At the initiative of Sergey Mikhailovich, other magnificent city buildings appear. In the style of Modern on Christmas street, 23 and the Nizhny Volzhskaya embankment, 11 (ARH.F. PEACHER) are created by the corps of the largest income complex, which arose as a result of the restructuring of the victims of the two houses of mitavicnikov. On the first floor there are shops there, and the second with the third floors of one of the houses were given Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The most honorary and wealthy banking clients were mitavicnikov, in connection with this, the bank was often called simply called "Mut-nursing bank".

Architectural building building, looking at the Lower Volga Embankment, was decided in style neoetics with pointed turmoys and with polychrome ceramic facing.

They left their mark in the history of the city and other children Mikhail Grigorievich. One of the daughters of the "iron old man" - Varvara Mikhailovna - Engaged charity, a children's shelter, consisted of membership of the Poor Assistance Company. She gathered a large collection of painting works, which later became fully included in the foundations of the city Artistic museum.

In early 20th century Shared by the children of the third generation of the guns, a two-storey stone house in Modern style was built (arch.p.dombrovsky) on the barbaric street. It was the so-called House of hardworking.

Hardworking house in Varvarina. NC.20 century.

Yes, there were such houses before the revolution, but not for those who love to work, but for the beggars who could fulfill a simple work for food and shelter. So, this house hardwork officially wore the name of Mikhail and Lyubov Mitvishnikov. It is worth it and is still, but already in a four-story form (d. 32, e).

Subsequent generations of gunshots

Of the next generation, the sons of Sergey Mikhailovich (the owner of the estate) - the most famous became the most famous Ivan Sergeevich and Mitrofan Sergeevich. Both of them accepted the revolution and helped to execute the People's Museum in their former house. Before that, they did a lot to open the historical museum in the walls of the Dmitrievskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

Ivan Sergeevich It was well known as the poet symbolist of the silver century before the revolution. His particularly glorified by the sensational in the early 20th century novel "Damned Rod", the plot of which is very close to the history of the municipal family. But although the novel is not autobiography, but a fully artistic work with a very peculiar and poetic language of presentation, representatives of the three clans of the municipal nurses are easily covered in it. For this novel, Ivan Sergeevich was rejected by the family, especially its older generation. Father deprived him of a million inheritance.

At the beginning of the 20s. 20th century Ivan Sergeevich was among the professorship Literary Institute of Moscow, headed the palace of arts. He was engaged in conversion activities.

Mitrofan Sergeevich He became a professional sculptor, putting the beginning of the sculptor dynasty. His son - Iulian, and later grandson - AlexanderReported at the beginning, became famous and recognized by Soviet sculptors. By the way, the son of Alexander - Philip - Today is the successor of the municipal sculptor dynasty.

The history of the creation of the manor of the municipal

In the 40s of the 19th century "Iron" Mikhail Muchliknikov successfully acquired a two-storey mansion with a manor site on dustSo then the future Upper Volga Street was called. Nobody used the house with a house, it was just investing money. After the death of Michael, this house on the will moved to his native sister, which moved there and moved.

However, the location of the house did not give rest Sergey MikhailovichThat dreamed exactly here to build a palace, which in the city there was not yet. Since the aunt move refused, Sergey persuaded her to sell her a manor garden, with the condition that she herself would stay in his home.

The architectural project of the new mansion was created in such a way that the Tetushkin house turned out inside it, an incent side wings and the upper floor. Thus, and the aunt remained to live up the eyelids in his home, and Sergey Mikhailovich carried out his dream, building an amazing structure, adorning the city so far.

Led architectural and construction activities P.Bukov - Moscow architect. St. Petersburg sculptor was engaged in sculptors M.Mikashin. The manor of the gunnikov was the first urban object where operated elevator and was conducted electricity. The front staircase is constructed from marble. In total, there was about fifty roomsIn which, ultimately, 8 family members should live. But the children grew and left for study.

In his novel, Ivan Sergeevich writes that they are children - did not love this huge and pompous house, calling him "Fortress", and father "Commandant". Perhaps it was associated with rather strict upbringing in an old-supplied family, and maybe it was just artistic fiction. No matter how things are in this family, the mansion himself produced an unprecedented Furior in the city - there was no one who had a more luxurious and rich structure.

By the way, a visit to this museum is pretty comfortable - here, in addition to the usual common areas there is cafewhere you can relax and bookstall, the choice of local lore literature in which is quite wide.

