Description of the painting of the gerasims after the rain, wet terrace. Painting after the rain

The artist Gerasmov created a painting called After the Rain. When I saw her, I also wanted to hang such a picture for myself where we see a wet terrace after the rain, and if I ever come across a reproduction of Gerasimov's painting, I will definitely buy it and hang it in my room. In the meantime, I have to complete the literature assignment and write a description for the 6th grade based on Gerasimov's painting.

A. Gerasimov "After the rain" painting

So, the story about the painting "After the Rain" by Gerasimov, I will begin with general impression, but it is only pleasant. When I saw the picture, I didn't have a dull mood, as is often the case after the rain. Looking at the picture, one does not feel the coolness, which also sinks to the ground after bad weather. On the contrary, the picture breathes with freshness, purity, some indescribable warmth emanates from it.

I will continue the description of Gerasimov's painting with what exactly I see in the painting. So, right away we see a part of the terrace where the bench is located, and also there is a table. There is a vase of flowers on the table, however, the raindrops have knocked off some of the petals and they lie on the table. From moisture, the leaves are completely adhered to the table. And next to it is a glass on the table. Maybe the wind knocked him over, or maybe the people who were resting on the terrace shortly before the pouring rain caught a glass in a hurry and he rolled over.

On the floor, on the table, on the bench, wherever you look, there are puddles everywhere, everything is wet and glistens in the sun, which gradually breaks through the clouds.

In the background of Gerasimov's work After the rain, there is a garden. The branches of the trees bent a little, because the foliage washed with water became heavier. When you look at the garden, it seems as if everything has come to life, the greenery has become juicier, brighter. And if you look closely, you can see the roof of some kind of outbuilding through the foliage. Most likely, it is visible the roof of the barn.

After the rain, Gerasimov painted a picture that I really liked, and, as I said, someday I will definitely buy myself his picture or a reproduction of it.

Composition based on the painting by A. M. Gerasimov "After the Rain"

Alexander Mikhailovich Gerasimov - famous Russian painting. He was born on July 31, 1881 in the city of Kozlov, into a merchant family. The artist spent his childhood and youth in this provincial town, surrounded by Russian nature. The young man knew how to see beauty in the simplest everyday things. And this became the basis for many of his future works.

Only for real talented painter can notice the most imperceptible, at first glance, details of the environment. We see this in his paintings. And we cannot but admire it.

In his youth, the artist was attracted by impressionism. But then he became an adherent of socialist realism, a new artistic direction... Gerasimov painted portraits political leaders that time - Lenin, Voroshilov, Stalin and other Soviet leaders. The artist was considered a recognized master of socialist realism, he was Stalin's personal artist. Gerasimov's works were considered canonical at that time.

However, Alexander Mikhailovich himself was already tired of the constant striving for official recognition in the mid-thirties. And he decides to go on vacation to his hometown Kozlov. It was then that the artist created an amazing painting "After the Rain".

This work is strikingly different from all the paintings that were created by the artist. He himself believed that this is the most best piece of all that he created in his life.

Alexander Mikhailovich's sister recalled that the artist was literally shaken by the garden after the rain. It was amazing sight, which Gerasimov definitely wanted to capture on canvas. “Nature was fragrant with freshness. The water lay in a whole layer on the foliage, on the floor of the gazebo, on the bench and sparkled, creating an extraordinary picturesque accord. And further, behind the trees, the sky cleared and turned white. " The artist immediately demanded a palette from his assistant.

The painting was completed very quickly, in a few hours. This testifies to how great was the artist's admiration for the amazing beauty of nature.

In fact, the creation of this painting was not accidental. Even in his youth, Gerasimov was attracted by the motive of nature after the rain.

The rain seemed to symbolize renewal. And the world around him took on different outlines, became brighter and fresher. When the artist studied at the School of Painting, he painted wet roofs, roads, objects.

There is no elaborate plot in After the Rain. It was created in one go. The work cannot leave the audience indifferent, there is sincerity and lightness in it.

The luscious reflections of garden greenery are reflected on the terrace. On the wet surface of the table, multi-colored reflections are reflected, here they are blue, pink. The shadows are multicolored and colorful. Planks covered with moisture show silvery reflections. The state of nature is conveyed extremely expressively. This simple picture remembered by everyone who saw her.

