The release of the book of the Bazhov "Malachite Casket" (1939) largely determined the fate of the writer. This book brought the Writer world fame. The talent of the Bazhova is not better manifested in the tales of this book, which he constantly replenished. The Malachite Casket is a collection of folk stories for children and adults about life and life in the Urals, the beauty of the nature of the Ural Earth.

In the "Malachite Caustice" contains many mythological characters, for example: the hostess of the copper mountain, the Great Poloz, Danila-Master, Grandmother Sonyyushka, Fire Town-Pokakushka and others.

In 1943, thanks to this book, I received the Stalin Prize. And in 1944 he was awarded the Order of Lenin for fruitful creativity.

Pavel Bazhov created many works, on the basis of which ballets, operas, performances were delivered, films and cartoons were removed.

Death and heritage

The life of the writer was cut off on December 3, 1950. The writer was buried in Sverdlovsk in the Ivanovo cemetery.

In the hometown of the writer, in the house where he lived, the museum is open. The name of the writer is the People's Festival in the Chelyabinsk Region, an annual prize given in Yekaterinburg. Pavel Bazhov has memorable monuments in Sverdlovsk, Polevsky and other cities. Also named the writer is the streets named in many cities of the former USSR.
