The creative association, consisting of 30 distinctive dancers-artists, has already managed to fall in love with the Ukrainian audience, including through joint work with Jamala in a video clip. Under the direction of the choreographer, the dancers staged the play "Megapolis", with which they are successfully touring Ukraine, Apache CREW were also named "The Best Team of the Country", "Discovery of the Year" according to the Myway Dance Awards in 2014 and are also the winners of the Championship "The Challenge" in 2015. In an interview with Style Insider, Apache CREW members recalled school discos, the most memorable performances and shared the emotions that everyone puts into their movements.

Maxim Kot

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Max: Once, from a disco in School No.31, we came to the front door to try the first "footwork" and "turtle". It was 2000, with us then there were beer hops and cellar cockroaches. Disco stunts inspired more than wrestling and horizontal bars. All sports hobbies were crammed in favor of the "lower break" (then it was called that). Further - the classic scheme: videotapes with recordings of world festivals, the first Kiev battles and off we go.

?

Max:"Cat". Or “so, let's start the rehearsal of the play all over again” (the first act in the play “Megapolis” begins with me).

Max: Many people call it "experimental dance". In general, with each of my workouts, it gets harder and harder to call it dancing. "Performance", "actionism", "bodily practice" - these concepts are more and more flattering to me.

Max: I don't know how to dance, in the usual concept for people. That is, I am just as oak in repeating the movements of others, like a novice forester, whose ear has been stepped on by a bear. In my quasi-reality, dance is a sensation and bodily reproduction of rhythm. And the rhythm is everywhere: from the beating of the heart to the ticking of the clock of melting time. That is, I practically don't dance the choreography of others. At performances or in breaking circles, depending on the purpose of the dance, I can do my own way out or freestyle with my used pieces. There is full bodily expression - this is a very powerful state that can open up. But this, at times, is not very aesthetically pleasing, not for photosets.

?

Max: I do not participate in all Apache productions, so I do not speak with the team very often. The most memorable performance: after the performance "Megapolis" in Odessa, pitch black as our raincoats, on the dismantled summer terrace of a deserted beach cafe, Cuban Xavi, a participant in the performance, played Cuban songs on our guitar to the sound of the restless sea. This performance from Apache CREW had no audience.

Max:Tolik... So I want to talk about his capriciousness, if not for one BUT: a man is led by a tremendous noble dream. And all his whims automatically turn into volitional efforts to achieve a dream. And everything works out. Those who worked closely with him will understand what I mean. Birdman- simplicity, depth, and beard. Galya- an excellent performer, "vikonavcha vlada" Apache CREW. Nastya- the most experienced artist among us, on stage, like a fish in water, thanks to her for the inspiration, her powerful energy. Anya- an introvert in a creative search. Masha- devoted her life to dancing, devoted herself to this craft, a fanatic with whom she dances; and somehow she got me into chess, with a score of 2: 1, don't you feel ashamed? Roma- charisma (this word is applicable only to guys), excessive ambition, which is quite harmonious with his accomplished deeds. Lisa- a talented person with a huge credit of self-confidence, a citizen of the world. Twitter- cool, he has the image of such a vulnerable gifted psycho; but hell, this is not an image, it is.

Max: Screenwriter.

Max: In my case, I want to say not about the dance. I want to try myself in directing, mountaineering, kiting, motorcycle stand-riding. And more, and more thoughtfulness, investing essence in every movement. And to judge twerk (laughs).

Max: Energy. Whoever says to you: "dance for yourself" - he is lying to you. Dancers are self-centered people. Beautiful, narcissistic - they take full attention, popularity and even idolism from dancing. I want to wish dancers more to give than receive. TV choreographers have less tragedy, more individuality. Otherwise, your sadness and versatility have erased individualism. That, for which many, in fact, come to dancing. For beginners: come up with and work out chips, and not look at the floor.

Max: For me, dancing is one of a million forms of realizing my ideas. Good form, many people listen to it. Dance is natural.

