The use of BIMx® significantly helped in making a decision on the project - the head of the project, Elena Myznikova, is sure: “At the final presentation of the concept, we provided the customer with the opportunity not only to see the future building outside and inside, but also to “walk” through it using an application downloaded to the customer’s tablets . Consider in detail the facades, the interconnection of rooms, analyze the materials. Thanks to the carefully designed model and its presentation, the customer believed that everything that was drawn would be built. One of the important advantages of the BIMx® application is that it does not put a significant load on the hardware and can be downloaded to any smartphone and tablet. The application became a serious help in communication with the customer and later, in work on the “P” stage, especially since it allows simultaneous navigation through 2D documentation and 3D building models.”

The architects of TPO "Pride" believe that Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies must be actively used in modern design and construction, and have been working with BIM design technologies for four years. However, it was in the project of Irina Viner’s center that they first decided to use the OPEN BIM approach to organize collaboration with related specialists working with other software.

According to the author and chief administrative officer of the project, Nikolai Gordyushin, the decision was logical: “When work began, receiving drawings from subcontractors, we realized that they also work with BIM solutions. Then we decided to try “assembling” a full-fledged model using the open IFC format. For the architect, with whom everything begins and with whom everything ends, on whom, in fact, the entire project rests, OPEN BIM is the ability to quickly respond to changes in the project proposed by specialists from other fields, and for sub-designers - the opportunity to work in those programs , to which they are accustomed and which meet the requirements of the profession.”

As you know, the most difficult thing in work is starting it. So in the case of designing the Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, most of the time was spent on debugging the system of collaboration.

At the beginning of the work, the architects of TPO "Pride" created a BIM model of the future object in ARCHICAD, then the data of the basic model, filtered depending on the needs of subcontractors, was transferred to them in the open IFC format; and in the same format, the basic model, enriched with the developments of related companies, was returned back to the bureau for integration into the main model. The IFC protocol used saves not only the entire geometric description in 3D, but also its location and relationships, as well as all the properties, or parameters, of each object, thanks to which it can serve as a universal tool for storing and transferring information from different BIM design programs. At the stage of creating a basic model, which third-party specialists will then have to work with, it is important to correctly classify all objects and understand that the traditional model with which architects work may not be enough, the authors clarify.

On neutral territory

Engineering sections were developed using Revit design software with plugins that allow calculation of specifications. The architects of TPO "Pride" successfully coped with the functions of BIM managers, collecting all the information into a model and transmitting it further along the chain.

One of the main participants in the “assembly” process, the chief architect of the bureau, Vitaly Krestyanchik, positively assesses the capabilities of the OPEN BIM approach: “We received a lot of positive things from the experience gained. Despite the fact that the process of debugging data transfer took quite a long time, as a result we gained much more time due to the fact that thanks to the OPEN BIM approach we were able to instantly monitor inconsistencies in the project - the so-called collisions - and quickly make changes during work. Initially, it was necessary to understand what data was needed for each of the sections for the work of related companies - and this is perhaps one of the most lengthy processes.”

The 3D BIM model immediately proved the correctness of the decision - in the very first model with the included engineering part of the project, a collision check using utility networks revealed about 1,800 inconsistencies. Of course, traditional 2D drawings also involve finding errors, but this takes more time and it is not always possible to fully identify them. And, although the mistakes were insignificant: somewhere a wall was not moved or marks were not followed, in the future, multiplying in progression, they could lead to unforeseen consequences. When designing the Gymnastics Center, the search for errors occurred in a semi-automatic mode, being based on a careful review of the model to identify unnecessary intersections.

The new version of ARCHICAD 21, developed by GRAPHISOFT, improves the search and detection of collisions - it allows you to instantly search for inconsistencies between two groups of user-defined elements, signaling problems and indicating “sore” spots.

According to the architects of TPO "Pride", one of the main guarantees of successful design is early agreements between designers and architects on working conditions, the creation of regulations for collaboration, since linking complex BIM models takes time.

The convenience of open design can be assessed, in particular, in the following example: the designers of the Kazan Giproniiaviaprom company, who worked with different sections of the structure, monolithic reinforced concrete load-bearing structures were developed in Revit, and metal floor structures were developed in Tekla, interacting with each other - within one company - through BIM model created in ARCHICAD by the architects of TPO "Pride". As in the case of utility networks, the IFC format became the assembly point: with its help, exchange was carried out between software platforms and sections of the project.

