Alexander La Nefeev: "If I can't find it in the top five of the laureates, I will not upset. II International Competitive Piano PianoGrand Piano Competition.Secheremonium Awarding Concert Celebration of the Competition 1 International Competition Grand Piano

Member of the I International Competition of Young Pianists Grand Piano Competition Alexander La Nefeev told why the victory in the competition is not important how to choose the program to speak, and why the language of music is universal.

- Sasha, did you choose the works for the contest or consulted with the teacher?

- I choose the program with Elena Vladimirovna Berezkin. We take into account not only the regulations of the competition, but also the tactics of my further development.

Usually we take works that we expect to submit to listeners next season. Thus, it turns out that for me a competition is a certain driving force. For example, I learned the second Sonatu by Rakhmaninov quite recently. And "Mephisto-Waltz" is already playing quite a long time. It seems to me that he even suffers from it.

- Do you only play your favorite works or did you have a special strategy for victory with your teacher?

- My favorite work always becomes the one on which I am at the moment I work. And now it is the second Sonata Rakhmaninov.

The teacher and I did not produce any strategy for victory, because for me the competition is just a stage in personal development. Today I just wanted to play wonderful music for the jury, for the audience, for yourself.

- Are you aimed at victory?

- We definitely win. But the composition of this contest is such a strong that, in my opinion, all participants deserve good prizes, wonderful scenes and best producers. The word "victory" in such a collective race is very relative.

I think the jury will be very difficult to allocate someone. If suddenly I will not be in the five of the laureates, I will not upset. With me, worthy musicians will remain with this feature.

- How does it happen that, playing music strictly on notes, still it turns out to be brought to the famous composition something from ourselves?

- The main, of course, the composer always remains. What he created is holy. However, notes that are written on paper are not music. It is necessary to invest in the work so that it came to life. And then in each sound you can capture a part of yourself.

- You know that the Grand Piano Competition jury has a lot of foreign masters. Do you think their perception of music and the estimation system should differ from the Russian manner?

- I am sure that the language of music is universal. Therefore, if I play well, it will understand everything: and the audience, and the jury. I would like to be a good text to become for me the material through which I could talk with my audience.

- Have you already been familiar with the guys before the start of this event?

- Sure! With many, I was well acquainted, we had previously communicated and even performed together on the same scene.

- Does your team now reign intense atmosphere? You are competing with each other.

- No, we have good relationships, friendly, because, as Denis Leonidovich says, primarily the festival. And the main thing here is not to win, but to be able to delight yourself and the viewer.

- In such a young age you already have so many achievements! I know that you participated in many contests in Russia and abroad. How a serious musician, do you have to travel a lot?

- Completely true! Many and often. And it sometimes upsets me, because the trips do not cancel the course of the educational process. When I leave, I'm still waiting for a class, piano and many hours of classes.

- That is, the trips are more forced for you? Or do you still get pleasure from this?

- Of course, I get great pleasure! When I go out on stage, I forget all the difficulties that had to overcome for this. And then I just enjoy the game.

- Do you have a couple of days to explore the city, see the sights?

- Always different. It often happens that I am too busy with preparation and rehearsals. For example, when the solo tour occurs suddenly. Although sometimes, the festival program is in such a way that participants can relax and inspect the sights, like Denis Leonidovich in the "Stars on Baikal".

- Often feel a shortage of free time?

- Probably, if I had a free time, I would prefer to work out more.

- On the stage you are confident. This is an experience?

"Yes, concert experience gradually brings confidence, but an element of excitement still remains." I think to worry during the game is absolutely natural. This is what you do not need to be afraid! And the excitement helps me to gather at the right moment.

- What moment is the most important speech for you?

- The excitement is present in front of the outlet on the stage. But it passes. During the game, there is no longer a trace, there is only a piano.

"Are you not distracted by the audience, you stay immersed in your music?"

- First of all, I play for the audience. And for me the most important thing is that the audience get fresh and vivid impressions.

- Tell me, please, about your mom. Do you now feel her support?

- Of course, without it in any way. My mother, and my teacher during the competition, is very supported. For me, as for any person, it is very important to get warm and love of loved ones.

- How did it happen that you are fucked by music?

- Very simple, mom as a child gave me to music school. And then I realized that I was interested. I truly funched.

- Mom foresaw such a course of events?

