In 1792, the estate acquires Ivan Petrovich Arkharov - the personality is very outstanding, the younger brother of Nikolai Arkharov - the Moscow Ober-Politzmeister. Under Pavel I, both brothers were produced into generals from infanteria. Ivan on the day of coronation of Paul received 1000 souls and appointment by the commander of the Moscow eight-bathedral garrison, by that time already heard by the Arkharian regiment. In the 1930s, the Architects of the spring brothers developed a project for which the lobby and wardrobe were attached to the old mansion on the first floor, the hall with a lobby appeared on the second, and on the third - a balcony with a hall and several technical rooms. The next reconstruction occurred at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s - there were changes in the location of the premises on the first floor, as well as restoration work in the parade of anfilade, which is the historical part of the building.

At the present stage, the house of scientists on the Prechistenka is one of the centers of the cultural and scientific life of the capital.