Architectural flight

The most expressive element of a building, the roof, has also become one of the most difficult to
architectural design. According to the plan, the visual effect of the iridescent scales of the wave was to be formed by aluminum cassettes of decorative cladding, mounted on a rebated base.

Therefore, in addition to searching for the geometry of an expressive silhouette of a wave, commensurate with the volume of the building and its surroundings, it was necessary to find appropriate materials that would meet the objectives: they would bend at the desired angle and would be hermetically joined to each other, since the gutters run along the roof. And also a manufacturer who could fulfill them. Another parameter was repeatability, that is, the typification of various elements: trusses, cassettes, folds, since the variety of modules significantly affects the economics of the project.

To create a parametric model of the roof structure, allowing quick selection according to specified characteristics, the Rhinoceros/Grasshopper program was used. The newly developed dynamic connection with ARCHICAD through the Grasshopper-ARCHICAD Live Connection add-on made it possible to turn the resulting three-dimensional figures modeled in this program into full-fledged BIM elements for use in the environment familiar to the architect. Bidirectional data exchange between ARCHICAD and Rhino/Grasshopper made it possible to transfer complex building geometry into a format familiar to architects and perform complex calculations.

The Future of Information Modeling

During the design process, the use of BIM technologies made it possible to reduce work time and avoid costly alterations at the construction site; OPEN BIM helped to optimize the interaction between subcontractors and project management as a whole.

Even today, during construction, additional information is added to the BIM model, adjusting materials and elements associated with finishing work. The BIM model will be in demand even after all work is completed. For example, it can be provided to the building maintenance service, thus facilitating its work with communications.

According to the architects of TPO "Pride", the development of the OPEN BIM approach and the use of the IFC format should go in parallel with the introduction of a unified BIM design standard at the state level, which would allow regulating the exchange of information between various platforms and companies in the field of design, construction and operation of buildings - and prepare all participants for the introduction in 2019 of the use of BIM technologies as a prerequisite for government procurement objects.

They will tell you how to become a champion in the Moscow region. The first sports and educational cluster in Russia, the Olympic Village Novogorsk, was opened there. In one complex there are residential buildings, gyms, hotels, hospitals, shops - in general, everything that future winners and the best athletes of the country need. The main project was the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center - the legendary coach dreamed of it since childhood.

“I’ve been waiting for this holiday all my life,”- admits the legendary coach Irina Viner-Usmanova.

Today she has worldwide recognition, dozens of students who have become world and Olympic champions, and now her own gymnastics center - and it all began in a narrow corridor of a Tashkent school.

“When I was little, I trained in the school corridors, which were washed with kerosene,” she says. - And from childhood there was a dream that matured, matured, matured - and finally I turned 175 years old, and it came true! Because I gave this hall to small children!”

Wiener built the Olympic village in Novogorsk in an “open field” in five years. This, experts say, does not exist anywhere in the world. A whole sports and health cluster - comfortable housing, sports facilities, hotels, medical centers and shops. Everything you need to live, train and win is within walking distance.

The heart of the Olympic village "Novogorsk" was the "Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center". It is this sports and cultural facility that sets the rhythm for the entire new cluster. Today, more than five hundred children study here, open tournaments, training camps and master classes of Olympic champions are held.

Those whom she taught to win absolute victories not only in sports, but also in life came to congratulate their beloved coach. Barsukova, Gorbunova, Tatareva, Bliznyuk, Kudryavtseva, Mamun and, of course, Alina Kabaeva.

“What was built here is something unique! Great! And I’m glad that young children have such conditions for training. They really deserve it,- says Alina Kabaeva. - As Irina Aleksandrovna says: when we perform or train, go to space! That's what she does! Everything for children!"

Without mass sports and children's Olympic medals, there are no Olympic medals, Irina Viner never tires of repeating. Despite the fact that this center of rhythmic gymnastics is capable of hosting the most prestigious international competitions, they will not happen here. Wiener swears: this hall is only for children - from 3 to 9 years old.

As befits a housewarming party, the guests came with gifts. For example, Philip Kirkorov donated the best concert equipment for the opening and performed with his whole family. And from the children's rhythmic gymnastics festival "Alina" - the most exquisite numbers. The Averina sisters in the form of firebirds and "The Winter's Tale" performed by beginning gymnasts.

