Emma Zhavnovskaya

It's golden time autumn- an unusually beautiful phenomenon in nature, but so fleeting, and is given to us, as if in consolation before the long winter. So I want to keep such beauty in my memory and preserve it.

Today we will try draw the simplest, elementary landscape using natural material accessible to older children. We need watercolors and gouache paints, thick and thin brushes, yarrow inflorescences and different leaves. 1 Wet the sheet with water.

2 Draw clouds on a still wet sheet. Fill the sky with different shades of blue and purple watercolors. Closer to the bottom of the sheet, the sky should be lighter.

We also depict the earth on a wet sheet. Take paints that are not bright, with shades of brown and yellow. Remember, the ground below is darker, closer to the horizon, lighter.

3 Draw a strip of forest on the horizon.

4 We represent trees. We hold the brush vertically, we start drawing from the ground, and not vice versa.

5 Draw branches with a thin brush from the trunk, with the tip of the brush draw small twigs, "worms" on thick branches.

6 Mix the brown paint with a slightly black one and apply a shadow to the trunk.

7 We tint the birch in the same way. Add a drop of black to the white gouache, mix, it turns out a shade of gray, we also apply a shadow on the trunk and branches.

8 Spread the inflorescences of yarrow with gouache of red, yellow and a little green. Squeeze tightly into a bunch and "print" the foliage. Experiment with colors for interesting shades.

9 Also cover the leaves with gouache and apply to the drawing. It turns out the image of small trees or bushes. Draw the trunk and twigs... Yes, and don't forget to "print" foliage under the trees.

That's all. Try, create and you will definitely succeed!

Every child draws the drawing "Autumn" at least once in his life - in kindergarten or school, this theme is often present in the lessons of fine arts, the world around him and literary reading. Few adults can remain indifferent to the brightness and variety of autumn colors, and many of them want to show this palette to children by giving a master class with a step-by-step photo or step-by-step construction of a schematic drawing on a chalkboard.

Before drawing an autumn landscape, you need to choose the materials that will be taken as the basis of the work. We propose to consider the option of a drawing made using watercolors and colored pencils on ordinary, but thick enough, white paper (it is best to use sheets for watercolors or sketches).

With a simple pencil, as usual, we sketch a drawing - a sketch. Our composition will consist of several trees and a small village house. She is interested in the presence of a hill, in the center of which we plant the main thing. Due to the hill, the horizon line, foreground and background looks different.

Fill the autumn sky with color. Using the watercolor fill technique. This technique is used when you want to get an uneven solid background.

In the same way we decorate the crown of the trees in the background. They will turn out to be blurry and will complement the main details of the picture.

Fill with watercolor - background

In the same way, fill the grass and the line of the bushes with color, which is in the background. We make the shrub darker than the grass. We highlight the tree near the house with a lighter tone of paint, thereby making an accent on the house. And he begins to attract attention, although he is located on one of the lines far from the edge.

Fill with watercolor - foreground

We work on large tree trunks, giving them volume using the play of light and shadow: we make one side of the trunk darker than the other. Mark the shadow cast by the trees and the house on the grass, fill the path with color.

Coloring in watercolor - step 1

Select the bushes in the background with burgundy and red colors. We emphasize the descent in the central part of the picture with a dark color. We emphasize the relief of the tree trunk in the foreground, highlighting its right side with a darker color.

Coloring in watercolor - step 2

We draw bushes around the house, fill its windows with color. We emphasize the play of color in the tree crowns on the right side of the picture, using warm autumn colors. We paint the foreground of the picture with the same warm colors.

Coloring in watercolor - step 3

We dry the picture well, after which we begin to work out the details with colored pencils: foliage, shrubs located in the distance. Please note that the closer the object is to the edge of the picture, the more vivid its details should be. The tree in the center - the key element of the landscape - should be as expressive as possible and worked out to the smallest detail. We draw birds flying away.

The colorful colors of autumn inspire many artists to create real masterpieces. Watercolor paints can help you capture colorful landscapes. Today we have prepared another fascinating lesson in which we will tell you how to paint autumn with watercolors. As a plot, we chose a beautiful view of the autumn forest from the side of the lake.

You will need some tools:

  • watercolor paper;
  • an eraser and a pencil;
  • round synthetic brushes # 5, 2 and 3;
  • watercolor paints.

Stages of drawing

Step 1. Considering that we will be drawing autumn using the "wet watercolor" technique, it is advisable to fix a sheet of paper on a tablet using masking or stationery tape. Due to this, when drying, the sheet of paper will remain flat and will not be driven away by a large amount of applied water. Let's get to work. We outline with a simple pencil the line of the coast and the upper border of the forest.

On the left, under the drawn coastline, create another small island. We supplement it with teardrop-shaped fir trees and a lush rounded bush.

Step 2. Now we wet a strip of forest and a large bush on the island with water and fill them with yellow-orange shades. Draw the lower part of the coast in a translucent burgundy tone.

Step 3. Paint over the remaining parts of the sketch with green and emerald green shades.

Step 4. We shade the coast and the island with ocher. Then create a contrasting shadow on the green trees. And with the help of red cadmium and ocher, we highlight the crowns of yellowed trees in the distance. Draw thin trunks with a thin brush.

Step 4. When the paint is dry, create the sky. We moisten the upper part of the picture with clean water and, mixing turquoise and blue shades, draw the sky and translucent clouds.