A rain-drenched terrace appears before us along with the corner of the garden. Water covers foliage, floor, benches and railings. The water, together with the sun that illuminates the terrace, is a truly mesmerizing sight. The water sparkles in sunlight, acquires a special character, sophistication and clarity.

On the left side of the terrace we see round table on carved legs. They are also reflected in the puddles. On the table is a glass jug with a bouquet of garden flowers.

Garden flowers are amazing, there is no deliberate splendor and luxury in them. They are gentle, but at the same time invisible. Flowers are so real that you want to touch them. It seems that you are about to feel their subtle aroma. There is a glass on its side next to the vase. Probably a sharp gust of wind knocked him down. As if in a mirror, a glass and a vase are reflected in the surface of the table, bathed in rain.

There is a special atmosphere in the garden after the rain. Everything around looks extremely beautiful and harmonious. The painting gives good mood... It is impossible to be sad and sad while admiring such a beautiful painting.

The corner of the house looks out into the garden, we can see how beautiful the garden is after the rain. The foliage shines in the sun. A branch of lilac bends over the bench. The sky is already brightening. The gloomy clouds are about to disappear. And the rays of the gentle sun will rush down.

At the back of the garden you can see the roof of an old barn. Every detail is simple and straightforward. But in the aggregate, they take on a completely different meaning. it real life, the beauty of which we sometimes do not notice. We're busy with other things. And our attention is unlikely to be attracted by the garden after the rain, unremarkable, familiar and simple. Only a true artist is able to notice all the splendor of the colors and shades of an ordinary everyday landscape.

Composition based on the painting After the rain by A.M. Gerasimov for 6th grade students.

Plan

  • The plot of the painting by A. Gerasimov "After the rain"
  • Description of the terrace, table, jug with flowers
  • Background of the painting (garden, house, building)
  • Painting technique
  • My mood from what I saw.

I am looking at the painting by A.M. Gerasimov "After the Rain". Everything that I see I need to describe in an essay. I'll start with the plot of the picture. A small terrace appears before our eyes after the rain. The artist chose objects as the object of his canvas: a table, a jug of flowers, a part of a terrace with a railing, and depicted them against the background of nature.

It has just rained. We see small puddles spilled on the bench and the terrace floor. Everything is reflected in the gloss of the wet surface. An overturned faceted glass lies on the table. Apparently, the rain was very strong, if it left behind so many "traces".

The terrace itself is not completely visible to us. Vertical supports hold the roof (we can see only its corner), the wooden platform has steps for access to the garden. A narrow bench ends with an uncomplicated handrail. It is pleasant to sit on such a terrace in the evening and enjoy the smells of nature. Or you can get your family together and have a cup of tea.

On the left is a table with carved legs. The curly table top is also covered with raindrops. And on the table is a glass jug with flowers. The bouquet of beautiful flowers also felt the power of the rain. Some of the petals have fallen and lie in the water that has accumulated on the edge of the table. Or maybe the wind dropped the jug and scattered the delicate petals? Flowers are painted in white and red, somewhere they have shades of pink and pale green. The leaves are very dark and rich green color... The bouquet was probably collected just before the rain to decorate the table with it. But suddenly a downpour began, and the bouquet remained on the terrace.

In the background of the painting, we see a part of the garden. All its greenery is replete with different shades. Somewhere it is very bright, light, even turning into a light green color, and somewhere it is dark green, juicy, having a shade of emerald and even blue flowers... There are a lot of trees in the garden. Some kind of wooden building can be seen to the side, maybe it's a small barn or a small bathhouse. There is a chimney on its roof.

On the right in the picture, behind dense foliage, we see the corner of the house, to which the terrace adjoins. A. Gerasimov used interesting technique Images. All objects have blurry outlines. There are no clear, correct lines. The blurry brushstroke technique makes the painting interesting. If you look closely, instead of leaves on the tree you can see just an obscure brushstroke. As if the artist was not trying to paint all the elements as they look, and left blurry spots on the canvas the colors you want... Flowers in a jug are also depicted, and part of the terrace, and a piece of the sky that shines through the dense foliage. Colors mix well here. They combine with each other to create a new shade.

