The next day, at dawn, the brothers went into the field. They came before everyone else. People go to work - they greet them first, wish them a good day, good work. The brothers did not unbend their backs all day, and in the evening a cake with tea seemed to them sweeter than honey. Then they fell asleep on the floor and slept like on down jackets.

So they worked every day, and in the fall they reaped a good harvest and again healed in abundance, the respect of their neighbors returned to them.

They often recalled the wise advice of their father.

The tailor, the bear and the imp

In ancient times, a tailor lived in the same city. The customer will come to him, bring two yards of cloth and say:

Hey tailor! Sew me a good beshmet.

The tailor will look: there is not enough cloth for beshmet. And yet he will not refuse, he will begin to ponder: he will estimate this way and that - and he will sew. And the customer will not only not thank him, but will say:

Look, you probably hid the remains of my cloth for yourself?

It was a shame to the tailor. He was tired of vain reproaches and conversations. He got ready and left the city.

“Let,” he thinks, “look for another such tailor! ..”

He walks along the road, and a skinny little imp hobbles towards him.

Hello, venerable tailor! - says the imp. - Where are you going?

Yes, I go wherever they look. I'm tired of living in the city: I sew well, honestly, but everyone scolds and reproaches me!

Imp says:

Oh, a tailor, and my life is the same! .. Look how skinny and weak I am, and where everything happens to me, everything is brought down on me, I am accused of everything. I can't live like this! Take me with you, it will be more fun for us together.

Okay, says the tailor, let's go!

They went together. They come across a bear.

Where are you, - asks, - going?

The tailor and the imp told the bear that they were getting away from their offenders. The bear listened and said:

That's the way it is with me. In a neighboring village, a wolf will pick up a cow or a lamb, and the blame will fall on me, on the bear. I don’t want to be guilty without guilt, I’ll leave here! Take me with you too!

Well, says the tailor, let's go together!

They walked, walked and came to the edge of the forest. The tailor looked around and said:

Let's build a hut!

Everyone got to work and soon built a hut.

Once the tailor with the imp went far away for firewood, and left the bear at home. How much, how little time has passed - he wandered to the hut of divas (an evil monster) and asks the bear:

What are you doing here?

The bear says:

I look after our economy!

He pushed the bear divas away from the door, climbed into the hut, ate and drank everything, scattered everything, broke everything, twisted it. The bear wanted to chase him, but he could not cope with him: the diva beat him half to death and left.

The bear lay on the floor, lies, groans.

The tailor returned with the imp. The tailor saw that everything was scattered, broken, and asks the bear:

Has anything happened without us?

And the bear is ashamed to say how he beat and beat his div, and he replies:

Nothing happened without you ...

The tailor did not ask any more questions.

The next day he took the bear with him and went with him to fetch firewood, and the imp was left to guard the hut.

The imp sits on the porch, guards the hut.

Suddenly there was a rustle, crackled in the forest, a shower came out - and straight to the hut. I saw a little imp and asked:

Why are you sitting here?

I guard our hut!

The divas did not ask any more - he grabbed the imp by the tail, swung it and threw it aside. He climbed into the hut, ate everything, drank, scattered, almost broke the hut and left.

The imp crawled into the hut on all fours, lay down in a corner, squeaking.

The tailor and the bear returned in the evening. The tailor looks - the imp is crumpled all over, barely alive, all around is a mess. He asks:

Has anything happened here without us?

No, - the imp squeaks, - nothing happened ...

The tailor sees something is wrong. I decided to check what was going on here without him. On the third day, he says to the imp and the bear:

Go get some wood today, and I'll keep our hut myself!

The bear and the imp are gone. And the tailor made himself a pipe out of linden bark, sits on the porch, plays songs.

He left the forest of divas, went to the hut and asked the tailor:

What are you doing here?

I play songs, - the tailor answers, and he thinks: "So that's who comes to our hut!"

Div says:

I want to play too! Do me the same pipe!

I would have made you a pipe, but I have no linden bark.

And where can I get it?

Follow me!

The tailor took an ax and led the diva into the forest. He chose a linden tree, which is thicker, cut it lengthwise and says to the diva:

Hold on tight!

As soon as he thrust the div's paws into the gap, the tailor pulled out his ax - paws and pinched them tightly.

Well, - says the tailor, - answer: didn't you come to our hut, eat and drink everything, break and spoil everything, and even beat my bear and imp?

Div says:

No, not me!

Oh, you’re also lying!

The tailor began to beat the diva with a cane. The divas began to beg him:

Don't hit me, tailor! Let go free!

A bear and an imp came running up to the cry. They saw that the tailor diva was hitting, and they themselves went there. The divas shouted here, not in his own voice:

Have mercy, let me go! Never again will I come close to your hut!

Then the tailor drove a wedge into the linden - diva and pulled his paws out of the gap, and ran into the forest, only he was seen!

The bear, the imp and the tailor returned to the hut.

Here are the imp and the bear, let's show off to the tailor:

It was us divas who were scared! It was he who ran away from us into the forest! You couldn't handle him alone!