Max: Detours. Their 2000 video changed my attitude towards creativity in dance. My team and I saw it somewhere in 2005, if I'm not mistaken. They were way ahead of their time. I am also inspired by people, movements that are impossible to repeat because of the super complexity (there is a concept in the dance “2 hard 2 bite” - it's hard to steal). Breaking mushers, flexible or resourceful guys. I am happy that I managed to get to know many of them, world artists, personally.

Max: I would have starred in a movie about the military or in mysticism. I play with pleasure in any project of the Sachivko-tandem (creators of many videos from Apache CREW). I would write a script for the video "Brutto". Would have died in an old Soviet depot in a clip from "Vagonovozhaty". I would have had a fight on the set with Aphex Twin. Well, the ultimate dream is the music video of the Chemical Brothers collaboration. Have you seen the last video?

Liza Ryabinina

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Lisa: I got into dancing thanks to dance videos. She was very fond of them and often watched. I dreamed that one day I could dance the same way. A couple of years later, she enrolled in a dance studio.

SI: What is your name on the team?

Lisa: I don’t have a nickname, and I confess I’m very happy about that. I love it when people are called by name.

SI: How can you describe your style?

Lisa: I do not even know. I never thought about it. In my dances, I pay a lot of attention to isolation and consistency.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Lisa: Both that, and that. Definitely. I think that you need to be able to do both choreography and good freestyle. These two things are very deeply interconnected, and they cannot exist without each other.

SI: What a performance with Apache CREWyou remember the most?

Lisa: Apache CREW at Everybody Dance 6 as invited guests. It was my first performance with the team, and one of the most significant events in my dance career.

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Lisa: I madly respect each dancer, everyone has a lot to learn. I will not paint for a long time, but I think these people are united by one common feature - a sense of their own self. In the sense, a sense of their space, dance, their thoughts and understanding of their actions.

Lisa: I would gladly play some secondary role, but very memorable for the viewer. Some bright character with little airtime.

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Lisa: I would say top rock, krump and flying low technique. The styles are very different and almost unrelated to each other. But they are very interesting and informative.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Lisa: I think this is "the main thing for a dancer" is different for everyone. Someone makes a bias towards physical fitness, someone on technique, someone on character. In addition, this “main thing” manifests itself in different ways for everyone. It turns out that as such, the "main common" for all dancers simply does not exist.

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Lisa: This is not a hobby, but I also don’t want to throw loud words that this is my vocation. This is my creative activity. This is my self-expression. These are my thoughts.

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers?

Lisa: When I first started dancing, there were many idols. After a while, I realized that I shouldn't look up to anyone. There is a way, and it is much more interesting than the path of an idol or some famous dancer.

Lisa: I've always wanted to work with Justin Timberlake. His music has been close since childhood. In general, there are many performers with whom I would like to work. I hope it will. Let's see how things go.

Roman Chukhmanenko

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Novel: It all started with Khreshchatyk. And street dancing. It was those guys who inspired me, with their get-together, their enthusiasm and inner state, which was conveyed to the viewer in full measure. It was all in the year 2007. Soon I got to the championship for the pros and decided for sure that I would dance, seeing what human capabilities were revealed right before my eyes. Then I thought that being able to do something like that is like being some kind of superhero.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Novel: There are a couple of nicknames, depending on the situation and my behavior. "Gangster" and "moral fighter".

SI: How can you describe your style?

Novel: What I am doing can be described as follows: it is a synthesis of street styles, at the core of which is breaking. This is a kind of fusion, which includes the whole base of my body movement, from isolation to acrobatics, in different planes and levels.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Novel: My initial attitude to dance is, of course, its Freedom! You live in real time, anything can happen at any moment, and the "data of circumstances" provide a mail for expressing yourself. That is, I am more inclined towards freestyle, but the choreography is definitely an aspect that has not been revealed for me. When I get the opportunity to learn someone or to come up with my own form, this is an experience, especially since I am often surrounded by those dancers whose form I can adopt and feel is interesting.