The painting does not create a good mood. After the rain, it becomes light and joyful, nature renews itself, everything around freshens up. No sad thoughts, only positive emotions!

Acquaintance with the biography and the history of the painting "After the Rain".

People's Artist of the USSR entered the history of Russian and Soviet visual arts as an author famous portraits, thematic paintings, landscapes. He created about three thousand works, many of which were included in the golden fund of Russian fine arts.

saw beauty in everything, even in the simplest and most unpretentious. He knew how to make any, sometimes banal motive sound. We see this quality in the famous Gerasimov's "Wet Terrace", written in his hometown Michurinsk, in the courtyard of his house in three and a half hours.

It happened like this: I was painting a group portrait of my family on the terrace. The sun was hot, scattering in bright spots over the greenery. And suddenly ... a gusty wind, picking the petals from the roses and scattering them on the table, knocked over a glass of water. The rain poured down ... I was overwhelmed indescribable delight from the fresh greenery and sparkling streams of water that flooded the table with a bouquet of roses, the bench and the floorboards ... I frantically began to write ...

The artist's sister recalled how the painting was painted. Her brother was literally shocked by the sight of their garden after one unusually heavy rain. “Nature was fragrant with freshness. The water lay in a whole layer on the foliage, on the floor of the gazebo, on the bench and sparkled, creating an extraordinary picturesque accord. And further, behind the trees, the sky cleared and turned white.

- Mitya, rather a palette! - Alexander shouted to his assistant Dmitry Rodionovich Panin.

In Russian painting Soviet period there are few works where the state of nature would be conveyed so expressively. The artist lived long life, wrote many canvases on various semi-official subjects, for which he received many awards and prizes, but at the end of the journey, looking back at the past, he considered this particular work the most significant.

11. Drawing up an essay plan.

Painting by Gerasimov "After the Rain". Wet terrace and objects on it. Garden after the rain. My impression of the painting.

Before us is the painting "After the Rain". Looking at this picture, we see a picturesque motive. Nature, refreshed by the rain, attracts our eyes.

In the foreground we see a rain-drenched terrace with a corner of the garden. The water lies in a whole layer on foliage, on the terrace floor, on benches and railings. Part of the terrace is illuminated by the sun. Glittering in the dim sunlight, the water creates a mesmerizing sight. The luscious reflections of the garden greens lay on the terrace, pinkish and blue on the wet surface of the table. The shadows are colorful, even multi-colored reflections on the boards covered with moisture cast silver.

On the left side of the terrace stands on carved legs, which are also reflected in the puddles. On the table, in a glass jug, there is a lush bouquet of garden flowers washed in the rain. The tones of the flowers are gentle and discreet. It seems to us that we feel their delicate aroma, which intensified after the rain. Next to the vase, we see a glass lying on its side, apparently falling from a sharp gust of wind. Both the vase and the glass are reflected in the wet surface of the table, as in a mirror.

Everything in nature smells of freshness. All the smells blended together. The scent of flowers and wet green foliage. The smell of rain-drenched plank floors and damp earth. Together, they cause us delight and jubilation.

The corner of the house opens directly onto the garden. The dense foliage of trees and shrubs washed by the rain glistens in the sun. A lilac branch bent over the bench, slowly dropping light drops of rain from its branches. And then the sky clears and brightens behind the trees. In the depths of the garden, through the branches of the bushes, you can see the roof of an old barn.

I believe that it is best picture... in it the state of nature is very vividly and expressively conveyed.

The painting "After the Rain" is one of the artist's best works. It depicts a wet terrace and a corner of the garden on a warm summer day. It rained heavily recently. He wet everything around. The floor, benches, railings, table, foliage and grass - everything shines with brilliance.

It is difficult to define the genre of this painting by Gerasimov. That this is a still life, genre scene or landscape? Elements of different genres have merged in the picture, and this is how it attracts attention. We see a terrace where people have recently been, perhaps reading newspapers or drinking tea. The rain, suddenly pouring in, made them leave. But we feel their presence.

In the center of the composition is a table on which there is a glass jug with flowers and a glass overturned by a gust of wind. This plot for a typical still life is written with great skill. Blue and pink reflections are reflected on the wet table surface. The flowers in the bouquet are lush, delicate, painted with light warm colors: pink, red, white, lilac. The bouquet is somewhat disheveled by the wind, washed by the rain, which only intensified its aroma.