- At first, everything was really in passion. I know that my mother did not want me to become a professional musician. But when the situation broke, she actually took the place of my personal secretary. Therefore, the role of mom in my work is simply invaluable!

- Have you ever imagined that your life could be completely different?

- No, today I no longer see my life without music. It's all for me.

"The competition is not a concert," so I had to persuade myself while listening to the first Tour of Grand Piano Competition. When the participants went out one after another on the stage of the Rakhmaninov hall - even more challenge, even more difficult program, even less than the years, the piano began to gradually seem simply an apparatus for the production of Decibel. Golden Nutro under the open lid - and from there Forte, Fortissimo, Forte-Fortissimo, the load on the drummers was serious. In no case I do not want to blow with these high-strength young pianists: such a sound picture is dictated primarily by the situation itself. The guys came out to compete, virtuosity is a natural field of competition and an integral part of the high-end pianism, and it does not happen without decibel. In addition, I wrote in my time Negauz: "... the most difficult, purely pianosal task: play for a very long time, very strong and fast. A real spontaneous virtuoso instinctively "attacked" to this difficulty - and overcomes it successfully ... That is why so often we hear in young virtuosos who have to be large pianists, exaggeration at the pace and in force. " There is no reason to doubt that the definition of the "real natural virtuoso" applies to all participants without exception (given that the ability to play in the highest technical league since the time of Negauz all young people and young people): not being a born virtuoso, it is impossible to play at that age. In relation to the general average, the game of these guys (each of them!) - like a mountain vertex-five-year-old on the plain, but when they pass in front of you one after another, then the virtuosity begins to be perceived as something of granted, becomes the background, and on this The rumor background begins to want something else. It seems that the hero will be every one who will simply play quietly, warm and humane. And here you remember that the competition is not a concert.

And what if you take and specifically forget that this is a competition? Virtuosity, which is not more than an entrance ticket on this contest, make it possible for brackets? What is the sound picture? Here we came to listen to music, music is beauty. What did we hear?

We heard a lot of fermented, dense, round - what is called "high-quality" sound. A lot of such phrasing that could be thinner if, while one hand plays a beautiful melody, the attention of the players would not have dragged the strings of small music from another, so it was often noticeable that the technical difficulty dictates the phrase, although it should have been On the contrary. But this is only a private case of that situation when the player did not cover the entire texture of the whole: heard and controlled, for example, in a two-row, only one voice. Man is striving for integrity. The infinitely carrying impression produces when the pianist owns everything that he has at hand, and is responsible for each, it is every note: since the piano texture is almost always many-erect, it sounds as if on our eyes someone creates a new universe in our eyes Its fullness, and this is only a pale description of the pleasure that brings hearing the merge of various, clearly distinguishable votes - and pleasure it happens so much that it seems that it meets some kind of indigenous and difficult human needs. I can say that in the Rakhmaninovsky hall (I am writing about the first round, because it was attended by him personally) often had to dream about it. There was a lot of left hand, clinging to the right and interfering to hear the upper voice, the stereoscopy disappeared from this and began to sound flat. Many second and third fractions, casually discovering from the accompaniment in the waltzes. Many indifference to registers and their paints. The lack of the fifth finger in heavy chords when the melodic line disappears. All this is what distinguishes the sound picture from the perfect, shortcomings of sound control. Now and then the temptation arose to write them off their age, until the boy did not come to one fine moment and he did not play Haydna Sonatu so that, according to one of the acquaintances, as if stereo was included after Mono. Valentin Malinin.

I personally, it is very sorry that he remained a little in the shadows and talk a little about him, whereas in this competition he manifested himself as one of the most mature musicians from the point of view of meaningfulness and possession of sound. This is the case when a person comes out, and for him as if another piano roll out - a ringing, diverse, with the volume in sound. And at the same time he is the most inborn spontaneous virtuoso of a powerful temperament: during his "Bumblebee flight" sometimes left the earth from under his feet, and the leaf concert for the final looks like the most natural choice. I hope that the luminaries in the sky will still stand for him as it should and he has many honored victories ahead.

Listening to such a game, you think about the fact that the ownership of sound does not fall on a young pianist from the sky: someone must teach him to listen, first of all. Listen and hear what comes out of the fingers. Yes, ultimately this is a craft, but this is the craft that in the highest manifestations is closed with art, creating a unique beauty of piano sound. And let the truly unique beauty of Valentina Malinina still in the future, but the prerequisites are very good: the ability to hear everything is still not everyone, and the possibility of even the best teacher to teach it is not limitless.

