- Why did you go to America?
- In order to understand the reasons that I pushed me there, we must remember, in which country we lived. And what is for us, for Soviet people, there was even the word one "abroad." The first time I went to America in the 1989th, there Rhodes in the wife lived. It turned out so easy to buy a ticket and go. This simplicity of departure was so bribed, and wanted to live in another social environment. I did not go from Russia today, I left the Council of Soviet Union. In him, although the restructuring began, everything remained almost in the old way. - Elements of capitalism that here are present here, I know in America. The elements of the traditions of Soviet times also did not go anywhere. That is, life has changed little compared to what was in the Soviet Union. Just drove into it even capitalism: there was an abundance on the counters and ... there was a problem where to take the day, to buy all this. There is no such landscaped here. Separate social layers, of course, live very comfortable, but in the total mass a little changed.
- Russian is different from the Soviet person?
- Sure. New features appeared. But they are not the best. Still, the lack of a national idea, which was, affected the consciousness, was destructively affected. Many live only today and only their interest.
- Did you find yourself here?
- With difficulty, but found. I recline new songs, participating in different television projects. For example, in "Superstar".
- Rock in your activity is now present?
- Fragmentary. Because throwing away from your musical history a whole page, which was called the group "Araks", is impossible. But the artist should have the public, and the Rock of Council time today does not give the public. Well, except for two to three performers. - I try only co-temporary music, and professionally treat it. I read so more. I love modern fiction, a modern detective, something that does not heat the brains and is well written. Probably this is a way of self-insulation from the surrounding world. Because some prefer the TV, and I practically do not look, I get news from the Internet. In the free time I go to the sports club. I try to do it regularly.

- Yes. I have been married for thirty-three years. I have a son, he lives in America.
- Have a dream?
- There is a guiding star. For me, this is like a goal - to be in demand. In general, for any man you need someone: family, work, children, grandchildren is life. As soon as the demand stops, a man leaves. And if it is hard, then it dies right in the process. Of course, speak regrettable: six months did not pass, as Sasha Barykin died. He had to be in charge of a heart attack, which happened in January, pass the rehabilitation course. And he immediately rushed to concerts. And I know, he has a complete self-dedication on stage, the heart simply could not stand. And as opposed to him - Sasha Monin, the soloist of the group "Cruise", died a year ago from the abnormality. One at work burned down, the other from her absence was killed himself (alcohol). So said: "I do not want to live, soon die."
