Christmas bargaining.

The canvas on the themes of festive provincial life are different, only for Kustodiev characteristic brightness, multicolored and the vitality of the smallest details. Folk holidays and festivities have reflected in many works of the artist of different years. Becpending the student of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, Kustodiev the theme of his thesis chose a picture on a similar plot. He traveled around the villages, wrote etudes - portraits of peasants, landscape sketches, genre scenes. The same topic also includes the "christmas bargain" - a work created by the artist in 1918.

Hitting the life and morals of the Russian province, Kustodiev surprisingly combined painting with verbal and musical folklore - with a song and a fairy tale. Attentive, thoughtful viewer not only sees, but also "hears" the artist's work. Written, most likely, in memory, the picture does not have an accurate geographical address - this is Russia at all, not the Astrakhan or Kostroma Christmas Bazaar. The effect on the canvas is as if "in some kingdom, in some state." The spacious sky and the gilded domes of the church over a fussy human anthill - who are only not among this motley crowd! Real wonderfully combined with fantastic: colorful tale, full of living parts, appears before us. And the artist, as if a real storyteller, emphasized everything funny, toy, which is in this uncomplicated narration, hiding everything serious that could be in it hidden. The Christmas Bazaar is depicted by an artist as a festive spectacle. The pattern of the picture resembles a stage platform. The location of the figures, at first glance, is given chaotic: the image can be continued and right, and left. The impertness of the composition, its peculiar fluidity even more strengthens this is the overall impression.

A great place is allocated in this genre scene. The scenery - fabulous seems to be church domes on the background of a snow-covered sky, ate was removed into elegant winter clothes - the main object of bargaining at the fair. The brush smear on the canvas artist did easily, smoothly, even somehow delicately. Large importance attached to the line of line, drawing, playing color spots. Light in this case does not matter much, the light becomes very conditional. Local color spots form a harmonious decorative whole. The sky closed with clouds does not have depth, the dome of the church is intense in color, so that the difference of plans is reduced almost.

On the one hand, the bush is notified and transferred to the canvas genuine types of the Russian province, the real atmosphere of the pre-New Year fuss is transferred and on the other - a festive performance, a costume performance with beautiful scenery is playing in front of us by the artist. Joyful, with nothing with a comparable feeling of fullness of life and movement permeates the canvas. Life in this work is visible everywhere: the people are happy and fussy, in the sky draws his intricate snowy winter patterns in the sky, and all this action will enhance the fresh coniferous aroma of the ate-beauties.

The world in the picture of Kustodiev is similar to the magic light with ever-changing pictures - you can endlessly observe his diverse, so simple, Nomudren and at the same time a complete deep meaning of life. The blue and gentle-white paint paintings are packed, pleased, as if they burn, creating a gentle and poetic atmosphere of the miracle standby on the eve of the holiday - timeless, always modern. They remind us eternally busy and anywhere in a hurry that everything in this world is fine that life is amazing already because it is life.

Solomatkin Leonid Ivanovich (1837 - 1883) visited the classes of the Imperial Academy of Arts and received a small silver medal for the paintings of the "Name Day" (1862) and "Slavic-Gorodi" (1864), which V. The last plot was subsequently repeatedly repeated, not less than 18 copyright replicas, although the first option was not preserved. Art Catalog

In the painting "In the cellar on a batch week", Solomatkin depicts his favorite heroes - stray musicians. Talent is a burden or gift, happiness or curse? Talent is fate. The artist himself and his heroes did not make talent happy, but they with dignity fulfill their destination. The musicians depicted in the picture knew the best days. The Cello, which plays an old man is a professional tool that allows the musician to qualify for a certain chosenness, indicating a certain level of living, remaining in the past. The old man is accompanied by a boy blowing on him on a pipe. Apparently, for the sake of this boy, carefully covered with a warm scarf, the old man has to wander with a heavy zucchini tool in a zucchini, earning bread. In the room there is a Christmas tree decorated with toys, and masks and masquerade costumes hang on the hanger, giving all this a phantasmagoric tint.Art Gallery Fund Generations KhMAO Ugra

Christmas painting "Kolyada".