SI: What a performance with Apache CREWyou remember the most?

Novel: I remember very much a couple of performances. This is our demo for the play "Megapolis", which we danced for the first time at the "Feel The Beat" festival, if I am not mistaken, a year ago! And the number, which we made in 2 days, took first place with it at the “The Challenge” festival, creating a kind of “party” on the stage, in which, as in each of our numbers, there are a lot of storylines! It was easy, fun, and a little crazy. Well, and of course, the first appearance on the stage with our performance at the Kiev Musical Theater. A lot of work and effort, sleepless nights, nerves ... Going out on stage with all this - the feelings were unforgettable!

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Novel: I don't want to talk about someone specific, but there is something. Both space and open souls, an endless supply of energy, strength, stubbornness, experience, air, fire. People gradually, as they communicate, reveal themselves, and each of the above qualities is present in each of us to some extent.

SI: If you were in a movie about dancing, what role would you be perfect for?

Novel: It so happened that quite recently I had a chance to act in a movie - the first Ukrainian full-length dance action, starring an antagonist. I really like the role, our characters are similar to the hero. But the stories and situations in life are different, which did not prevent me from playing the capital major, which, however, is cool not only thanks to parental money, but also succeeded a lot. My hero is not at all interested in other people's problems and troubles, thinking only about himself and his goals. By coincidence, he has a kind of enlightenment, a kind of repentance. The film will be released in 2016 under the title "Let’s dance".

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Novel: I do not stop at what has been achieved, just, having received the initial experience, I stopped learning "styles", but began to develop the capabilities of the body, which can lead me into the most unpredictable styles and substyles.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Novel: The main features of any creative person, as for me, are dedication, willpower, self-discipline, the ability to listen, the ability to express, be open to new things, be able to stand your ground, and, in the end, faith in what you do. If we talk about physical form, then for me the truth is in the phrase "In a healthy body - a healthy mind."

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Novel: For me, dancing is self-development. This is one of those things that opened my eyes to the world, one of the levers that takes me to a new level as a person. My activity is not limited to dancing, but it is definitely an integral part of my life! As breaking elders once said, "There are no ex-B-Boys."

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers?

Novel: There are people who inspire me - there are a lot of them. You don't even need to leave your own hall to stumble upon these very people. The habit of having an idol is contagious, you may not become the same or, having become, you will not know what to do next. You are your own idol, the main thing is to eat from different sources and look for yourself. The main thing is to appreciate the work of others, and not only take, but always create something for the next generation!

SI: Which musician are you close to? In which video would you like to star?

Novel: Musicians have the same story as dancers. There are a lot of them - genres, performances, styles, trends. Music is one of the main inspirations that can lead to any state. I really love music, various, from pop-punk to electronic, just beats or funk, some kind of futures or classics - it doesn't matter if the music is good. I would like to work with a lot. If we take the closest ones, then this is at least 5'nizza, Boombox,.

Anya Turchina

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Anya: It all started pretty lightly. My best friend “forcibly” enrolled me in the Miss Faculty competition, and a local choreographer prepared us for the competition. The next season, she and I decided to sign up for classes with him, but in the end we ended up in another school, in which we were taught "club" dances (my friend and I loved the night parties very much). A year later, club dancing turned into an underground direction, and soon the university faded into the background.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Anya: The team calls me by name. But lately, more and more often by last name. This happens in all micro societies where I appear.

Anya: I already mentioned that in the beginning I started to study hip-hop, house dance, krump and other underground styles. The latter influenced my presentation a lot, and hip-hop will always groove in my heart. Now I can’t define my dances to a specific style, and I don’t want to do it. I am looking for myself in different styles. Experimental, they say so. Now I am very impressed with vogue, I take a lot from there. Ideally, I want my dance to include such components as Style, Freedom, Thought, Presentation, Revelation, Professionalism, Performance. I try to go in this direction.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Anya: I like both options. Depends on the mood. More and more I want to move in a free style. But creating choreography is also very interesting!