Step 5. Below, under the island, draw another one using yellow, orange, brown and green tones. Then we leave the drawing until the paint is completely dry.

Step 6. Now we transfer the reflection of the forest and sky to the surface of the lake, having previously moistened the sheet with water. We make the reflection of nearby objects clearer and more saturated.

Hello dear guests! The theme of nature, one of the most beloved in the work of artists, poets, musicians, it is she who is very closely connected with the boundless love for the Motherland and beloved Russian spaces. The heart of each creator is simply overflowing with tender feelings and awe before the beauties of the Russian land. Especially beautiful and charming is the theme of autumn with its delightful colors and emotional experiences. There is no person living in Russia who could not be imbued with delightful autumn landscapes.

The theme of autumn beauty did not pass by the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. There are many periods of creativity in the poet's biography, but "Boldinskaya Autumn" in Pushkin's life is considered the brightest period of his work. It was in the village that he opened up in many genres and created the maximum number of works in a short period of time (he stayed in Boldino for about 3 months).
In 1830 Pushkin, who had long dreamed of marriage and "his own home", sought the hand of NN Goncharova, a young Moscow beauty without dowry. Having set out to take possession of the estate presented by his father for the wedding, due to cholera quarantines, he was imprisoned for three months in the village of Boldino (Nizhny Novgorod province). "Boldinskaya Autumn" by Pushkin gave the world a lot of interesting and talented works, both in prose and in poetry. The village had a beneficial effect on Alexander Sergeevich, he liked solitude, clean air, beautiful nature. In addition, no one bothered him, so the writer worked from early morning until night, until the muse left him.
The days of late autumn are usually scolded,
But she is sweet to me, dear reader,
With quiet beauty, shining with humility.
So unloved child in a dear family
It attracts me to itself. To tell you frankly,
Of the annual times, I am glad only for her ...
("Autumn" excerpt by A. Pushkin)

"Boldinskaya Autumn" opened with the poems "Demons" and "Elegy" - the horror of the lost and hope for the future, difficult, but giving joy of creativity and love. Three months were devoted to summing up the results of youth (Pushkin considered his thirtieth birthday to be her foreign) and to the search for new ways. Was completed "Eugene Onegin", written "abyss" of poems and articles, "Belkin's Tale", opening poetry and the fundamental complexity of "ordinary" life, "Little Tragedies", where the historical and psychological concreteness of characters and conflicts, taking on symbolic forms, led to The "last" existential issues (this line will be developed in the story "The Queen of Spades" and the poem "The Bronze Horseman", both 1833; "Scenes from Knightly Times", 1835). Pushkin's "Boldinskaya Autumn" is, perhaps, one of those periods when creativity flowed like a river from the great Russian genius.
It's a sad time! enchantment of the eyes!
Your farewell beauty is pleasant to me -
I love the lush wilting of nature,
Crimson and gold-clad forests,
There is noise and fresh breath in their canopy,
And the heavens are covered with a wavy mist,
And a rare sunbeam, and the first frosts,
And distant gray winters are threats.
("Autumn" excerpt by A. Pushkin)

Master class progress:

Let's get started with a preliminary, light sketch with a simple pencil. We draw light silhouettes of trees, we need trunks, several branches, we will draw a crown with autumn decorations at once with paints. We draw a horizon line and a Pushkin bench in the park. We will paint with watercolors, so you need to prepare the paints - moisten them with clean water, this will help create more transparent and resonant colors in the picture.

Start by painting with the sky background, using blue and purple colors (a little paint and more water), achieving the lightest shades.

Now, on the ground, we apply almost transparent shades of brown and green to the entire space of the drawing that has not been painted over, up to the horizon line. Then we work with strokes on a wet background (multi-colored fallen leaves).

It's time to work on the golden decoration of the trees, paint the crown in yellow. And, again, on the wet background, add orange and red colors with strokes, so that the volume and outlines of the leaves of the tree are created.

In a similar way, we draw the crown of a tree with still green foliage, with brown strokes, we draw the bark of trees, trunks.

To make the landscape more picturesque, darken the horizon line, use green with a slight addition of black (working with a palette). We slightly blur the dark horizon of the horizon with water to get a smooth transition of color to color (from dark to light). We paint the bench with a basic tone (dark gray).

Add shadows on the ground from trees and a bench.

Now we need to make our autumn landscape more realistic. To show the bulkiness of the bench, add shades of black to the back, to the junction of the back and the seat, and the edge of the seat closest to us. We give the tree trunks a larger volume, draw the outlines of a brown-black color (work with the palette) and blur the outlines with a clean brush with water inside the trunk. We do the same with the crowns of trees, but we are already working with the colors corresponding to them.

The autumn sky is distinguished by its depth, to show this in the picture you need to intensify the color in the upper part of it, add a more saturated blue color. And, our work on the autumn landscape is over.

Pushkin autumn shines in my soul.
Oh, the secret of the golden valley,
Divine light above him ...
Burn in my poems, verb fire!
The miracle of Pushkin's word touched
The nature of the modest Boldin shelter.
She is warmed by the heat of autumn
Keeps in itself the love of spring and summer.
The oak overhangs with a bronze wall.
He keeps the estate like a knight of honor.
I'll cling to him, and it seems that together
The globe of the earth freezes with me.
Pushkin worked here, looking into these distances.
For Boldin, poetry became a prayer.
(Boldin Sonnets, Magomed Akhmedov)
