A beginner and experienced artist should know the technique of how to draw a pike. The main differences from other inhabitants of the reservoir are a torpedo-shaped body with a large head and wide mouth. Her fins are not paired, and the color can be strikingly different from the conditions of the reservoir.
Distinguishing a male from a female is difficult. This sign is located near the tail (genitourinary fissure). So, in the female it is pale pink with a regular oval-shaped depression, and in the male it is an oblong narrow slit, painted in the color of the whole body.

Now let's move on to a more detailed description in order to find out exactly how to draw a pike in stages. Let's start with the head, which we will direct to the left side. We make a blank. Large open mouth, elongated body, at the end of which there is a narrowing of the boundaries and divergence of lines on the tail. Draw a large fin on the top of the back in the middle part, which we separate with parallel stripes. Draw a smaller fin between this element and the tail.
We detail the drawing. We will guide the lips of the fish, add a round eye with a black pupil, and draw gills a little further. Divide the tail with stripes. Below, on the belly, we make fins: one is in the middle (it will be forked), and the second is closer to the tail and smaller.
To bring this fish model as close as possible to a living exhibit, you should give it the appropriate color. With a black pencil, draw many dots on the top of the pike, including the fin and tail. Highlight the central stripe with a pink tint. Color the fins, tail and the top of the fish with dark green. We select the bottom with light green colors.

If the previous option seemed difficult or incomprehensible, let's try another option, how to draw a pike with a pencil in more detail. We do not change the direction of the fish. Draw a circle on the left, which we cross from above with a small line. A little further, we will make a larger circle, but so that their centers lie on the same segment. Draw the smallest circle at the same distance. Connect the rightmost point of the first circle to the rightmost point of the last small shape. We draw the line a little further. On this tip we cling to the tail in the form of an elongated trapezoid, the larger base of which is divided by two segments.
We make the left circle in the form of a head. Draw out the mouth, add an eye socket and outline the gill line.
We limit the body of the fish at the extreme points of the larger circle and lead it to the middle of the small circle.
Draw two large fins at the end of the body. We connect and slightly expand the border of the tail.
Go back to the head and detail the gills. Draw a fin under them, and under the large circle we draw another such element.
Fill the eye socket with a black pupil, draw another curve above the line of the mouth. The hind fins and tail are hatched with vertical and horizontal lines.
On the body of the fish we make several rows, but not completely filled, irregular circles.
We direct all the elements with a black felt-tip pen.
Erase the auxiliary lines.
Children's option
Now let's move on to the simplest way to depict a fish. Let's move on to light technology and help a child draw a pike. Let's turn the main one in the other direction. We draw the head and mouth.

Buckets are going through the village, the people are amazed, and Emelya walks behind, laughing ... We entered the buckets into the hut and ourselves stood on the bench, and Emelya climbed onto the stove.
How long has passed, how little time has passed - the daughters-in-law say to him:
- Emelya, why are you lying? Would go to chop wood.
- Reluctance ...
“You won’t chop wood, the brothers will come back from the bazaar, they won’t bring you any presents.” 
Emele is reluctant to get off the stove. He remembered about the pike and slowly says:

Surely when drawing a pike, many will remember fairy tales where such a river fish is found. Especially, where she appears in the title role - in the fairy tale "By the Pike's Command." Therefore, let's read a fairy tale and start drawing such a fish with an oblong arrow-shaped body and a long mouth with many teeth.
Necessary materials:
- - a blank sheet of paper;

- - colored pencils (black, dark brown and green);
- - a simple pencil.
Stages of drawing a pike:
- The most predatory fish in the river has an elongated body. Therefore, in order to get a drawing of a pike, you must first draw an oval in the center of the sheet and then divide it into two parts using a horizontal line.
- Now we begin to draw the outline of the pike in the middle of the oval, which has an arrow-like shape. On the left side there will be a head, which is also elongated. But on the right side, we will leave a place for the tail, where the fin should then be drawn.
- Remove the horizontal line and the oval outline with the eraser.
- Draw the fin on the right side. We will also add more small fins of different shapes and sizes along the lower and upper contours.
- Now you can go back to the front of the muzzle, where you should draw the eyes, mouth and gills. Determine the outline of the entire drawing and, if necessary, remove unnecessary lines. Now the mouth immediately stands out against the general background. After all, it is oblong and the lower part protrudes forward.
- We draw in detail the lines on each fin to make them look like real ones. After all, each line with the help of color will create a volume for the finished drawing.
- Many people know that pike can have different colors - from green to yellow and silvery. But our river fish will have a gray-green color. So, first of all, we take a dark green pencil, with which we completely fill the space in the middle of the contour of the drawing.
- Next, add brown tones to the scales of the pike with a dark brown pencil. So we get new shades on the fins, body, tail and head of the river fish.
- Finally, with a black pencil, create shadow ratios on all objects of the drawing, and also add an outline. We do it with neat strokes.
- If possible, take a white marker or gel pen. With this tool, draw in the lightest parts of the picture. This is how you get a cute drawing of a pike with colored pencils.