SI: What a performance with?

Anya: It's a difficult question. In fact, there are performances (filming) that have left their imprint for a lifetime, I'm not afraid of this word, and I can talk about each of them for a long time. But the most prestigious is the performance at LKS ("The Best Team of the Country"), which brought us victory, the shooting of Jamala's clip "Lost" and the video (and the process of its creation) Apache Crew - Bad dancer.

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Anya: Unexpected, but nice. So it means: Roma- sharp, purposeful, speaker; Masha- dance machine, professional, lover of life; Max Cat- like a cat, by itself, but in a free connection with everyone, an inventor, a ranger; Lisa- American girl, responsible, works hard on herself, has an easy attitude to everything; Galya- disposes of people, professional, tactful, subtle humor; Nastya- artist, girl from another era, inspires, subtle perception of the world; Sasha- and again I repeat - a professional, responsive personality, a tough partner, whose image on stage bears an ambivalent character; Dima- a versatile dancer, my partner in the play, a favorite of the female audience; Tolik- a fast-growing entertainer, dreamer, a person who can change history, a mystery.

SI: If you were in a movie about dancing, what role would you be perfect for?

Anya: Probably, the image is mysterious, original. A mix of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction and Mila Jovovich in Element 5. In general, I really like the image and attitude to the dance of the Indian girl in “Dancer” by Luc Besson. But I also want to try completely opposite images - lyrical, comedic, for example.

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Anya: I like contemporary, vogue and dancehall. For now, at least.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Anya: Of course, impeccable physical shape gives you more opportunities in dance (here flexibility, strength, endurance, lightness, etc.), plus, this is a beautiful picture for the viewer. For a dancer, as for me, it is important to be an artist who carries non-verbal information to the one who contemplates. This is responsible. It is also important to constantly fill, nourish your content in order to be attractive, interesting. Search. Trying, even if it's strange, is inconvenient. Do not try to repeat someone else's success. Be yourself! Share. Get inspired!

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Anya: I have had periods when there was no opportunity to dance. Then I was an unhappy person. The opportunity to be on stage is an undeniable pleasure. It can be compared to a mother's hug.

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers?

Anya: There are, of course, quite a few of them. But there are those who greatly influenced the course of my dance events. These are, for example, Anatoly Sachivko, Vitalik Savchenko and Artemy Lazarev.

SI: Which musician are you close to? Which video would you like to star in?

Anya: Oh! A large number of musicians are close to me. But there are performers in whose video I would like to appear (starring, of course!) - this is a group, FKA Twigs, Zhanna Aguzarova, Pharrell Williams.

Alexander Ptashnik

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Oleksandr: Definitely I can’t say, if the drowning itself has appeared with this kind of mystery. Tse bulo in a school vіtsі, peering glances with choreographic decorations on muses. channels, he himself prischeplivav bazhannya dances. I took the deyaky material from the bastard, and the deyakiy having thought up it myself, I want to quickly name the choreography at once, but if I do it my way.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Oleksandr: The specific name, as it will be clearly attached to the command, is not for me. Yakos Anya Turchina nicknamed me Birdman, but it didn’t take root, it befits me. And in the krampersky stakes of the city of Kiev, I don't know the Twin Spitfire.

SI: How can you describe the style in which you dance?

Oleksandr: In Apache CREW, I represent the krump style, the culture is quite young, and the popularity is growing in Ukraine at this time. Vaughn, yak and all dance styles, I have a lot of history of development. It’s a good idea to say that with head rice in the style of krump є aggression. Ale tse is far from it. Head rice style є the manifestation of the spiritual strength of the people. In the new, the skin dancer knows the character, which is the best impression, and stretches out all the hour to touch the character, like luring him to the hero.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Oleksandr: So like I dance krump (and krump vikonutsya solo), I'm more skilful to freestyle. Freestyle zavdyakov can be told a lot. Ale and the ferry, I may love.

SI: What a performance with you remember the most?

