- Have you set yourself a task - to restore the legendary statement of 1990 or do something new?

- It is impossible to restore anything. You can only assimilate the overall - one at all. I remember the overall, which I put Tabakov and who left over time. - What thoughts do you take for the role of Abram Schwartz today?

- This role is part of my life. He is one of those subtles who live in me and together with my experience are modified. I came now to the age of Abram. I was 24 years old when we started rehearsals. "Sailor silence" began as a performance of the MCAT Studio Studio Long before Oleg Pavlovich suffered her to the theater scene. I was a third-course student, and it was extreme. "In the distant 1980s, when we started working on the performance, I began to go to the synagogue and watch the praying. Vladimir Mashkov grew up in the theatrical family. His father Lion Mashkov was an actor Novokuznetsky theater dolls, and Mom Natalia Nikiforova in the 1970s worked there as the main director. - This is the phrase of Konstantin Sergeevich Stanislavsky: in the live theater there can be no tradition. Very important detail. Live has no traditions. You can't say how many apples should be on the tree traditionally. Nine? One hundred? Or maybe not one?

What is a tradition in the theater? Well, let's say, we decided that we would be very loud and clearly talking words in our theater. Or something to do it all the time. No, It is Immpossible. Theater is a living case, it's not a movie where I can say: "Stop, even a double." Each time artists should find a lively communication with a partner. Each performance is opening. - In the Oleg Tabakov Theater, you combine the functions of the artistic director and director. Is it difficult? Do you enter into disputes with yourself?