Author: Kapitonova Olga Fedorovna. Educator MBDOU №1 "RUCHEKS" GO "ROOMS" Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) city Yakutsk Village "Rudyat".
Let me present to your attention a master class, for the manufacture of a Christmas painting for preschool children.
In my work, I use the mixed technique of fine art - gouache, pastel.
Purpose: Christmas decoration for a group, New Year's deal, a picture can be hanging on the wall, decorate a corner for parents in the hallway, give the Christmas to the Christmas holiday, to the competition.

Description: This Master class is intended for educators, teachers of additional education, methodologists and for parents.
In the church ledge on the night of January 7 (December 25, Jesus Christ was born on the old style). Holiday Christmas Christ is considered the greatest, worldwide and happy. Christmas is preceded by a forty-day post, which ends with the forever of Christmas, or Christmas tree. And since the Board of the Roman Emperor of Justinian, the winter Christmas shints, which begin a week before Christmas and continue until the baptism itself. The first week of the density was made to call the holy evenings, and the second evenings are terrible or called the Wheel. As soon as the first holy day of terrible evenings, as small disregards appeared on the street, teenagers dressed in the twilight, and they were danced by night, they sang adults. The girls loved to fall into a male dress, and the young men in the female. The faces were painted by soothe, homemade "Cuddles' cosmas" put on their heads, the teeth were cut out into the mouth, and the wheels of the horns were attached to the caps, turning at the rich devil.
The carriage is the God of the Ancient Slavs, who brought the calendar to people. The name "Calendar" consists of two words: the strides of the gift. It means that it was a gift to people of the very striding. Also, the God of Kolyada taught people to look at the stars and see their patterns, from which the science of astrology was subsequently formed.
The time of winter holidays and Christmas in our time before was time when people glorified the strid and sang him small songs to get other happy gifts from him. At this time, children and adults earlier went through the yards of the neighbors and just sang the songs, glorifying the new year, new life, thank songs of the gods.
During the carol, it was happy to meet the quarrellies, and after the execution of the car bead, to give various christmas gifts and sweets - mostly, these were candy, cookies and other Christmas sweets. Not only poor people went to collect, but also many rich urban and villagers loved singing Christmas songs into these holidays. Some relatives arranged a kind of competition, who will bring gifts gained for Christmas ranks - it was considered a good kind of kind for the coming year. If the rounder received many gifts in response to his songs, then this meant that he would be rich and sufficient for him. Also, it was also considered a good acquaintance of carolovers in Christmas - in this case, God himself takes care of the giving a donor and gives him his gifts, which in all respects surpass the gifts of people donated during the card. In this case, God will generously return to the donor by all those benefits that will be needed to him in a difficult moment - either health or a happy case or the desired meeting.
Purpose: Drawing the plot christmas holiday "Kolyada" in the mixed technique of execution.
Tasks:
Educational - to learn to draw the figures of children, distinguishing their characteristic signs; draw in different ways to paint; To acquaint with the history of the Russian traditional holiday "Nativity of Christ".
Developing - develop creativity, fantasy, the ability to embody the plots of festive mood in the picture.
Educational - to form interests to the traditions of the native land, cause an emotional response to the story picture.
To work, we will need:
Watman white format A-3, A-2 - 2 pieces;
Gouache;
Tassels number 2, №3;
Oil crayons (pastel);

Simple pencil;
eraser;
black marker;
cotton discs;
double sided tape;
stationery knife;
line 40 cm;
palette;
scissors.

Picture of "Kolyada".

Stages of work
1. Preliminary work: Choose a drawing from children's readstatology, on a Christmas theme.
2. On Watman A-3 format, a simple pencil draw silhouettes of children in the left side of Watman.

3. In the right side of Watman, we draw a church.

4. After the silhouettes of children and the church are drawn to circle drawings with black felt-tip pen, in order to be clearly visible the contours of the pattern.

5. Then silhouettes apart in different color shades.

6. After the silhouettes are deserted, draw asterisks, and apart by a gouache in a blue color.

7. We make a background for our painting, take chalk blue and apart the whole drawing.

8. Then with cotton disks rub the whole picture.

9. It turned out almost the finished drawing, but in order for the picture to be more beautiful, I make a passecut.

10. For this, I take the Watman of the A-2 format and cut out the frame under my picture, on the back side of the Watman, make marks accordingly with the size of the future passecut. Using a simple pencil and ruler.