Generally an amazing thing, these contests of young musicians: It is because the participants' game represents a alloy, in it and the personality of the participant himself, and the identity of his teacher himself, invisibly behind him standing. To invest in a student a nontrivial understanding of the music, it is necessary to have this understanding itself, and often, listening to an exciting game, you think that teachers who are modestly sitting in the hall must be like interesting musicians. There is nothing more touching than the Union of two people in the desire for beauty and artistic truth, even if one of them is small, and the other adult. Sometimes these unions have a star hour, as happened on the competitive speeches of Sasha Dovgan.

I do not know how the life of this girl gets up in the future, as she will play later - for sure something will come, something will go, but what we heard these days is truly unparalleled for the feeling of integrity and naturalness in everything. Fantasy-impromptu chopin was like a gust of wind. As if something unimpeded with one thread, immediately and entirely, and in his sincerity, it was the impression that if we compare with the recording of the recent laureate of Grammy Prize, then it is still unknown, whom I (I personally) would prefer. Of course, comparisons are not quite honest reception, but when you listen to it, it is not known where weird thoughts come from: that for Chopin sometimes it is better to be a ten-year-old girl than uncle with a beard, burdened by the need to justify expectations. Adults can not play it simply, it is necessary to reinvent something on top of the causing beauty of music. The child is not necessary, and the music flier seemed by itself, natural by.

"Changed," displeased voices were heard. No, did not drive. Yes, it was very fast. But few and adult pianists are able to achieve such a combination of such a combination of the fusion and separateness in these passages, and so that it produces so an angelic impression of the lack of effort. Well, yes, a few fleas in reprise, not without it, but - the last magnificent barcode is a desperate clan at the end, like a seagull, in front of the most farewell re-Bf Major, like with the next sun - who is it? Who heard so, Sasha Dovgan or the world Marchenko? Whoever is, and breathing at this moment intercepted from surprise. All I heard in Choral Baha, and the subject of special dignity is that when the theme of the chorable comes, the other voice is not lost - the one from which the work began, it remains as light and articulated as at the beginning, but also There is something that it seems to teach cannot be a feeling of progressive movement, a light step. And of course, no "two or three" sticks from Sasha Dovgan from the accompaniment in Walla Chopin, and there was also an unexpectedly listened Basa line - one more paint to the heart. How strange to see that the most impressive musician - at the present, adult score - was on this competition the smallest girl. You can still write all the finds and all of interest - for example, in a suite of unfamiliar Bortkevich, who heard with unreachable attention, but everything will not fit into the article, and in the end, it is difficult to convey the increasing feeling of surprise and joy that was accompanied by her the game.

Let those who I didn't mention me, forgive the fans of the wonderful seryl Davydchenko - others have already written about it and they will write, but Sasha made it an impression that it simply cannot be silent, especially since the voices spelling that she "dragged her ", And about the Grand Prix, they say, it was clear in advance. Personally, I do not know anything about this, but even if we assume that it is so, then in whose eyelid, the one who "dragged" was worth it worthy, and such a situation is not easy to carry out, I understand. Performances with orchestra comment hard when listening to the broadcast. There were noticeable the efforts of sound engineers and everything sounded alternately and as if from afar - it is likely to "take a little" orchestra, which at the opening of the competition showed that he may sometimes crush even such a more experienced and most powerful player as Matsuev. But even there, when it is impossible to judge with confidence about the sound side, it remains to enjoy the phrase in the concert of Mendelssohn, elegant, whitewally and at the same time natural as breathing. Natural gifting, already acquired skill, clarity of the worldview, sincere faith in what you are doing - all this merged from Sasha Dovgan in an amazing unity, which, maybe, along with this point of time, will never happen again, and we will never come together with millions of Internet Writers were convinced that the Wunderkinds, wonderful children really exist.

By chance, or not, what did the disciples of the worlds Marchenko produced such an indelible impression on me? Probably, not. There is also music priorities, in the end, who can coincide with someone or not coincide - it must have coincided with me, and from under the competition for me, a concert was sticking out. Music is a beauty, this is her strength. Thanks to those who do not let me forget about it.
