Rules of the 2016 introductory campaign in Ukraine: main innovations, a list of documents and for whom preferential conditions apply

The start date of the admission campaign to universities in 2016 is 11 July. Acceptance of documents for bachelor's degree will last until 28.07.16. The main innovation this year is the rules for filing documents: now they are sent by the applicant only to in electronic format... The exception is the privileged categories of citizens, but more on that later.

The Ministry of Education explains this innovation by the need for vocational guidance of students. In addition, when filing electronic applications, the applicant must prioritize them.

Admission rules 2016: what certificates of EIT are required?

As a rule, the highest educational establishments require three certificates independent assessment... Of these, the results of testing are mandatory. Ukrainian language and literature, as well as history or mathematics (depending on specialization). The third subject is determined by the university.

According to the law of Ukraine "On higher education", the university has the right to request a certificate of UPE in four subjects at once. But in practice this does not happen, due to the fact that educational institutions are afraid to set too high requirements and" undershoot "students.

The passing score for admission is also determined by the universities themselves. The rating for admission to universities in 2016 is the UPE score, but first you need to score the minimum acceptable result, i.e. hand over the subject.

The pass / fail assessment form was introduced back in 2015 to weed out people with a zero score. Thus, in the presence of the mark "passed", the rating points of the applicant are determined on the scale of the university from 100 to 200 points. A maximum of 200 points will be given to the person, more than whom none of all applicants for a specific specialty has scored.

Is it possible to enroll according to last year's certificates of VNO?

The 2016 university entrance campaign in Ukraine will be held only based on the results of this year's external independent assessment. Due to the fact that the system "passed / did not pass" has not yet been fully worked out, and this year new rules have been introduced, it will not be correct to count the certificates of 2015.

But, as the Ministry of Education promises, next year they will accept VNO-2016 certificates, with the exception of test results for foreign language... Within the framework of the European integration course since 2017. EIT in English will be compulsory for all graduates, therefore testing rules will change.

Benefits for admission 2016: who is entitled to, what documents must be submitted?

• Orphans;
• Disabled children who are not able to pass the UPE due to the presence of certain diseases;
• ATO participants who did not manage to register for VNO-2016.

Beneficiaries submit documents to the admissions office of the university in paper form. List of required documents:

• Passport or identity document;
• For those liable for military service - a military ID or a certificate of registration;
• School certificate with an attachment to it;
• A document confirming the right to enter a university on the basis of an entrance exam (admission by interview, by quotas, etc.);
• Color photos 4 pcs. (3x4 cm).

Introductory campaign for applicants living in territories not controlled by Ukraine

Law of Ukraine No. 1114-VIII "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Concerning Ensuring the Right to Education of Persons Residing in the Territory of the Anti-Terrorist Operation" defines the rules for admission to Ukrainian universities of applicants residing in the temporarily occupied territories of the country.

According to the document, graduates from the ATO zone, with a secondary education certificate, can only take entrance exams to the selected Ukrainian university.