The tailor did not argue with them. He bided his time, looked out the window and said:

Wow! He goes to our hut of divas, but not one goes - he leads a hundred more divas with him!

The imp and the bear were so scared that they immediately jumped out of the hut and ran away to no one knows where.

The tailor was left alone in the hut.

They found out in the neighboring villages that a good tailor had settled in these parts, they began to go to him with orders. The tailor does not refuse to anyone: he sews for everyone - both old and small. He never sits without work.

Three sisters

Once upon a time there was a woman. She worked day and night to feed and clothe her three daughters. And three daughters grew up, fast, like swallows, with their faces like the bright moon. One by one they got married and left.

Several years have passed. An old woman's mother fell seriously ill, and she sends a red squirrel to her daughters.

Tell them, my friend, to hurry to me.

Oh, - the elder sighed, having heard the sad news from the squirrel. - Ouch! I'd love to go, but I need to clean these two basins.

Clean two basins? - the squirrel was angry. - So be you inseparable with them forever!

And the pots suddenly jumped up from the table and grabbed the eldest daughter from above and below. She fell to the floor and crawled out of the house like a big turtle.

A squirrel knocked on the second daughter.

Oh, - she answered. - I would now run to my mother, but I’m very busy: I need to knit canvas for the fair.

Well, weave now all my life, never stopping! - said the squirrel. And the second daughter turned into a spider.

And the younger was kneading the dough when the squirrel knocked on her. The daughter did not say a word, did not even wipe her hands, ran to her mother.

Always bring joy to people, my dear child, ”the squirrel told her,“ and people will cherish and love you, and your children, and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Indeed, the third daughter lived for many years, and everyone loved her. And when the time came for her to die, she turned into a golden bee.

All summer day after day, the bee collects honey for people ... And in winter, when everything around is dying from the cold, the bee sleeps in a warm hive, and wakes up - it eats only honey and sugar.

