Hand shadow theater

Hand shadow theater is one of the simplest forms of shadow art. For his equipment, you will need the most common items - a table lamp and a screen - a large sheet of white paper or cloth. If the room has light walls, a theatrical performance of light and shadow can be shown directly on the wall.

The pictures show how with the help of hands you can create silhouettes of animals, birds, people. With practice, you can bring shadows to life and tell your own story.

  • You can start acquainting children with the shadow theater from 1.5-2 years old. The first classes should be held as a theatrical performance, when an adult plays the roles, and the children act as spectators. After the child understands the rules and traditions of theatrical art, he can be included in the game as a participant in the action. Children play and voice roles, learn texts and poems. At first, trust small, uncomplicated roles. Then complicate things gradually.
  • Cardboard figures of shadow theater actors should be black, then they will be contrasting and noticeable on the screen. For DIY figurines, use curly stencils. If you plan to reuse homemade figurines, we recommend laminating them.
  • In order to make the shadows clear, place the light source behind a little to the side of the screen. The light source will be an ordinary desk lamp or flashlight.
  • The size of the shadow on the screen depends on the distance from the figure to the lamp. If you bring the figurine closer to the screen, then its shadow becomes small and clear. If you place it further, the shadow will increase in size, and the outlines will be blurred.
  • To prevent the decorations from moving during the performance, attach them to the screen itself with tape or paper clips.
  • Whatman paper, tracing paper or white sheet is perfect as a screen. The smaller the screen you use, the thinner and more transparent it needs to be, and the brighter you need a light source.
  • In order to create a theatrical atmosphere, you can draw a poster, tickets and even arrange an intermission.

Surely the overwhelming majority of parents and teachers of kindergarten or daycare groups pondered the question of how to organize more interesting leisure time for the children whose upbringing they are busy with. Among the popular modern children's entertainment are tabletop puppets or, thanks to which it is possible for the company of children or together with them to arrange a fascinating theatrical performance, which is based on some kind of folk or literary fairy tale. The Puppet Theater "Three Little Pigs" is a good example.

If you want to involve a child or a group of children in the independent production of fairy-tale characters or decorations, which will make up the tabletop theater "Three Little Pigs", you can use a sculpting technique available for children of different ages. This type of creativity will also be an excellent way to develop the fine motor skills of children's hands.

How to mold characters for a puppet theater, each of their creators can decide on their own. The work on creating fairy figurines can be done:

  • from plasticine;
  • from plastic mastic;
  • from salted dough;
  • from polymer clay.

To get each pig from plasticine, it is necessary to sculpt an oblong body and a spherical head, two pairs of legs from this material of a pale pink shade, and form triangular ears and a tail-like tail from small fragments.

The plasticine wolf figure should be somewhat larger. Here it is advisable to combine gray and black shades of the material. Black plasticine is recommended for modeling ears, nose, and claws.

Each plasticine hero can be decorated with fragments of the same material, imitating clothes, shoes, hats.

A figurine of such a hero as a wolf or a pig from polymer clay can be molded under the guidance of adults, since it requires the addition of acrylic paints to the material. If salty dough is chosen for making the figures, you will also need the help of adults to control the baking of stuck toys in the oven.

We use f etr

Having chosen the fairy tale "Three Little Pigs", we play the theater with the use of felt toys. For a performance based on this folk work, the heroes can be made both from natural felt and from synthetic felt, which is popular today and widely presented on the needlework market.

Felt theater can be done without any special frills. Figurines of three pigs and a wolf made of felt can be attached, for example, to cocktail tubes for convenient play.

To make characters in this way, you will need:

  • gray and pink felt;
  • small contrasting felt sections, including black, for clothes of fairy-tale characters and for decoration of a wolf's face;
  • colored and black threads;
  • four cocktail tubes.

The bodies and heads of toys are formed from paired parts, inside which legs are inserted. The details are connected in stages with the threads selected in color, using the front overlock seam.

Eyes and mouths are embroidered with black threads. To shape the nose of the wolf, you can use a piece of black felt.

At the end of the work, a tube is inserted into the hole left at the bottom of the body of each character. If desired, it can be secured with silicone glue.

The bodies of each of the theatrical puppets can also be assembled in such a way that the holes through which the toy is controlled are at the top and bottom. Fingers can be inserted into the lower symmetrical holes, thereby imitating pork legs and allowing the doll to move during the performance.

Finger characters

For finger theater, felt is also considered the most successful material.

The models of the three piglets and the wolf can be very different. The main condition when sewing finger toys, from which a puppet theater will be created with your own hands, is a cavity in the lower part of each figure, so that the toy can be put on a finger.

Felt theater "3 little pigs" can be table-top. In order to create it on your own, we recommend using the step-by-step master class below.

Make it out of cardboard boxes from household clinging foil, cling film, or parchment.

In addition to such a stable foundation, you will need:

  • cuts of gray and pink felt;
  • rectangular cuts of textiles with a print;
  • toy eyes;
  • beads or buttons;
  • multi-colored rep ribbons;
  • scissors;
  • threads with a needle;
  • silicone glue.

The wolf doll is made from a larger roller, which must be wrapped with gray felt. Join the edges of the fabric with a blind seam.

Piglets are created from smaller rollers upholstered with delicate print textiles.

To design the muzzles and paws of each toy, we use the patterns of these parts proposed below.

At the end of the work, each pig is tied around the neck with a reps ribbon folded in a bow.

Funny figures for the theater are ready.

Glove toy theater

A glove puppet is successfully used for a theater at home or a performance with a screen in a children's institution.

How a wolf or pig glove doll can be independently sewn can be found in the master class attached below.

Make a printout of the pattern shown in the photo of the pattern.

According to it, each glove doll is sewn from paired parts made of fleece or artificial fur.

Scenario.

Nuf-Nuf. Brothers, the warm summer is over. Where will you and I live, shelter from the wind and cold in winter?

Naf-Naf. I built myself a straw house. Wintering in it.

Nif-Nif. And I built a house from twigs, and made a roof from dry leaves.

Nuf-Nuf. But, brothers, you will be very cold in winter! But can such fragile walls protect you from the wolf?

Naf-Naf. FROM the wolf? Are you afraid of the wolf? Why, wolves are only in fairy tales!

Nif-Nif. Ha ha! Our brother is afraid of the wolf! And we are not afraid! Let it only appear - we'll show him!

Wolf. Where are these brave piglets who are not afraid of the wolf? So I'll grab them and eat them now!

(The pigs screech to their houses and hide. The wolf approaches the first pig's house).

Wolf. Well, open it.

Naf-Naf. I won't open it for anything.

Wolf. Ah well! Then I will blow now and there will be nothing left of this house!

(The wolf is blowing. The house falls. The first pig runs to the house of the second piglet and hides there. The wolf approaches the house of the second pig.

Wolf. Well, open the doors!

Naf-Naf and Nuf-Nuf. We won't open it!

Wolf. But now I’m like a breath - only twigs will remain from your house!

(The wolf blows. The house falls. The piglets run to the house of the third piglet. The wolf chases after them and almost overtakes, but swoops into the apple tree and falls. Brothers - the pigs are hiding in the house of the third piglet).

Wolf. Now I will blow harder and get to you! (It blows, but the house does not fall.)

Then I will climb into your house through the chimney! (Climbs down the pipe and falls.)

Oh-oh, how painful I hurt myself. (Runs away.)

Nif - Nif. Come on, brothers, we will live together in this house! Here we are not afraid of any wolf!
