Large exhibition "Picasso. Blue and pink » opens on September 18 in Paris. The early masterpieces of genius will collect for her from around the world, including Pushkin Museum in Moscow.

In addition to painting and graphics, the exhibition will show engravings and the first sculptural experiments of Picasso, as well as archival materials. One of the tasks of curators - to enter a young Spaniard in the context of the Paris scene, placing next to, and other contemporaries.
The beginning of the exposure built according to the chronological principle will be 1900. Picasso is 19 years old, and he first comes to the capital of France and the entire artistic world with each other Carlos CasAghemos at the World Exhibition. The first works are inspired by walking through the kabaks and brothels. In the summer of 1901, the noticed young genius arms the first exhibition of Picasso in his gallery. The sudden death of CasAghemos becomes a push for sad thinking about life, loneliness, old age and death, multiplied by their own poverty.
Picasso returns to Spain, then at the first opportunity, it turns back to Paris, infected with the freedom and creative air of Montmartre. He writes melancholic portraits of Spanish friends and exhausted poor people. Acrobats come to replace acrobats, athletes, the artists of the stray circus and with them - a new color gamut.
The final of the exhibition - for half a day to Avignon Maiden. In mid-1906, Picasso spent several weeks in the mountain village of Goslet in Spanish Pyrenees, where he experimented with the image of the body, mixing the classic ideals with archaic and primitive. Figures are deformed, divided into fragments and already foreshadow the appearance of cubism.
The exhibition will collect more than 300 works from museum and private collections around the world, including Japan, China and Canada, and, of course, leading institutions in Europe and America.
Among the masterpieces - a program for the "blue" period "Life" from the Museum of Arts of Cleveland, which will be shown in France for the first time in France, "Harlequin" from and "naked on a red background", which belonged to Marshu field Giyoma (now - Paris).
Pushkin will share the "Girl on the Ball", made on the cover of the catalog, and "Spanish from Major Island" from the former collection. It will be at the exhibition and hit of the Rockefeller collection - "Girl with a Basket of Flowers", which was recently sold for $ 115 million (according to some reports, it was bought by the family of art dealers Namad, which possesses the richest meeting).
The exhibition was prepared by ORCE together with Paris, which at the same time will show the exposition.
And from ORSE, the exposition in the reduced volume will go to the Beieler Foundation in Basel, where it will open on February 3 for the next year.

In 1904, Picasso settles in Bato Lavaroar - a famous hostel on Montmartre, where many artists found their refuge. When some extra money appeared, the artist visited the cafe "Prompt Oswelle". At the same time, he brought acquaintance with several oldevists who bought his paintings for his companions.
In February 1905, several works of Picasso were exhibited in the Serural Gallery on the Osman Boulevard. Apolliner wrote about him an article where a big future predicted painter. Personal patron, Olivier Sensser official, thanks to which the artist received a residence permit in France and some money for drawings. At the same time, Picasso became acquainted with collectors from different countries - by Russian merchant Sergey Shchukin, German Estet without special activities by Wilhelm Ude and Americans Herret and Leo Stein, writer and pianist. Brother and Sister Stuna helped Pablo to get out of poverty, generously paying for his work. Stunny and introduced Picasso with Henri Matisse, which turned out to be extremely significant for the young master. True, communication was for Pablo somewhat traumatic: the free and confident Matisse pronounced the most sponsored monologues, and Picasso, who spoke poorly in French, could only agree to alone. He also appeared with an eccentric buddy of playwright Alfred Zharry, an amaster of absinthe, ether and shooting. He always wore a pistol in his pocket and a cafe shot friends who considered it too sober. One day, his weapon was taken away and ... given Picasso. That, however, did not justify confidence, because I used a gun with the same extravagance as the former owner. Thank God, cost no excesses.
Thanks to the generosity of Staynov on May 20, 1906, Picasso, together with Fernanda Olivier, went on a trip to Spain and stopped in a small village Gosol in Catalan Pyrenees. A new period of his creative quest began.

The proximity of death, loneliness, forced return to Barcelona in 1903 due to lack of funds influenced the depressiveness of the paintings.