Oleksandr: Zagali everything that we shot є of their own kind, often less. І investing his own smarts to the maximum in leather performance. Aleksei will see the first step in my head with the team at the festival "Feel the Beat", the version of "Megapolis", like evolving into the large-scale "phenomenon of the Ukrainian stage", is just like a crumpled version.

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Oleksandr: Masha Kozlova: zagali not bawling in a filthy mood, but її power up the charge, especially on the whistles. Such a bit lively. Anya Turchina: Zhannya Aguzarova in dance culture. I still like to read її vіrshi. The truth is, do not be hungry for the rosum, ale tse primushu my mind pratsyuvati. Liza Ryabinina: її її її її її, how to win the city, enjoy great successes, start a wicked work. Dima Twitter: a rich-faced blonde, without a vagan, not a role for yourself. How to deal with on vidminno. Roma Armo: creative nature, shіlno packed in a bottle with the name Bаd Boy. Win knows how to rob, and do not break down in a folding situation. Max Cat: because of that, as having learned with Max, and at the same time, I was calling from my side, marveling at breaking. Galya Pokha: streamliness, erudition, modesty, kindness - quality, which is not in words. Yakosti, which harmoniously adhere to the plastic, and wiggle in flustered dance forms. Nastya Kharchenko: Incoli is just a mystery, and Incoli is the whole cosmos, flaring the thin little humor into the head.

SI: If you were in a movie about dancing, what role would you be perfect for?

Oleksandr: Bulo b cool, yakbi fіlm buv about Apache CREW, and I’m gravitating myself.

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Oleksandr: For the time being, I will be pleased to consume it, I will. The first man of the whistle. All in one hour.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Oleksandr: I think that it is not necessary to overreach, for what reasons the volodya professional is guilty, we all know. Smut - get rid of people.

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Oleksandr: I’ll name the tse poklikannyam poklikannyam.

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers, if so, who?

Oleksandr: The master of the krump style - Tight Eyez. Lyudin, a yak at 16 rocky, shot new, and at the same time became a legend. Yaka didn’t play the zhodny zmagannya, gradually reminds us of the new style, both the call and all the middle.

SI: Which musician are you close to? In which video would you like / would you like to act?

Oleksandr: I'm interested, I'm a music lover, I won't get attached to one. I hear yak vіtchiznyana, so і foreign music. And I want to eat 5'nizza.

Galya Peha

SI: How did you get into dancing, when and who inspired it?

Galya: In childhood, when my mother appeared somewhere with me, she was often offered to send her “child to sports”. Already at that time, an athletic physique was traced in me, my parents had only to choose which section I was assigned to. Once, quite by accident, I was at an open lesson in ballroom dancing! Seeing beautiful girls in luxurious dresses with rhinestones and shiny stones ... How could I resist? I fell ill with this for the next 15 years. Now I do not regret a bit that there was such a rich and, at times, very difficult period in my life. I have gained invaluable experience.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Galya: Fortunately or unfortunately, I don't have a nickname on the team.

SI: How can you describe the style in which you dance?

Galya: For me, style is not limited to dance trends. This is something more, so to speak, self-expression! In my mind, style is about finding the perfect shape for my body. Having some experience in the dance field, I am still in search, which is why I dance. When I find it, development will end.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Galya: Most of my dancing career I've been doing choreography. Only after joining the Apache CREW team did a new stage, the stage of creativity, begin. Having got the opportunity to see how representatives of other dance directions are working on themselves, it was as if my hands were free, I found a new instrument of inspiration, and it consists in improvisation and synthesis of various dance directions. Thanks to this source, I learned a lot about myself. I only regret that this did not happen to me before.

SI: What a performance withApache CREW is your favorite?

Galya: For me, there is nothing more valuable than the opportunity to be on stage, so the premiere of the play "Megapolis" on the stage of KMATOB became an unforgettable event for me. Until now, mentally returning to the preparation period, as well as remembering my heartbeat during the performance itself, I am filled with energy and strength to move on, prepare myself for the opportunity to “live” one more separate life on this stage.

