Three sign pictures, each of which is rightly considered a classic. But only "Alien" waited for immediate success - two other films had to do a long way before they found their viewer.

After a series of rejected scenarios, it seemed that the project would remain a project. Everything changed after the release of "Alien", who returned interest in the films about alien monsters. After that, "something" began to promote as "someone else's polar station."

The studio offered the post of director John Karpenter, a long-lasting fan "Something from the other world." His candidacy was reviewed earlier, but then on the account of John there was no commercial hits. The phenomenal success "Halloween" changed it.