11. With the help of the line, we draw a square, with straight lines connect the square angles diagonally. According to drawn lines, we make cuts with a knife.

12. Cut the inner square. We begin the edge inside, so that the edges are smooth.

13. After our frame is ready, I apoxide her in the same way as the background of the picture, but only pick up a light tone, so the plot of the paintings of the evening, the frame should be brighter, so that it was not too dark. Choose colors according to the picture, I chose a bright yellow color.

14. The last step remains to connect the passecut, drawing and frame. First, with the help of bilateral tape, stick the image on the watman sheet with a passecut so that it is just inside the "window". In the perimeter on the inside of the passecut, stick the double-sided tape by cutting it with pieces of 1 cm. Adhesive tape is needed strictly in the middle of the passecut.

15. Then neatly glue the picture to the passe. It is best to first consolidate horizontal sides, then vertical. Carefully flexing the paper and remove the protective stripes from the scotch.

16. After the picture was glued, in the corners of the internal passecut, we glue the tape, paste the frame around the perimeter, then add scotch pieces on the sides.

17. Align the picture. But if the inner light frame is not able to make the same on all sides, take the knife or scissors and very carefully correct these irregularities - cut the internal passe.

Appeal to the topic of the Bolf-car beads, which are usually held after Christmas and last for almost two weeks, is most likely with childhood memories. Two weeks of winter holidays, from the Christmas Christmas Eve (January 6) before baptism (January 19), were in ancient times of the time of recreation and "guest", therefore, they sat down at this time with congratulations, and in the long winter evenings we walked on the narrowed.
Now you will not meet having fun laughs in the house, which with harmonica go from home to the house, sing and sentenced the rhymed wishes, congratulations to the owners, let me ask the treats and continue the way further. However, in Russia, such a time was not taken to be taken, the Ukrainians, Belarusians, Poles and Bulgarians were famous for this. There are still preserved these traditions, transformed into new forms - from concerts and street processions to contests and folk festivities. This is a subtle line between church church and merry christmas, as a tribute to the traditions of the people, born back in paganism.
In the Internet edition of Orthodoxy and the world, I found an interesting article by Seraphim Nuthanov, which I would gladly quote, because in it a detailed history of the holiday and customs, and thought-thinking, consonant with mine.

The tradition of the celebration of the Church is rooted in such deep antiquity that there are no oral legends from those times. When Prince Vladimir dropped pagan idols into the Dnieper, the custom was already five hundred years. And even when Rurik founded Novgorod, the shints were already nozzles.
Employees of the Russian Ethnographic Museum claim that in the Doharistian Rus, the Script was associated with the name of God of Svyatovit. What is this God and why he was allocated a special two-week holiday, scientists argue so far. It is assumed that "Svyatnit" is just one of the names of the Supreme God Perun. Whatever it was, the Slavs were in every way trying to be improved, first of all, then he would send an abundant harvest. At the shields, the shit was supposed to leave a few festive food, which was specifically thrown into the oven. Slavs believed that at the beginning of the winter the spirits of the gods and the soul of the ancestors go down to the ground, and at that moment they could "elapse" and abundant harvest, and the fitness of her husband and money, and in general, anything.

Church of the Holyness

The Christian tradition of the celebration of the Church is also known from antiquity.
In the IV century, the Greek Christians rested, having fun and purely celebrated two weeks after Christmas (according to one of the versions, the word "shints" happened from the verb to "sodia", since the people of "holy", that is, the people of Christ glorify Christ and the birth of Christ) . Special attention was paid to ensuring that the joyful mood was in all: poor people, slaves prisoners. In Byzantium, it became customary to the shield to bring food and gifts to prisons and hospitals, helping the poor. Mention of Holie, as a special posturer celebration, can be found in the works of the Amvrosia of the Mediogenian, Grigoria of the Nis and Ephraim Syrin.
With the coming of Christianity, the shints in Russia began to fill out with a new meaning. Nevertheless, the attitude of the Russian Church to the Sactipid Guides has always been ambiguous. Many hierarchs were expressed not only against fortunes, but against the ranks and custom of "falling out" on the basis of a resolution of the VI of the Ecumenical Cathedral, which says: "Respecting for wizards or others like that, to find out something intimate, yes to be subject to six-year-old Epitiai ( i.e., for six years, they are removed from the communion) ... Dances and rites committed by the old and alien Christian life rite, reject and determine: no one from husbands to dress in women's clothing, not inherent to her husband; Do not wear masks. "
Then the supporters of the holy came up with a witty "solution" of the problem: the baptism in the ice of the river or the lake did a hole in the form of the cross, and the entire population of the village dipped into it, washing off the sins perfect on the sagnes.
Over time, the religious meaning of the pagan traditions was finally forgotten, and the shints became time when the people of purely famous Christmas and the mercy of the Lord, who sent Jesus Christ to Earth. From the ancient pre-Christian densities, only winter remains, purely Russian irrepressible fun.