In the background we see beautiful landscape... The foliage of the trees, wet after the rain, is illuminated by the sun and sparkles like precious ones. All shades of green, from dark, almost black, to pale light green, are used by the artist, depicting foliage and grass. The roof of a barn shines in the distance.

Few of the artists managed to convey the beauty of nature after the rain with such skill as Gerasimov did. This is the best of his paintings, and it was not for nothing that the artist himself loved her more than others.

After the rain

Looking at Gerasimov's painting "After the Rain", one can smell a fresh summer shower, and one can hear drops hitting the leaves of trees. The entire terrace is flooded with light and the extraordinary purity of the nature washed by the rain. Reflections of objects in rainwater give the picture a special atmosphere of mystery, romance and comfort. I really want to stay on this terrace, immersed in this atmosphere of serenity, to breathe in Fresh air and forget about all the problems even for a moment.

How realistically the artist conveys the beauty of wet surfaces: floor, table, railings, benches. Basically, the creator uses dark colors, but through the tree branches bent under the weight of the water, the sky is visible, on which the last clouds are scattered. The rays of the sun that peeped through play merrily and sparkle in the drops of water. This gives the painting a kind of mysterious glow. Buildings can be seen deep behind the trees, in the background. Their roof literally shines.

There is a bouquet of beautiful garden flowers in a transparent vase on a table on the left side of the terrace. They look so real that when you look at them, it seems that you are about to smell a subtle, delicate aroma emanating from them. Separately, I would like to note how the artist displayed the transparency of the glass from which the vase and glass are made.

It is impossible to unequivocally establish the genre of this picture. On the one hand, it depicts a landscape, because it is enough most paintings are occupied by garden trees, the consequences of a natural phenomenon in nature. But on the other hand, we see this beautiful bouquet of flowers, a table on which fallen petals lie, a glass that fell under the onslaught of heavy drops of water.

This picture is impressive and makes you think high. I think no one can remain indifferent after watching this picture.

Composition on the painting After the rain Gerasimov grade 6

Alexander Gerasimov is a versatile artist. V different time(pre-war and post-war periods) he painted portraits of the first persons in the Soviet state, as well as the depiction of natural phenomena interested the master. The theme of rain and the renewal of nature after it is not new, not only in general in art, but also in the work of Gerasimov. As a student, he painted rooftops and road surfaces after rain. But this canvas is detached from them.

Impression of the painting

The impression from the picture is contradictory. We see an image of the terrace after the rain. This phenomenon of nature itself can be interpreted in two ways - it is not only the renewal of nature with the hope of its revival, but also a kind of heavenly "tears". This is an element that a person cannot cope with, he can only contemplate, hiding in a secluded place and waiting out the bad weather. The artist is just in such a place - we see the image with his eyes from the opposite corner of the veranda.

In general, rain brings a sense of discomfort to the space. But this discomfort is "experienced" by the person and the objects created by him - we see how the puddles on the veranda bench shine - now we cannot sit on it; a table located at the entrance, as if meeting guests, on this moment cannot gather them around him; a glass that fell from the raging elements - all this is a confirmation of the powerlessness of a person before natural phenomena... Only the trees, saturated with life-giving moisture, shine, reflecting the sun's rays gradually emerging from behind the clouds. Cycles change, one phenomenon replaces another, and it has always been and will be, and nature will continue to live and triumph no matter what.

Painting colors

The color scheme chosen by Gerasimov is not very diverse, but there is a lot of sense in its laconicism. We see natural, naturally occurring colors. However, they are opposed to each other in saturation, in the presence of life in them. The table and the wooden extension have dark brown shades, and cut flowers in a vase "dilute" this gloom with their freshness, albeit the former: white, pink, subtle delicate shades, but the greens (leaves and stems of flowers) are darker than natural, living ones. And their sorrow for their former life in the bosom of nature, flowers show with fallen petals on the table.

But in the end, life wins - as planned, the picture is divided into two parts - the front background with a terrace (the world of people) and the back (the world of nature), where greenery prevails. different shades, proving that in nature "" there is no bad weather ", that everything in it is harmonious. The sun is about to come out and there will be no trace of the rain ...
