The DPR Minister of Defense was shot with anti-aircraft guns for sleeping at a meeting. Jung Yong Hwa (Yonghwa) - biography, filmography, news and personal life How and for what they are executed in North Korea

South Korean intelligence released data on new repressions in the DPRK. The country's defense minister, Hyun Yong Chol, allegedly fell victim to the regime. His fatal offense was a dream at one of the military events. The official was sentenced to capital punishment and has already been carried out. However, this is not the first time a high-ranking civil servant has been executed in North Korea.

The fact that the dream at the parade of the DPRK Minister of Defense eventually became eternal was reported by South Korean intelligence officers. It is not known for certain where they received such data and whether they received it at all. But representatives of the special services claim: the minister was shot in front of hundreds of officials from an anti-aircraft machine gun for dozing off at a military event in the presence of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Kim Jong-un. In total, this year alone, South Korean sources have counted 15 executions of high-ranking North Korean civil servants. True, not all messages were confirmed.

"This case, allegedly, the shooting of the Minister of Defense of North Korea, is similar to the injection of South Korean intelligence. Experts believe that there really are problems and most likely this Defense Minister has been taken into custody. Naturally, there is no smoke without fire," he explained. Director of the Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences Sergei Luzyanin.

According to numerous reports from Seoul, the North Korean leader is equally merciless to strangers and his own. He is credited with the execution of his own uncle, as well as all his relatives, including small children. The South Korean agency then wrote that the soldiers following the order killed people right in their homes in front of neighbors.

Kim Jong-un's uncle was the second person in North Korea. He was accused of attempted coup, corruption, depraved behavior and drug use. And the very next day they were shot. Again, news of this came from South Korea. As well as the information that the young leader of the DPRK simply wanted to get rid of the gray cardinal from his father's team in this way.

Then the fact of execution of the death sentence was confirmed by North Korea. But the DPRK categorically denies the murder of Kim Jong-un's aunt, whom he allegedly ordered to be poisoned. Information about her fate was announced by one of the defectors to the South Korean side. According to him, the relative fell out of favor for the fact that she began to openly oppose the policy of the new leader of the country. The most diverse versions of her death were put forward - either a heart attack after a phone call from her nephew, or a suicide after her husband was shot. Some journalists later described cases of a miraculous resurrection and found a woman alive in one of the European hospitals.

The dictator was also accused of the mass execution of a whole musical group - ten performers. Kim Jong-un allegedly did not spare his former lover. She was publicly shot along with the musicians on charges of violating the law against pornography and political dissidence. Some members of the group found a Bible banned in North Korea.

The UN even raised the issue of bringing Kim Jong-un to justice for crimes against humanity. Western experts predict a quick loss of power due to excessive cruelty and incompetence in politics. According to some forecasts, high-ranking officials and the military may remove their leader in the next three years. In North Korea, all accusations of mass torture and executions are denied and considered part of the US plan to discredit the country's political system.

The details of another high-profile execution at the northern neighbor's was announced by the Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service (LDC) of South Korea, Han Ki Bom, during a closed briefing for members of the parliamentary intelligence committee. The content of the briefing was "leaked" to reporters by MPs Wu and Xing Gen Min, the local news agency Renhap reports.

The 66-year-old DPRK Defense Minister Hyun Yong Chol was allegedly executed on April 30 at a shooting range at a military school in the Songhwa District of Pyongyang. Presumably, he was shot from anti-aircraft machine guns in the presence of several hundred people. According to intelligence, the minister was arrested on April 28 after a concert by the female pop group Moranbon. The official was shot "without trial or investigation," they write in South Korea.

Officially, the death sentence was passed for treason, although South Korean intelligence claims that he simply fell asleep at a meeting with the country's leader.

According to South Korean sources, he allowed himself to argue with Kim and did not follow some of his instructions. Disobedience to the dictator led to the execution.

Defense Minister Hyun Yong Chol is one of the key figures in the country's leadership and the country's ruling Workers' Party of Korea. He was appointed Chief of the Korean People's Army in July 2012. At the post, he replaced the previous vice-marshal Lee Yong-un who was close to Kim Jong-un, whom the dictator stripped of all posts in the Politburo of the Workers' Party of Korea and dismissed "for health reasons."

Hyun Yong Chol made significant progress in his career last June when he was appointed head of the DPRK State Defense Committee. In this post, he replaced General Chan Chong Nam, whose fate after his resignation is still unknown. At the time of his execution, the minister was the second person in the country's military hierarchy after the head of the main political department (GPU) of the armed forces.

As noted, the fall of Hyun Yong Chol happened just a month after he took part in the Moscow conference on international security (in September last year, the then DPRK Minister of Defense met with the Russian President). According to Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV,

During his last visit to Russia, Hyun Yong Chol made an unsuccessful attempt to purchase rockets and launch equipment from Moscow.

Due to the failure in this direction, the TV channel claims, Kim Jong-un made a decision to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow. According to an official statement from the Kremlin, the North Korean leader did not attend the May 9 Victory Parade "because of internal affairs." Observers from South Korea suggested that the dictator was simply engaged in internal purges.

Publications of executions and purges in the highest echelons of power in Pyongyang began to appear shortly after Kim Jong-un took over the reins. The most notorious execution was carried out in December 2013, when, after a public trial, the uncle of the DPRK leader Jang Song Taek, who was previously considered his mentor, was executed for treason, anti-party factional activities and moral decay. According to information from South Korea, this year alone, the leadership of their northern neighbor shot 15 officials, in 2014 - 41, while in 2013 only 10 executions were carried out.

Last year, the media reported that Kim Jong-un personally burned with a flamethrower his uncle's close associate, Public Security Minister Oh Son On, after being accused of corruption.

Jang Song Taek's deputies were also executed or sent to labor camps. At the end of 2013, the South Korean edition Chosun Ilbo wrote that Kim Jong-un publicly executed his former lover, singer Hyun Sung Wol. She was allegedly shot on charges of producing and distributing pornography along with musicians from her Unhasu Orchestra.

These executions have intensified the speculation in the press that the North Korean dictatorship will soon collapse.

The extreme closeness of Pyongyang with the presence of a brutal dictatorship serves as a basis for demonizing the regime and the regular appearance of the most unusual ducks in the press. The site broadcasts the news about the incident with the DPRK Minister of Defense, taking the word "executed" in quotation marks. The BBC said the information from North Korea could not be verified. Information often comes from defectors who are trying to prove their worth in this way. Experts note that more often than not, such messages are part of a propaganda war between South and North Korea. For example, Seoul intelligence denied rumors about the execution of the leader's aunt Kim Gen-hee. Earlier, referring to the words of a high-ranking defector from the DPRK, he said that by order of the leader, Kim Gen-hee was forced to drink poison. Kim was the wife of the executed Chan Song Taek, the second figure in Pyongyang. “According to our information, nothing unusual has happened to Kim Kyung-hee, she is still alive,” the deputy director of the LDC quoted the parliamentarian who spoke with him.

At the same time, even in the DPRK, the post of defense minister is more public: he makes foreign visits, and his absence will be proof that something has happened to the minister.

Back in April, Hyun Yong Chol gave a speech at a conference in Moscow, which was built around propaganda clichés. He promised to respond to any challenges from the "American imperialists", and also promised "to rally even more around Comrade Kim Jong-un." Listening to the speech of the Korean minister in the press center, one of the Russian military said to the other: “Well, the man is burning,” this phrase was heard by the correspondent of Gazeta.Ru.
