Where are the people? It's so lonely in the desert ...
“It’s also lonely among people.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery, "The Little Prince"

Sometimes it seems to me that I am out of place. At the wrong time, with the wrong people ... I am not interested in modern topics, new jokes and standards adopted by my generation. The release of a new video clip from a well-known video blogger, the publication of another song that has no meaning, a heated discussion of "funny" phrases about the "worthlessness of life" - do not awaken in me a trembling desire to maintain a conversation. I don’t understand, well, how can you discuss with such excitement every word, every movement of a person filming his attitude to life so unnaturally, commenting on every step? And then also copy it in your behavior. That is, it turns out that it’s not you who are talking, but that recognized “hero” from the TV screen, and if someone, God forbid, does not understand your joke, then consider that you have nothing to talk about with him.

Without dispute, each of them individually is a very interesting person to whom I can find an approach. But, getting together, they become strangers to me ... There is only a feeling of loneliness, and with it, sometimes, and rejection. You want to close yourself in your cozy room and hide from the "strange" world around, do what you like and not go outside. Earlier, I tried to understand all the meaninglessness of their conversations, pretended to be interested. Laughed like they did; she joked like they did, but all the time she felt “out of place”.

It is customary among the people to say: "To live with wolves - howl like a wolf." For me, this adaptation was necessary for my survival. But with age, a person's attitude towards life changes, and I no longer want to put up with such a framework. Having met in my seventeen years with a large number of completely different people, I begin to understand that somewhere there are my like-minded people - the same lost and confused personalities in this world, with whom I can be myself without much effort.

However, this will be later ...

George Santayana once said: "Society is like air: it is necessary for breathing, but not enough for life." Having separated from the collective, sooner or later I will strive to join the "pack" - this is obvious and inevitable. It remains only to continue to look for an approach to people of other views, to devote more time to those with whom interests nevertheless coincide. Of course, with many of us our tastes and preferences are very different, but it is very difficult for a "lone wolf" to live in this world ... Fortunately, when you still managed to find a person close to you in spirit. Especially if it seems to intertwine your worlds, yours - non-standard - and alien - generally accepted. He is like that little bridge, open to everything new and keeping an interest in the life of all times. I always admire his desire to support any topic with any person, while remaining himself - sincere, kind, decent, sympathetic, pure soul and with a strong character. With him, any flock is of no use to me!

"To live with wolves - howl like a wolf"- an expression that has its roots in the distant past. Our ancestors were closer to nature than we are. They knew the animal world, including the laws of the wolf pack.

It's not just a certain number of wolves. It has its own orders and a clear hierarchy, subordination to the laws of life.

I propose to recall the story of how a little boy, who was lost in the forest, was nursed and raised by a wolf pack. When the hunters were chasing the wolves, they did not abandon the human cub, which simply did not physically know how to run like them. Actually, it is for this reason that the child came to people.

Getting to the wolves, you share the fate of their pack - all good and all bad, deprivation and prosperity, hunger and abundance.

The Russian language is rich in expressions that mention wolves:

The meaning of phraseological units

The phraseologism "To live with wolves is to howl like a wolf" means that once you get into a collective / society, you involuntarily begin to live according to its laws, abandon some of your life principles.

This expression is still relevant today. It is very vital, it characterizes certain aspects of human society in the best possible way.

Those who have already read the reviews about the new project "By Wolf's Laws" probably know that this story is based on an Australian-made drama. Many of those who watched it found the tape too monotonous and therefore boring. And now a new drama series of the same name has come out, which may give us the drive we need so much in a good story. As a result, the story began to look much more interesting. As you know, a feature film loses to a series in a leisurely and detailed presentation of events - in the latter case, those who decide to receive a certain portion of "water", but it is not to the detriment of the project. On the contrary, watching an evenly developing storyline will be much better for many.

In the center of this plot is the Cody family, which trades in various illegal matters. And then one day a teenager named Joshua bursts into their measured, as you can call it, life - the grandson of the head of the criminal clan Janine, the son of her daughter who died from a drug overdose and the nephew of three uncles who, together with his mother, do dark deeds. In a word, on the screen in front of us looms a real gang, a pack of wolves, the laws of which Joshua must obey. The family accepts him warily, arranging constant tests for strength.

The series was filmed well, the actors were chosen competently - it is pleasant to watch what the director has done. And he ended up with an extraordinary story, although it is not based on a new plot. Willy-nilly, the fate of young Joshua begins to worry a lot, you watch and worry about him. The other members of the Cody family have a twofold attitude - the grandmother evokes sympathy and disgust, and her sons too.

Left without a mother and not knowing his father, in fact an orphan, Joshua begins to go with the flow in his new life. While it is impossible to say unequivocally whether he likes such changes. Perhaps he will accept this life, turning down the path leading to the criminal world, and perhaps he will find the strength to betray his new family. The series will let us know about this. "By the Laws of the Wolf" season 2... In the meantime, the release of each new series is expected with trepidation and excitement - how the fate of the young hero will eventually turn out. There are no simulated scenes in the script, you believe in what is happening on the screen. Well, in general, it will be informative to learn more about American crime, so to speak, from the inside.

It can also be called the ethics of imitation. A person who follows such an ethical system simply copies (more or less consciously) the behavior of the people around him, and first of all, the attitude towards himself personally. In practice, this behavior may not always seem attractive or even decent. If others behave with a given person "normally", then they can expect the same from him. But if there is any disorder going on around him, he will certainly take part in it, moreover, he will consider it his duty, since the greatest sin within the framework of this ethical system is “separation from the team”.

Within the framework of this system, it is impossible for one person to be right and the rest are wrong, or one person does better than everyone else. This situation seems (and is within the framework of this system) absurd, a contradiction in the definition.

Imitation, generally speaking, is the basis of all behavior. A person imitates both himself (repeating his own actions) and others (learning). The first ethical system is in this respect the most natural, although, perhaps, not the most pleasant for life in society.

The first ethical system appears to people living according to it to be something eternal. “This is life, this is how it was always"- that's what those who live by these laws think. Within this system, it makes no difference when an action is taking place - whether it has been done, whether it is taking place now or is just about to happen. “He tried to kill me, or he is trying to kill me, or he is going to kill me, he maybe[has the ability, strength or desire] to kill me - it means that I can[I have the right to] kill him ”: this is typical reasoning within the framework of the first ethical system. Or, in general form: "Everything always do so, so I always I will do this, and I did it before, and I do it now, and I will do it in the future. "

The source of evil in this ethical system is considered disobedience, self-will, in general, all sorts of manifestations disobedience to society, understood as inattention to others. Any manifestations of "one's own opinion", etc. are considered simply manifestations of indifference or contempt for society, and by no means a "voice of conscience." Naturally, this cannot arouse any sympathy in anyone: a person who does not act like everyone else simply despises everyone and does not reckon with anyone - this is the conclusion that others make right there. “He is all of us dishonored "- they talk about such a person, and try, at best, to reason with him, and more often - to punish, or to get rid of him altogether.

Civilizations entirely based on the first ethical system, have long ceased to dominate the planet. It persists within some cultures, which can be denoted by the word "South". However, this behavior has not disappeared, moreover, it is continuously reproduced within the framework of the so-called “subcultures”. It is enough to observe how the relations are arranged within a youth company, gang or any other marginal collective to see the first ethical system in action.

Second ethical system

Consider the second ethical rule.

I should not behave towards others in the same way that they do not behave towards me.