This evening on the eve of the old new year. The celebration of it comes from the ancient, probably pre-Christian custom. According to the Christian calendar, it is also a day of Reverend Melania (Melanki, Malanks, Milanky). Milanka-Water comes to a generous evening along with Vasilo Moon, notify the owners about future celebrations and bother, and the people are called - the living rooms of Melanki. In the Ukrainian folk tradition, both holidays united in a generous evening, or the holiday of Melanki.

Carols

Where did the word "carriage" come from, it is extremely difficult to install. In different parts of Russia, this word has a different meaning. In the north it's just "Christmas Eve", in the villages of the Novgorod region "Kolyada" - gifts received for Christmas. In Belarus, "Collast" means "praise Christ". But scholars-ethnographers believe that this word Ancient Slavs called the holiday of winter solvents.
In our understanding, carols - this is something like the curls of Winnie Puha, in which the owner of the house is praised and through which this host has a treat.
Songs often composed right on the go, but existed in this art traditional, coming from the Russian times. The owner, for example, was not different as "ledged month", the host - the "Red Sun", their children - "clean stars."
However, who knew how more expressive magnifications came up with: "The owner in the house is like Adam on paradise; The hostess in the house is that pancakes on honey; Malls of deudes - that grape red-green ... "The quarrels promised a rich harvest and a happy life to those who give meals, and all sorts of miser. Sometimes even threats sounded in the songs: "Who will not give the cake - we will minimize the cow for the horns who will not give the ham - those split the cast iron ..." All this, of course, is joking. Sometimes they sang absolutely, even deliberately meaningless sentences. The owners took guests, gave anyone that could.

Customs

In the oldest, Doperer times was a custom on Christmas Day in every village to light a fire, which with his light in the dark of the winter night symbolized the Bethlehem star and burned to the most baptism.
Another holy custom - to gather the whole family in the evenings, calling guests (as much as possible), telling fairy tales and make riddles (as complex). This tradition, like a bond, lived not only in the villages, but also among the city nobility.
Literary critic Yu. M. Lotman in his comments to Evgenia Onegin writes that it was accepted to share "holy evenings" and "terrible evenings" (the first and second week after Christmas, respectively). In the "Saints" arranged merry night gatherings, in the "terrible evenings" - gadal.
Young people were going to pay, in the afternoon - to ride a sleigh, play snowballs. By the way, after the shield there was always a lot of weddings. "In the gatherings, fortune tells, games, the songs are all directed to one goal - to the rapprochement of narrowed. Only in the sinic days of the young man and the girls easily sit in hand, "wrote folklist I. Snegivere" Songs of the Russian People ".

Hooliganism, consecrated by tradition

The most "antisocial" bobbin tradition is "pampering". Children and adolescents gathered at night in large vatagi and born as they could. A classic joke was to pinch outside the gate in some house or strangle firewood.
Another entertainment is a ritual abduction of something. You could kidnap by anything, but necessarily with noise and songs, not secret. In Soviet times, despite all the prohibitions, collective farm tractors often "abducted. Immediately after the holidays, they, of course, were returned to place. The last days of the branch were devoted to the preparation for baptism. The best rustic masters drove the cruciform cut in frozen reservoirs and decorated it with the patterns of ice.

