The program of the production faculty "artist-stage technologist" is aimed at training a specialist in the field of modern theater design, combining all the achievements of modern theater technology. Students learn the history and technology of theater design, actively using their skills in practice while creating educational projects, working in workshops and decorating entire performances. In the third year of study, students get the opportunity to specialize in "lighting technologist". The total duration of training in the specialty "scene technologist" is 5 years.

In the theater, the duty of this category of workers is, first of all, to realize on the stage the idea of ​​the director and production designer. That is, to materialize (build) a work of theatrical art - a performance in which today it is impossible to separate the artistic and technological components, since the nature of the transformation of the scenery, the possibilities of its light assimilation, the texture of the material used - all this affects the style and image of the production. A theater artist-technologist can be compared to a conductor whose task is to convey the music composed by the composer to the audience. Within the framework of the faculty program, a combined study of the main elements of theatrical design is carried out and the skills of a free creative approach to the creation of an artistic and technological concept of the play, author's design are developed. In addition to studying the history and technology of scenography, fine arts, theater, literature and other humanitarian disciplines, students master organizational and managerial skills in the fields of economics and organization of theatrical business, the foundations of modern management and management of theater production, actively using their skills in practice while performing educational decoration projects for whole performances.