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Galya: Dima- a gifted dancer, whose plasticity and facial expressions cannot leave the viewer indifferent. What other qualities should a real artist have? I draw inspiration from his breaking, he is a kind of "teacher" for me. Nastya- the source of my inexhaustible inspiration. In her eyes I see the whole world, I see it in her dance. In addition, we are fellow countrymen and we are united by love for our native Black Sea. So Nastya for me is like the sea - deep and breathing freedom. Masha- if I was asked to describe Masha in one word, I would say - "energy"! She never stands still, she is always on the way to her goals. With Masha, we went through many difficulties, and I can say that I am a witness to her constant, round-the-clock work on herself. I learn from her every day. Max- a unique artist whose dance has a hypnotic effect on me. I am fascinated by the way he uses the capabilities of his body and mind. Sasha- a dancer who very skillfully combines completely polar styles. Having a huge dance experience behind his back, he managed to preserve his original and masculine plasticity, which made his style recognizable. I love watching him dance and admire the strength that his body breathes. Lisa- a person who speaks little and does a lot! She is, in an amicable way, obsessed with dance and works on her style 24/7. Hard work gives results, she is known all over the world, and I, in turn, am proud to be on the same team with her. Roma- a dancer with incredibly strong energy. His dance catches the eyes of the audience. Each of his "exit" - a separate performance, in which Roma strictly adheres to his style and image. The energy and enthusiasm with which he approaches the business cannot leave anyone indifferent. Anya Is a unique person in every sense. She breathes creativity, the personification is her dance and her poetry. Her life is an eternal search, there is a certain meaning behind her every movement. This attracts the interest of the viewer, because it is always interesting to guess someone, especially if it is a real artist on stage.

SI: If you were in a movie about dancing, what role would you be perfect for?

Galya: I am very interested in acting in films. To be honest, I don’t need it to be a dance movie. I would like to reward my heroine with qualities that I do not possess in life. Play your antagonist. I would really like to immerse myself in real, serious work on the role.

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Galya: The main thing for a dancer is to work with his head, as in any other creative profession. Teaching your body to move, to “speak” and to evoke a response from the viewer are not the same thing.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Galya: I don't know what is most important for a dancer in principle, but for me the main thing is constant concentration on what I am doing. Working on myself and developing, I am most afraid of losing something that is inherent only to me.

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Galya: Dance is one of the forms of expressing oneself in art, and nothing else.

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers?

Galya: I have no idols at all. There are “people-examples” and they surround me, set the rhythm that I follow, but only on their own path.

SI: Which musician are you close to? Which video would you like to star in?

Galya: Good quality music always makes me want to dance to it. Fortunately, Ukraine is now experiencing a heyday of the music scene and I want to interact with young “ours” in any way.

Dmitry Schebet

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Dmitriy: Very simple. I came and enrolled in the circle immediately after returning from the camp, where I happened to see a couple of B-Boys. I started on September 1, 2005, and three days later I realized my vocation in this difficult task.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Dmitriy: If we are talking about a nickname, then it is not. They call me by my last name.

SI: How can you describe the style in which you dance?

Dmitriy: I am a b-boy, according to the description I can add something anti-gravity, but I will not.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Dmitriy: In the prepared choreography, as for me, there is no less freestyle than in itself. So is freestyle, there is no essence in it, if there is no preparation. But I'm a freestyler.

SI: What a performance with Apache CREW you remember the most?

Dmitriy: I remember more than the rest of the preparation for the battle for the LKS. We won, and this is my first time with the team.

SI: Can you describe each team member in three words?

Dmitriy: Roma- character, energy, music. Maksim- cat, tram, satellite. Sasha Ptashnik- mova, brotherhood, courage. Nastya- theater, sea, light. Anya- mood, talent, truthfulness. Galya- spirit, art, intellectual.

SI: If you were in a movie about dancing, what role would you be perfect for?