Here we are reading fairy tales. Amazing adventures, instructive stories, and funny incidents take place in them. Together with the heroes of fairy tales, we are mentally transported to the fairytale world where these heroes live. The wonderful world of fairy tales, created by the rich imagination of our ancestors, helps us to experience a lot of human joy, the happiness of victory, to feel the grief of loss, helps to recognize the great power of friendship and love between people, to admire the mind and intelligence of a person.
And the people who once created these tales lived on the same land on which we live. But that was a very, very long time ago. Then people mined everything with their own hands, and therefore they knew very well what a person could do and what remained a dream.
For example, everyone knows very well that no matter how hard a person tries, he cannot see infinitely far. In those ancient times, people fed themselves by hunting, and with a bow and arrow, a person could not reach an animal or game at a great distance. And he began to think about how to make the distant close. And in a fairy tale he created such a hero who with his arrow can shoot the left eye of a fly sixty miles away (the fairy tale "Kamyr Batyr").
Life was very difficult for our distant ancestors. Around there was a lot of incomprehensible and terrible things. Terrible disasters fell on their heads every now and then: forest fires, floods, earthquakes, animal pestilence, some kind of merciless disease that claimed many human lives. How I wanted to solve all this and win! After all, the life of the family and clan, even the existence of an entire tribe and nationality, depended on this.
And man tried to find in nature such drugs, medicinal herbs and other medicines that cure diseases and save even from death itself. In addition to what he found himself, what he could do himself, he invented to help himself such fabulous creatures as genies, divas, azhdaha, shurale, gifrites, etc. With their help, a man in fairy tales conquers the mighty forces of nature , curbs the formidable manifestations of an element incomprehensible to him, heals any disease. So, in fairy tales, a sick or weak person, diving into a cauldron of boiling milk, comes out from there as a healthy, handsome, young horseman.
It is curious that this resembles the current healing baths in the resorts of our country, where various diseases are treated.
But these supernatural beings lived only in the imagination of a person, and when in fairy tales it is about sorcerers, genies or divas, then one feels a sly grin. The person teases them slightly, taunts them and makes them a little dumb or silly.
The Tatar people, who created these wonderful tales, were in great poverty before the Great October Revolution. Wherever the Tatars lived: in the former Kazan province or somewhere in the Orenburg or Astry-Khan steppes, in Siberia or across the Vyatka River, they had little land everywhere. No matter how hard they tried, the working people lived very poorly, they were starving and malnourished. In search of bread and a better life, the Tatars left to wander to distant lands. This is reflected in folk tales. Every now and then we read that "the horseman went to wander to distant countries ..." the father, willy-nilly, had to send his son from an early age to work ... "and so on.
Although life was very difficult and there was little joy in life, like among neighboring peoples, the people thought not only about a piece of bread. Talented people from the people, who created amazingly accurate expressions, intelligent proverbs, sayings, riddles, fairy tales, who composed wonderful songs and bytes, thought deeply about the future, dreamed.
The secret of creating these wonderful creations of the people is we. maybe we'll never fully figure it out. But one thing is clear: they were created by very talented people, with a deep knowledge of the life of the people, wise with great experience.
The harmony of the plot of fairy tales, their fascination, witty thoughts, expressed in them, never cease to delight not only children, but also adults. Such unforgettable folk images as Kamyr-batyr, Shumbai, Solomtorkhan, Tan-batyr and others have lived in the memory of the people for centuries.
Another thing is quite clear: fairy tales were told not for fun. Not at all! All sorts of fascinating, often incredible adventures, interesting adventures, funny stories of dzhigits were necessary for the storytellers in order to convey to people something good, clever and that precious life experience, without which it is difficult to live in the world. In fairy tales, this is not directly said. But without importunity and preaching, the reader understands what is good, what is bad, what is good and what is evil. The creators of fairy tales endowed their favorite heroes with the best traits of a folk character: they are honest, hardworking, brave, sociable and friendly towards other peoples.
In ancient times, when there was still no trace of printed books, and handwritten books were a great rarity and it was extremely difficult for ordinary people to get them, fairy tales served people instead of today's fiction. Like literature, they educated
They instilled in people respect for kindness and justice, instilled in them a love of work, hostility to lazy people, liars and parasites, especially to those who sought to get rich at the expense of other people's labor.
Although the people lived in constant need, they did not lose heart and looked to their future with hope. No matter how the khans, kings and their servants - all sorts of officials and bai oppressed him, he did not lose hope for a better life. People have always believed that if not for themselves, then at least for their descendants, the sun of joy will certainly shine. The people, with a kind smile, sometimes half-jokingly, half-seriously, but always talentedly and sincerely, told these their thoughts and dreams of a good life in their countless fairy tales.
But happiness never comes by itself. You have to fight for it. And now the brave sons of the people - the batyrs boldly burst into the underground palaces of the divas, eagles soar into the sky-high heights, climb into the jungle of dense forests and rush into battle with terrible monsters. They save people from death, free them from eternal captivity, punish the villains, get people freedom and happiness.
Much of what the people dreamed of in fairy tales in ancient times is now coming true. Everything that happens on the land of Soviet Tataria over the past half century is also in many ways like a fairy tale. The land that had seemed barren before was transformed, which could not even feed its sons. She is now giving bountiful harvests. And most importantly, people have changed. The great-great-grandchildren of those who, with hope for the future, formed wonderful fairy tales, began to treat the same land in a completely different way. Armed with smart machines and devices that really see through the earth, they, together with the sons of other fraternal peoples, have opened pantries with priceless treasures in the ground and underground. It turned out that in one of its pantries, nature hid oil reserves, which they called "black gold". And now - isn't it a fairy tale ?! By the will of modern wizards, this oil seems to be thrown out of the ground by itself and directly goes into the "silver" vats. And then through mountains and forests, through rivers and steppes, an endless black river flows to Siberia, and beyond the Volga, and to the very center of Europe - to friendly socialist countries. And this is not a simple river. It is an endless stream of light, heat and energy. The most fabulous thing is that this priceless stream is also sent by the former poor Tatar village of Minnibaevo, in which before there was not even a ker, an aspen, where people in the evenings in their huts burned a torch for lighting.
And what is even more surprising, it took tsarist Russia about 90 years to get the first billion tons of oil. And the second billion tons of oil in our country, Soviet Tatarstan produced one in some quarter of a century! Doesn't this look like a fairy tale!
Another page of the amazing. Fairy tales often say how, from scratch, in a short time, gifrits-wizards build a city with gold and silver palaces. Just as fabulously fast is now growing a city and a truck factory on Kama. But this one
the city is not made by genies or other supernatural beings, but by our contemporaries, the most savvy horsemen - skilled masters of their craft, clever wizard scientists who have gathered from all over our vast Motherland. And soon the day will come when the hero-car will come out of the factory gates. If such a machine could appear in ancient times, it alone would replace a whole herd of a thousand horses! And a jamb of cars produced by KamAZ in just one day would have dragged all the carts, war chariots, phaetons with all the belongings and all the wealth of the whole ancient state! And such vehicles KamAZ will produce as much as one hundred and fifty thousand in a year!
This is how fairy tales come true. E! Edar, the storytellers admired the batyrs from the people. They did not deceive themselves, they believed in the invincible strength of the people. The history of the centuries-old struggle of the Tatar people for freedom and equality, for the power of the Soviets after the Great October Revolution has confirmed this. And in the great battles against the fascist barbarians, the Tatar people bravely fought side by side with other fraternal peoples of our country and gave the Land of Soviets more than two hundred Heroes of the Soviet Union. And who does not know the immortal feat of the Soviet batyr, the communist poet Musa Jalil!
Fairy tales also say that the people who created them are very talented and poetically gifted. It has its own ancient centuries-old culture, rich language and good traditions.
Tatar folk tales were published many times in their native language in Kazan, and also in Russian many times.
The folk tales of the Tatars were collected and studied by many writers and scientists. These were the Russians M. Vasiliev and V. Radlov, the Hungarian Balint, the Tatar scientists G. Yakhin, A.
