I really want Gitana to have time to find her daughter's guardian. Health to her and Masha. Scary, but she will have to do it. Because one daughter cannot do it without help.

You know, I am now thinking about creating some kind of community-settlements, which would agree with each other about the custody of their special children. In order not to leave them without help, not counting only on the state. This should be done with priests and those who themselves got into this situation.

Batalov's directorial debut took place in 1960, when he shot the film "The Overcoat". In 1966, he became the author of the film Three Fat Men, in which he starred as one of the central characters. In 1972, Alexei Batalov's third work was released - the film "The Gambler", based on the story of the same name. More Alexei Batalov did not shoot films. This is partly due to the change of place of residence, the actor left Leningrad and settled in Moscow. Batalov believed that with this move he lost reliable people, a real team of professionals who were irreplaceable assistants. And in the capital, such a team was not possible.

Alexei Batalov became interested in radio shows, which became a real outlet at a time when cinema was going through hard times. Besides, the artist always wanted to try himself in the art of reading. He staged "Cossacks", "A Hero of Our Time", "Romeo and Juliet", "White Nights". More than one generation has listened to these performances, enjoying the excellent technique of performance and the character of the characters.

Personal life

For the first time, Alexei Batalov fell in love with a sixteen-year-old guy. His chosen one was named Irina Rotova, she was the same age as him. After 2 years they got married, and in 1955 their daughter Nadezhda was born.

Due to his employment, Batalov spends less and less time at home, completely devoting himself to the profession. Gradually, the relationship of the spouses cooled. At this time, he meets the circus girl Gitana Leontenko, with whom he starred in the film "Big Family". In 1958, he files for divorce from Irina, and formalizes his marriage with Gitana.

The artist's personal life gradually improved. In 1968, their daughter Maria was born, and it was here that the spouses began to overcome difficulties. Due to a medical error, the girl was born with cerebral palsy, and her parents made a lot of effort to adapt her socially. Maria managed to graduate from the screenwriting faculty of VGIK, began writing scripts, published one book and was even accepted into the Writers' Union.

Country conflict

Alexey Batalov is not a scandalous person, but he also had to face litigation in his life. The reason for this was his own dacha, located near the writers' village Peredelkino. Batalov had been the owner of a summer cottage plot in the Michurinets cooperative for many years, he even managed to master the construction of a small house, but one day he learns that several hundredths of his plot belong to a neighbor - jeweler Vadim Elgart. This enterprising man managed to draw up the title deeds, taking part of the land belonging to Batalov.

Elgart hurried up and built a bathhouse in this place, and Batalov unknowingly signed a document for him, which, as it later turned out, turned out to be an act to delimit the boundaries of the plots. Most likely, Batalov did not even understand what he was signing, and the clever neighbor could say that it was just an autograph.

According to the documents, Batalov's dacha belongs to his daughter Maria, since the artist has issued all the required documents for her a long time ago. It turns out that when he put his signature, he was not the owner of the dacha, and the document can be considered invalid, but the proceedings continued for more than one year. Batalov even wrote an appeal to the mayor of the capital, with a request to understand this process.

An obstacle in the way of justice was the fact that the jeweler is not the owner of the dacha either; he gave it to his daughter, who lives in the United States. Naturally, she cannot attend the meeting in Russia, and the process lasts for years.

Numerous fans of the artist followed all the twists and turns of this conflict, and did not lose hope that it would be resolved in favor of Batalov. The incident reached the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, but there was no noticeable progress in the case. As a result, Alexei Batalov is fighting alone, and even all-Union fame did not help him achieve a result. The decision on the alienation issue was never made.

Cause of death

In 2016, Alexei Batalov turned 88 years old. He was often tormented by headaches, the artist suffered from constant dizziness. In January 2017, the disease again made itself felt, Batalov fell and received a fracture of the femoral neck on his right leg. He was hospitalized, had an operation, and a month later another, reconstructive operation was performed. The state of health gradually improved, the wound began to heal, but the doctors did not give permission to be discharged home.

Batalov never left the hospital until his death, which happened on June 15, 2017. The day before, a priest was called to Alexei Batalov, who gave him communion before his death.

Relatives, friends, and just numerous fans were able to say goodbye to the great actor on June 19. The resting place of Alexei Batalov was the Preobrazhenskoe cemetery.
