesis has been fully confirmed. Parsley is indeed an amazingly interesting character.

Work on my Petrushka's repertoire will continue.

Yegor ate thirty-three pies with a pie, and all with cottage cheese.

Goga drove geese downhill, Yegor drove geese uphill.

The winners should always be presented with an award.

Thank you for the attention. Goodbye! Goodbye! Learn tongue twisters, and then tell me them.

The heroes of the Russian puppet theater are known to kids from the very early age... One of these is Petrushka - a peculiar and characteristic jester with a cheerful character and kind disposition. It was originally created in the form of a glove-type doll, which with movements own hand could be given an active character.

Later, the doll was turned into a hero of the puppet theater. However, the glove option is still popular.

Mandatory features of a parsley image are:

  • a red shirt decorated with patterns with folk ornaments;
  • wide canvas pants tucked into boots dashingly;
  • a long cap, at the end of which there is always a tassel.

Sometimes the pants are missing, a long shirt seems to cover the legs.

The cap can be bifurcated, and then there is a tassel at each end.

How to sew?

The Parsley soft toy is desirable in almost all homes where there are children. Putting it on your hand, you can easily cheer up the child, cheer him up, distract him from unnecessary problems. And if you prepare several similar folk characters, you can get a full-fledged troupe of puppet artists.

How to make parsley with your own hands? We will make the head from papier-mâché, the elements of the body will help to make special patterns. You can sew them with your hands, if you have a machine, use it. If neither one nor the other is unacceptable, using a special fabric glue, you can carefully glue all the details around the perimeter.

To work, you will need the kit shown in the photo.

We make a papier-mâché head with our own hands as follows:

  1. Grind the egg trays and fill them with boiling water.
  2. After complete soaking, squeeze out excess water and add PVA glue in a ratio of 3: 1.
  3. A cylinder must be inserted into the head in advance for the subsequent fastening of the body.
  4. Taking a round base, we apply the finished mass to it and additionally sculpt relief details: nose, forehead, ears, chin.

Further actions are carried out after the base has completely dried. Used hand-painted paints:

  • cover the head with water-based paint, after which we paint the entire surface with a flesh-colored shade;
  • we make out the facial features, make them as kind and smiling as possible;
  • then it's up to the hair. We wind the selected threads on the frame. We cut them along the edges;
  • we glue the base with hair around the circumference of the head - it turns out that it looks like curls that have come out from under the cap.

The costume will say a lot about the character

How to sew to make it beautiful? Parsley is a doll that "constantly walks to the guests." Therefore, we use only bright variegated colors of fabrics, the scraps of which we sew in order:

  • apply a pattern, outline it with a pencil and cut it out, taking into account the seam allowances;
  • we sew the details and get a shirt;
  • the cap on the head is made in the same way;
  • a hand in a mitten is also performed;
  • its attachment to the shirt is due to the inserted cylinder.

We combine the manufactured parts, we get the most expressive of the folk dolls - Parsley.

How else can you do it?

If the papier-mâché head can remain the same for other versions of the doll, then the clothes can be knitted. On doll models, such things look especially touching and original. You can also tie the head. Such a hero is made by crocheting in a circle with single crochets.

The people's favorite doll can be sewn entirely from fabric using special patterns. Cutting out every detail, we sew at the places of their connection. Then we fill the inner cavity of the head with something soft, for example, foam rubber, cotton wool, holofiber. The shirt should not be filled.

This is a comfortable place for the hand to control the movements of the doll. Legs made in the same way can be sewn to the bottom of the shirt. Then, when the toy is revived with hand movements, they will sway funny, giving the image a special expressiveness.

Don't be afraid it won't work! Sew and see how exciting and tempting this business is. And the resulting hero interesting work, will be not only cute and sweet, but also warmed by the warmth of your soul, which he will generously share with the children.

All people at least once in their lives have been to a puppet theater in childhood, or have watched puppet shows on TV. The main characters of such performances are dolls. They are very diverse. But the main national puppet hero, to this day, is Petrushka. His appearance in Russia is unclear, but already in 1609, when the first puppet theaters were born, he was the main character in action. His full name Petr Petrovich Vksusov.

But some historians studying the puppet theater believe that his name was "Vanka Ratatouille" and attribute the origin of this doll to France. The roots of Parsley actually come from overseas countries, because he was always dressed in a "foreign manner": a red shirt, canvas pants and a cap with bells. His appearance is also not Russian, big hands and head, big eyes and a huge hump nose. His voice was also unusual.
The prototype of Parsley is real man, historical person, the favorite jester of the Russian Empress Anna Ioannovna, whose name was Pietro Pedrillo. He was the son of an Italian and came to St. Petersburg as a court musician. But in speed he had an incident with the Empress's courtiers, and one of her favorites, invited him to become a court jester. In this field, the Italian made a career that helped him go down in history. He possessed intelligence and wit, which the empress liked very much. She rewarded him generously, and after her death, Pietro Pedrillo left back to Italy, being a rich man. Among the courtiers he had various nicknames, one of which was "Petrushka", which served as the birth of the Russian doll, which became folk character puppet theaters.
Petrushka portrayed a stupid character, but a sharp mind was traced behind this. He was a bully, a wit, a fighter who always won everyone. Everyone was making fun of him in his face human vices... In past centuries, puppet shows were played out for common people, they took place right in the squares, fairs. They ridiculed the rulers, the authorities and everyone who disdainfully and unfairly treated people. Petrushka always defeated the rich, the police, the priests, and even death. The people saw themselves in him, and this helped him to believe that injustice could be overcome.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, the image of Petrushka began to change. At first, there was a persecution of actors - puppeteers, and later, with the outbreak of war, the people were not up to entertainment. And the actors began to play for children. Since then, Petrushka has become a share - a boy. His image has changed forever.