Dmitriy: I would like to fall in love with the role. Maybe I will be lucky with such a role someday. And the ideal role, at least for now, were negative roles.

SI: What other dance styles would you like to master?

Dmitriy: I would like not to learn some styles, but simply to master everything that I already have, and to cope with it with dignity. Find all knowledge the best application and action. And the style will come in due time, if necessary.

SI: What do you think is the most important for a dancer?

Dmitriy: The main thing for a dancer is not to stop being a dancer, for a moment or a period. Rest and let go of thoughts, be able to reboot, have outlets and time alone. Then both physics and psyche, I think, will be folded as needed for a good dancer. Well, the main thing is work.

SI: Is dancing for you a vocation or a hobby?

Dmitriy: Vocation.

SI: Do you have an idol among dancers?

Dmitriy: Many cool people inspire me, but there are no idols among them.

SI: Which musician are you close to? In which video would you like to star?

Dmitriy: I didn't think about the video, but I think Bonobo is close. He has been with me for a long time.

Anastasia Kharchenko

SI: How did you get into dancing?

Anastasia: As a child, my relatives sent me to a choreographic school in Odessa, and it all started there. Inspiration / inspirers appear, disappear, then reappear and again disappear, this process is constant, I cannot single out one thing.

SI: What is your name in the team?

Anastasia: The team calls me by name. I have no nickname.

SI: How can you describe the style in which you dance?

Anastasia: If I were a writer, I would put it in words. I can't describe my style. These are feelings, emotions that move me, which take on some form of their own, a character is born, a semantic background, a dance is born. I'm not very good at talking about it, so I dance.

SI: Do you prefer to dance with prepared choreography or freestyle?

Anastasia: Performing choreographed choreography and mastering freestyle are as different things as they are equally interesting. When I joined the team, I got acquainted with freestyle, and gradually began to discover this concept for myself. This is freedom in all its forms, which is great to admire. But it is also interesting to work with the choreography, with the author's handwriting. When frames are present, one can travel in them too. As for myself, more often I work with prepared choreography.

SI: What a performance withApache CREW is your favorite?

Recently, it has become more and more difficult to keep the viewer for as long as 3-4 minutes, which the clip lasts. Many people try to achieve this through dance.
Today one of the most emotional Ukrainian bands Bahroma presented a video featuring Apache Crew. On this occasion, we recall a couple more music videos with the dancers of this team.

Bahroma - "Deep"

Anna Kopylova (director)

“The hardest part was waiting for the rain to end, which suddenly started on the day of shooting. But then we decided that it was even cooler with the rain, and then everything was easy. "

Roman Bakharev (group leader)

“I immediately liked the script proposed by Anya. In addition, as a fan of minimalism, I won over that the video is black and white. The video turned out to be beautiful and strong. "

Jamala - "Lost"

“I heard this song in a new way at Jamala's concert and saw that we can give it a full visualization. I am very pleased with the process of working on the video, and the result should be appreciated by people. "

Jamala

“This dance performance, in my opinion, illustrates the animal part of human nature. You know when people are looking for their "smell". In particular, I'm talking about the moment when the main character wants to find her only one in a crowd of people. And she tries to understand who he is through smell, through touch. This is similar to what blind people have told me. "

K.A.T.Y.A. - "New file"

Katya Rogovaya

“I saw one of the Apache Crew productions on YouTube and decided to turn to Tolik with the idea of a dance video. He liked the track and soon we started rehearsals. The clip was filmed in three frames and it was very interesting to cook in this whole process, when some of the dancers run behind the operator's back in order to later appear in the frame in a new scene.

There is a moment when I am thrown out of the frame. In one of the test takes I landed badly and, unfortunately, my knee let me down. From time to time I felt that my leg was giving way, not obeying. Later I found out that I had been dancing with a torn ligament for the whole shooting day.

All dancers are very colorful. I watch this video regularly to see what each one is doing. It's a mix of dance styles, it's a special mood, and it's all a bit weird. How I love".