I decided to tell about the Uppervolzhsky Embankment - one of the most beautiful places of Nizhny Novgorod, and it was stamped about one house on it. True at home is unusual - this is one of the most luxurious city mansions - the house-manor of the gunnikov.
The embankment begins on the Square of Minin and Pozharsky and goes along the Volga Skonna to Sennaya Square. Twenty-one house. You go here as a museum and surprise all the time. Not such she and small, as it is considered. However, is it a kilometer?!
When we arrived at the embankment and began to look for parking, it became clear - the Kremlin does not park. So, loops "yards", we found a comfortable place - put the car on Piskunova Street, in a place where it adjoins the promenade.
The first house we saw on the Upper Volga Embankment, and was a house of mitavicnikov.

Advertising - Club Support

The embankment itself is magnificently - located on a high Volga shore, more like a refined boulevard, buildings here - completely monuments of architecture of different times. Rare beauty space. And this manor is a real pearl of Petersburg scale, no less. Eye cannot be pulled off.
When I got to write about the embankment, I began to disassemble the photos, I was surprised how carefully I looked at this house. That's why I will devote the first post about the Uppervolzhskaya Embankment only to this attraction. I do not want to mix the house of the municipal novels with nothing.
So, a few words about the past and this house.
The building that we now see was built in 1877 by one of the richest merchants of Nizhny Novgorod by Sergey Mikhailovich Mukhivichnikov. At this place there was already a mansion erected by his father. But the predecessor was twice as smaller and easier, it was simply "embedded" in a new building. Architects of this magnificent project - R.Ya. Kilein and P.S. Fighters, sculptural elements - the famous sculptor Mikhail Osipovich Mikeshin. The building is richly decorated with white decor, which looks amazing on a gentle blue background. This is, of course, recognizable by all Baroque. The building as a whole (and inside and outside) is made in the eclectic style. In those years, this style (mixing styles) was fashionable.
The whole manor consisted of the main house - the palace, a separate waggel and service buildings in the yard.
After the revolution, in 1918, the Nizhny Novgorod Local Lore Museum was organized in the house, which, although with some break, exists here so far. Under the break, I mean the following. Due to the emergency condition of the building in the 90s, the museum was closed, and almost ten years old was abandoned. Only in the 2000s began the reconstruction, which now, thank God, ended. And we can see the famous estate of the mushrooms in all its glory. Moreover, this beauty is not only an external facade. Internal interiors, according to stories, dazzling. No wonder the house is called the Nizhny Novgorod little Hermitage. This is a real palace!
As I wrote, now there is a museum here, only now it is rather an administrative building of the Nizhny Novgorod State Museum-Reserve than a museum with familiar historical expositions. The main task in the reconstruction was to restore the original type of facade and interiors. Those. The main house of the manor is the unique museum itself, where each room is made in its style (Baroque, Rococo), differs in color scheme and decor.
The palace operates in several directions - excursions are held here, as well as various events - from children's interactive birthday programs, graduation, various holidays, and wedding ceremonies - photo shoots, marriage registrations, and so on. It is good that the palace lives and attracts people to different pleasant reasons.
Unfortunately, we were not in the estate inside, because I came here at 9 o'clock, and the museum on weekends only opened at 12.
I present you photos of the houses of the municipal scan of the embankment, as well as the photo of numerous decorative elements.

The building hangs with a detailed list of programs carried out in the museum, as well as the addresses of branches.

The future house is great and beautiful. A thousand masonry will build. Drawings are plans from Moscow and from St. Petersburg. And there will be a house-palace. And in the palace one hundredmen. And the hall in two lights. And the staircase is marble, which is not anywhere. And there will be the palace to cost exactly a million ... May the whole city be asleep. Let it all be admired from the whole Volga. Where to stand the palace to that? Not in the street is narrow, where houses on both sides. And on the embankment on the top ...
So wrote I.S. Handshes in the novel "Damned Rod" about the dream of their father.

