The scenario editorial board prescribed to cut the chase frames in the first novel (long), remove episodes with Verry Papasom (deliberately) and cut the scenes of exams (fall out of the overall stylistry).

Fortunately for the viewer, the recommendations directed by the director ignored, for which she paid the status of the picture: the comedy, who survived his time, was assigned only the second category. The decision of the commission did not even affect the victory of the picture at the Krakow Film Festival (the rewards were awarded the second navigation state).

To the first category in the same 1965, films were attributed, which not only no one remembers now, but few people looked at and then: "Whom we love more" (for 7 months - 2.4 million), "Bridge is built" ( For six months - 2.6 million), "House in the dunes" (for the year - 3.4 million).

The comedy of Leonid Gaiday "Operation" S "..." in the year of exit to the screen (from mid-August, for 4.5 months) looked at 69.6 million viewers. It was the top line of the ranking in the list of the Prime Minister of 1965 and the absolute record for the films of the "non-serious" genre.
