All-Russian literary contest "Short Children's Work" announced. Deadline March 20, 2015.

Participants of the competition may have persons who have achieved majority.

Prognal works for children from 5 to 12 years old are accepted for the competition. (The poetic works in the competition are not involved).

The maximum permissible number of works from one author at the competition: two works, including works written in collaboration. These can be two works in one of the sections of the "fairy tales", "stories", "cognitive works", or one in different.

Competition nomination:

• Stories are small prosaic works of modern authors addressed to children.
• Fairy tales - Modern stories with a fantastic plot.
• Cognitive works are written in a light, interesting and affordable form of history, acquainting children with the world of nature, science and technology, stories about the geographical and historical sights of Russia, stories about the lives of famous Russians (except for contemporaries).

Scope of work: 15,000 - 25,000 characters with spaces.

The competition is not accepted by poetic works, plays, scenarios, translating and retelling of the Bible (as well as the Quran, Talmuda), as well as works about the devils, houses and so on. "Easy", especially if these characters act as positive heroes.

• The competition provides the following prizes - Grand Prix, I, II and III, the "Prize of Spectatical Sympathies". The work of the Competition Grand Prix will be released by a separate illustrated book in the Children's Book Series 'Nastya and Nikita' with the payment of the author's fee. The authors of the works that took prizes (I, II and III) will be born 20 books of the Children's Book Series 'Nastya and Nikita'. The nomination 'prize of reader sympathy' is not dependent on the opinion of the jury, determined by the voting of readers, is bombed by a set of 10 books of the 'Nastya and Nikita' series. All participants whose works entered the short list will receive a competition diplomas.

The main news of this season is a new special nomination "in the theater", established together with the Moscow State Academic Children's Music Theater named after Natalia Sats.

Specnomination implies an artistic and cognitive prose for children from 6 to 11 years old about the children's theater, his history and theatrical figures that created children's theaters and productions (story, fairy tale, play, cognitive work). The volume of text, as for other nominations is limited to 15,000-25,000 characters with spaces. The jury of the special nomination represent the artistic director of the theater, director George Isaakyan and the head of the literary and pedagogical parts of Roxan Sats theater.

Traditional nominations of the competition Stories, fairy tales and informative works (books-travel, knowledge, biographies) for children remain. Work on moderation of applications will begin on September 1, 2017. The announcement of the winners is scheduled for November 15, 2017.