Musuals are one of those loud surnames with which Nizhny Novgorod is associated historically: merchants, breeders, bankers of mitvicnikov in the 19th century were known throughout Russia.
The princess of the Gregory Dynasty Mikhailovich Mitvishnikov was not born by an entrepreneur. He was a conventional blacksmith village Red Frame of Makarev County of the Nizhny Novgorod province. The entrepreneurial vein manifested himself later: having moved in 1817 following the Macarea Fair to Nizhny Novgorod, he bought a few shops and began to trade hardly to trade. The case went well - the number of shops grew, the capital has multiplied, and quite soon Grigory Mikhailovich founded his own rendering plant. In 1836, he was even awarded the medal from the department of manuff and domestic trade.
In children, Gregory Muzvishnikova, Nature also did not resist. With his son, Mikhail Grigorievich reached its highest bloom. Mikhail inherited from his father a sharp cuty mind and endless hardworking. He did not endure carelessness, laziness, held in strong hands not only those who worked on him, but also himself. At the end of life, Mikhail Grigorievich received a nickname iron old man.
Having accepted the case from his father, Mikhail Mukavenikov managed to put it so much, which was very soon became a monopoly supplier of iron in the Nizhny Novgorod province. His business reputation was so unshakable that the owners of the Ural Mountain Plants - Princes Golitsyn, Stroganov, Abamelak-Lazarev - preferred to have contacts only with Muchlishennikov. The state of the surname grew like on yeast. Mikhail Grigorievich opened large shops-warehouses in Nizhny Novgorod, a large equestrian plant in the godfish on the Oka, as well as the steel mill in the Canvine, who hardly produced the best steel in Russia: the products of the Canvine Steel Plant were supplied both in many Russian provinces and abroad . Having visited the plant high metropolitan chin with knowledge of the case, said: "I had the case to make sure that the steel factory Mr. Mitavishnikov was ahead of many others." Throughout his life, Mikhail Muchvishnikov improved the production, adopting the best experience with its own competitors. Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod, Manufactory-Advisor, a member of the provincial guardianship about the prisons of the Committee, the first guild of the merchant of the municipalists was one of the most influential persons in the city.
They say that the genes do not hide. Let me remind you, the founder of the merchant soda of Grigory, the municipals was originally a blacksmith and, probably, the blacksmith was not inflated: the tendency to the beautiful manifested already in his descendants nearby. His grandson, the son of an iron old man, Mitrofan Mikhailovich was an expert and collector of art objects. Many pictures from his private collection ("carpet-aircraft" Vasnetsov, "Lady under an umbrella" Kramsky) and today decorate the halls of the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum. Mitrofan's brother, Sergey Mikhailovich Mukhivichnikov left the memory of the construction of magnificent buildings, which today are the decoration of Nizhny Novgorod, including the manor of the gunnikhniki in the Uppervolzhsky embankment.

The head of the merchant kind of Mikhail Muchvishnikov bought a two-storey house on a slope from the merchant of Serpyon Veslzyv at the merchant. His son Sergey inheriting the house, decided to turn him into the palace. He decided to turn a modest one by the standards of a millionaire a two-storey house in a luxurious estate in the style of Italian Palazzo. Architects and artists helped the merchant to fulfill his idea. The third floor, the wings of the facade, the front staircase from marble, were completed.
The construction of the Architect Peter Boykov was heading from Moscow, the sculpture was performed by the famous artist Mikhail Mikeshin. In the first manor, electricity appeared in the city, the elevator worked.

By the way, the old two-storey house Sergey Mukavichnikov hid in his royal estate during the construction. This is one of the secrets of the house that you need to know. There are many versions of such a master's decision. The first - mitvicnikovs were exhausted, and it was economically more profitable to keep the old house, while having gone around it a new one. The second is more interesting - the owner of the estate succumbed to mother's persuasion, which wished the old house was saved. And in his novel, Ivan Mitvishnikov tells in detail the story of aunt, which categorically refused to leave the house. Then the merchant bought part of the Earth from her and built a new home, while retaining the rooms with low ceilings, unscrewed.

From the outside, the building is decorated with stucco, the Atlanta support the balcony, the burning figures of the Caryatid occupy window stones.

After completing the construction, the house was estimated at 15,000 rubles. From the owner in the city treasury, the $ 1933 of the ruble was taken annually - the largest amount in Nizhny Novgorod.

The first thing you see getting into this building is a wide front staircase with huge mirrors and painting.

Photographs were allowed only in three places. This is a lilac living room.

Looks gorgeous. By the way, a family of eight people lived in the house. Well be a millionaire!

And finally - the ballroom. With good acoustics, a huge mirror and a place for the orchestra.

And it was all for chic. We will not forget that the gunners are the Old Believers, for whom the family is in the first place. They lived on the third floor where there were simple wallpapers, good furniture. Almost the whole third floor was given to children who had a lot in the family. Yes, and the owner of the house rarely used a pompous office on the first floor. Millionaire-Old Believers could easily learn on a good-blooded, but a modest suit of dark tones, the absence of expensive jewelry. It was distinguished by the moderation in eating and often avoided noisy secular fun. This is what Stover did not regret the money - this is to improve your business - scientific developments and innovations, and, of course, for good things.
