Then there was love for a computer and the opportunity appeared at night to write some songs. He mastered the pair of musical programs and ahead ... I wrote at night, I went home in the morning, I listened ... I sat for the same months nine, I accumulated songs thirty-forty. Then I went to Moscow - just relax, visit. And took with you these songs on CDR, as they say, to every fire case. A girlfriend, which I stayed liked, she asked to rewrite. I made a trip to the Fili grams, but there I was told that CDR would not take, I need a cassette. I went away. I didn't go anywhere else - I did not like it. And my girlfriend passed the cassette rewritten on the "Mami Toll" producer Leonid Burlaca. Lenya called me in Ufa on the same day. I hardly scored money for a ticket and returned to Moscow.

Zemfira talks about the first stage of his career

Since 1996, Zemfira worked as a sound operator at the Ufa radio station "Europe Plus" - recorded commercials (jingles). At the same time, it tries to write in the CakeWalk program, which will later enter her first album ("Snow", "Why", "Synopic", "Rockets"). Participates as a second vocalist in a popular "Spectrum Ace" group at the time. Beck-vocals Zemfira can be heard in the song "What a pity that he is not black."

In the studio of the radio station over its material, the sound engineer Arkady Mukhtarov worked. Together with him, Zemfira records its first demo. Arkady was configured to record their own songs, but the performer convinced him to record her material: "Of course, I was sure that my own creativity is much more important ... The first musician with whom she began to work - bass guitarist Rinat Ahmadiev. Together they decide to record the program minimum of songs. Rinat leads the drummer of Sergei Mostinov, and they begin joint rehearsals on which Zemfira plays an alternately on the guitar and keyboards. In 1997, the group first writes the press. Journalist Svetlana Rutskaya wrote an article about the team for the regional newspaper and later recalled: "She went in 1997, before the release of her first album, two years remained, and the future celebrity was just a talented Ufa girl, no one else in his hometown. But the charisma does not hide, and the songs that gave me the heroine of the material to listen were attractive. Then we decided to tell about it the entire republic. Zemfira continues to recruit musicians into the team. With the arrival of the keyboard player Sergey Mirolyubov, the group is assembled almost completely, there is not enough solo guitarist. They become Vadim Solovyov, who joins the group after one of the concerts. Zemfira takes money to a trip to Moscow and begins to engage in the "promotion" of the team. At the annual festival "Maxidr" the cassette, on which three songs ("snow", "-140" and "scandal" were recorded, through journalists, to whom Zemfira gave to listen to demos, falls into the hands of the Mumi Troll group by Leonid Burlakov. In parallel with learning in the university, the girl began to work out, fulfilling popular songs in Ufa restaurants. However, such activities quickly bored her, and in 1996 Zemfira settled to work on the radio: she recorded commercials for the Bashkir branch of the Europe Plus radio station.