Traditions of the Sky in Rus

The history of the state settlement of the Satin Festival is very diverse. The first legislative acts on this issue were published under Peter I. "Tsar Peter loved the bond and he himself went home to the company in the company. And those who refused to take part in this fun, ordered to beat the screamers, "the employees of the Russian Ethnographic Museum tell. After the death of Peter I, the attitude towards the collage changed dramatically. In the second half of the XVIII, it was even forbidden to be bonded and the ominance: "It is forbidden to start the Nativity of Christ and in the continuation of the shield to start, according to old idolatry legends, playing and, dressed in the mushroom robes, produce dance and sing seductive songs through the streets," the imperial gram .
Most likely, the authorities were simply afraid of massive drunkenness and hooliganism, and not worried about the moral appearance of omens. Whatever it was, it was probably one of the most frequently broken laws of the Russian Empire, and they soon forgot.
After the revolution, there were no special decrees on this score, but the shints, like other holidays, wearing religious character, were constantly pursued, so they soon left the cities in distant deaf villages.

New birth of old traditions

What do we do during the shin? At best, go to visit each other. And most Russians generally spend their winter holidays at the TV, listening to New Year's congratulations of the stars of show business. True, some parents try to arrange a home holiday on these days with their Chadam. But the shints are not really reduced to the children's matinee - our ancestors celebrated them with the whole family, from Mala to Great.
After all, there is a lot of codnies who do this time especially joyful. Why not remember them?
In Kolomna, for example, enthusiasts were found - artists of the Pilimgrim Folklore Theater, who managed to organize real urban downtime. From the beginning of the 1990s, they go to rank over the streets of the Old Kolomna every year. First, students of Kolomna Sunday schools joined them, then - the parishioners of nearby temples. And in 2008, several hundred adults and children participated in such a collage.
Chants can be found not only in Kolomna. The author of the article talks about how children are going and under the leadership of adults go to rank with a bag on all floors in the usual multi-storey Moscow house in which he lives.

Completes the article by the question: why don't you try to organize something similar where you live? Believe me, nothing likes the mood like two dozen cheerful and toothless babies, unstorbly wearing something congratulatory.

Seraphim Ohechanov

The shints are the Slavic People's holiday, which falls on the winter. The sick week of Orthodox Christians lasts from January 7 to January 19, starting from the Nativity of Christ to the baptism of the Lord. The Catholic Holiday falls for the period from December 25 to January 6.

History

Mark this event began in ancient times. In the 6th century there was a Scripture, stating about holidays, when it does not relying to cope wedding and put the bows. In 567, the second Touron Assembly celebrates the Days of the Nativity of Christ to the Epiphany festive.

In the Roman Empire, the unlawful law on the collage and fortune telling during this period was often disturbed, despite the rules of the Universal Cathedral. In Russia, there was even a law prohibiting the ancient idolatry gifts, a variety of superstitious players and dressing up in the idols for imitation. Also in Russia during the shield it was forbidden to make a grandiose walking with songs and dances.

Traditions and customs

Despite the law, people celebrated the shints in their own way. On the first day of the holiday, it was customary to visit loved ones and relatives, as well as to attach attention to the poor, deprived of and begging. Many families in Russia helped the disadvantaged, feeding them. Attended children's homes, shelters, hospitals. Even the kings, changing in commoners, visited prisoners in prisons and served alms on the street asking.

There was a tradition to give gifts, who came from paganism - she crushed with the gifts to the gods. People gave gifts to familiar and friends, ranging from cheek souvenirs and ending with expensive presents.

The key point in the celebration of the density was considered a family meal. Women got a spokeswoman to cook on the table and climbing the house. Different dishes were preparing: Bucket, sweet pancakes, nuts with nuts, sbits, mackthorn, oatmeal. The table was covered on all those present by adding additional devices for the deceased in the last year of relatives.

The completion of the branch was preparation for baptism. The tall men from the whole village were collected together and went on the reservoirs. They drove the hole for the upcoming ablution. Usually they were engaged in the last two days of the shield.

Celebration

The unchanged attribute of the denacity was fortune-telling when young girls were going and learned their future. Rituals were different, in each village there were their rules of divination and their own attributes needed for the ritual. I wondered mainly on the grooms, wanting to find out the name of the narrowed, his age or appearance. Sometimes we wondered to the date of marriage and the number of children. Adults were limited to the signs for which they tried to determine prospecting in the family in the new year.

The obligatory element was and carols, where young people hung. The guys and girls dressed in new clothes, which was pre-mastered before the holiday.