“Teams from Novosibirsk and Barnaul came here especially to perform at this event - they prepared it, remembered it again, rehearsed it,” Honored Trainer of Russia, choreographer Ekaterina Sirotina shares. - Like the team from St. Petersburg, they are also preparing a performance that was at Alina Kabaeva’s festival “Three White Horses” - we moved the entire winter theme here for this holiday.”

By the way, this is not the last “construction” of Irina Viner-Usmanova. In just a year and a half, on her initiative, the world's largest rhythmic gymnastics center will appear in Luzhniki.

“But you do, you build - I am grateful to you and wish that more than one generation of Olympic champions will grow up here,”- says Alina Kabaeva.

The building of the “Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center” is the main infrastructure facility of the modern residential complex “Olympic Village Novogorsk”, located in the microdistrict of the city of Khimki - Novogorsk, in the near Moscow region. The conceptual orientation of the family sports and educational cluster is evidenced not only by its name: the Olympic spirit is embodied here in many infrastructure facilities. In addition to the Gymnastics Center itself, which includes a rhythmic gymnastics school, the residential complex in Novogorsk includes various sports schools, the strategic goal of which is to train professional athletes for the Russian Olympic reserve.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Center

“Olympic Village Novogorsk” is a unique cluster that currently has no analogues in the world. The central link of the cluster, which is the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center, can easily be considered one of the best examples of modern architecture. The impressive building, with a height of 17 meters and an area exceeding 27,000 m², stands out among other infrastructure facilities surrounding it, not only in size, but primarily in its original architecture.

The gymnastics center is easily recognizable from afar by the graceful shape of the roof, reminiscent of the curves of a rhythmic gymnastics ribbon. This unusual design solution was chosen not only for aesthetic reasons: the elegant silhouette meets the functional requirements of the indoor spaces. It took about seven hundred tons of metal structures to install a roof with such a complex structure. High-quality modern finishing materials were used in the façade cladding: natural stone (including travertine limestone tuff), composite panels and others. The use of stained glass and a large amount of glass generally added lightness to the external appearance of the massive structure and at the same time provided the maximum amount of light to the interior spaces.

It is worth noting that the bright and cozy atmosphere in the rhythmic gymnastics center is not only due to glass panels. The main factor is the aura of human attention and love that mentors show to their students. The Gymnastics Center in Novogorsk is the brainchild of I. A. Viner-Usmanova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, head coach of the Russian national team in this sport. The school's coaching staff, which includes Olympic champions and masters of sports, also works under the direct supervision of Irina Aleksandrovna Viner-Usmanova.

The infrastructure of the Novogorsk cluster, built by the Khimki Group company, provides all the conditions for the full, comprehensive and harmonious development of children, and the pupils of the gymnastics center have an excellent opportunity to reveal their potential under the guidance of experienced “star” mentors. Novogorsk “Olympic Village” is the optimal place for rhythmic gymnastics training camps, which attract young athletes not only from Moscow and the Moscow region, but also other cities of Russia.

Irina Aleksandrovna Viner-Usmanova– head coach of the Russian national team, president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics and holder of the Order of the International Olympic Committee. During her coaching career, she trained more than one Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics. Among them: Alina Kabaeva, Evgenia Kanaeva, Yulia Barsukova, Irina Chashchina, Daria Dmitrieva, Yana Batyrshina and the recent winner of the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil -. Irina is a beautiful and legendary woman whom everyone knows and respects. Even those who have nothing to do with this sport.

Not only children, but also adults will be able to practice at the newly opened Gymnastics Center. Girls and boys. In the coming days of September, groups for gymnastics, stretching and choreography will be formed. To make it easier for you to decide on the choice of sports direction, mothers are invited to attend unique master classes, during which they can try different types of training and communicate with professional trainers and champions. And also find out all the advantages of the chosen directions.

At the end of August 2016, more than 100 people visited the Center to view the trainer. On August 30, a screening of the youngest children wishing to engage in rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 3 years was carried out.

The first free master classes at the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center in Novogorsk will be held on September 13 and 14, 2016 for everyone! World champions will conduct master classes!

On September 13, 2016 at 13:00, everyone is invited to attend the first free master class on rhythmic gymnastics and stretching for adults. On this day, the event will be hosted by Ksenia Dudkina, 2012 Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics in group all-around, champion of the Youth Olympic Games, and Daria Kondakova, international master of sports, four-time world champion.

The next day, September 14, 2016, a master class in ballet (classical choreography) for adults will be held. It will be conducted by choreographer, ballet dancer of the highest category and classical dance teacher, Ekaterina Ermakova.