Anatoly Sachivko (choreographer, director)

“Katya is cool, very hardworking, she was at all the rehearsals. She wanted to take part in everything, it's very nice. She confided in me, for that she is very grateful. "

The Apache Crew, the most fashionable dance crew in the country, has gone from being on a TV show to creating a theater.

“Feel your partner! Where is the passion? Where is the sex? " This is how Anatoly Sachivko, choreographer and founder of Apache Crew, "educates" his wards. Music is thundering in the Dside dance studio on Lybidskaya: today thirty people are rehearsing here - most of the Apache Crew. It's hot in the hall, sportswear, sneakers, gymnastics mats are everywhere. The guys are preparing a number for Eurovision: to the music written especially for them, they put on a mini-performance about street youth in order to show everyone how they dance on the streets of Kiev. The tall blue-eyed Anatoly demands passion from the dancers - there is no way without it on the streets. Passion is more than enough in the next scene, when the guys are rehearsing a street fight: the guys are screaming wildly around the hall, the girls are dancing in front of them. I urgently want to start dancing nearby.

“My like-minded people should not be like me. It's boring when everyone dances the same way. "

Apache Crew is known all over the country: they are the stars of music videos of Jamala, Monatik, Bahroma group and other artists. Friendship of Sachivko with Jamala began back in 2015 on the set of the video "Lost", and last year Jamala entrusted him with the shooting of the video for the song "1944", which brought her victory at Eurovision. They went to the Carpathians, to the abandoned Pamir radar station high in the mountains, on the border with Romania, and filmed a video there about a tribe in which a misfortune happened. They filmed in June, and from +30 ° C the temperature suddenly dropped to +9: a downpour began, the roads blurred - Jamala says that these were the hardest shooting in her life. But the Apache Crew dancers were not at a loss: hungry and cold, in wet clothes, for three days they danced in the rain as if nothing had happened. “It's a pity, we didn't have any rehearsals,” Anatoly recalls. - I saw Jamala already in the frame, but there is enough energy in her, so the shooting went off with a bang.

There are fifty people in the Apache Crew troupe, each with its own story: Dmitry Schebet, the winner of the Russian show "Dancing with the Stars", moved to Kiev from Kazakhstan specifically for the Apache Crew, and Maria Kozlova from Samara combines teamwork with master classes and tours on throughout the CIS. Everyone works in different styles: Twitter, for example, dances only break-dance, Kozlova - waacking. “When choosing a team, I knew for sure: my like-minded people should not be like me. It's boring when everyone dances the same way, ”Sachivko explains.

1 / 4

Anatoly is sure: a great dancer is a free dancer. From the age of four he was engaged in folk dancing, and then, as often happens when you are 14, there was an "inner rebellion" - and he went into modern dance. In the Kiev dance studio Myway, he tried dozens of genres - "in order to be liberated and become more flexible." At the age of 19, I got to the show "Dance All" on the STB channel, where he danced enchantingly everything - from jazz and rock and roll to waltz and rumba. He became a finalist, received several offers from the producers of STB - but refused all of them, because “I don’t like to adapt to the audience”. Collected the best dancers and in 2014 founded the Apache Crew - a dance team that instantly became the most fashionable in the country. The guys star in advertising campaigns for Ukrainian brands (last year, for example, they participated in a promo video for Syndicate Original, and a month ago - in the Litkovskaya campaign), go on tour with musicians, and put on choreography for Ukrainian artists. But this, Anatoly is sure, is not the limit. "I want something more difficult than learning choreography and repeating it for a month on tour."

"A great dancer is a free dancer"

Therefore, today Apache Crew has two tasks: to open its own theater and to develop performative art in Ukraine. This year, Anatoly Sachivko and Apache Crew staged two performances - Megapolis and This Is Jazz Jam - and rode with them all over Ukraine. But the performances need a base, and now the main thing is to find a room for the theater, where Apache Crew will begin to rehearse a new performance, the premiere of which is promised to be shown this year.
