Under this motto, on March 2, all 29 municipal libraries of Chelyabinsk celebrated the World Day of Reading Aloud.

For the third year in a row, Chelyabinsk librarians devote the first Wednesday of March to reading aloud. It is no secret that in the modern rhythm of life there is practically no time left for reading aloud, and this is very useful! Reading aloud allows you to learn how to express thoughts easily and accurately, helps to increase vocabulary, horizons, improve diction, intonation, emotional coloring, brightness, correctness of speech and its other elements. Scientists have shown that children to whom parents read books aloud from an early age have better speech skills, write more competently and absorb information faster. This is why reading aloud is beneficial for both adults and children.

Start of the marathon

The marathon of reading aloud was opened by the family of Aleksey Nikolayevich Lokotskov, a deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Soviet District. In the library number 14 named after NV Gogol and his wife Ekaterina read children's poems by South Ural poets Mikhail Pridvorov, Nina Pikuleva, Marina Yurina, Elena Ranneva and others for the pupils of kindergarten №339. authors.

And we asked the Lokotskov family a few questions:

- What reading traditions do you have in your family?

- We love to read. This love was passed on to us from our grandparents. Books and reading have always been appreciated in our families. Grandparents gave us a large home library, mostly classics, for which we are very grateful. When the children were young, every day, at night, we read fairy tales, and sometimes we came up with different stories ourselves, - says Alexey Nikolaevich.

- What books do you read most often?

- Classics. Favorite book - 12 chairs. I recently reread Anna Karenina.

- I have read Makarenko's "Pedagogical Poem" many times, I love detective stories, I read professional literature, - adds my spouse.

- For the second year in a row, you have supported the campaign One Day of Reading Aloud. What are your impressions?

- You get great pleasure from communication, from how people and especially children listen and perceive what you read. I am very pleased with this lively response to what you are reading about. After participating in the action last year, I told my wife about my feelings experienced during the meeting - this year she came with me, - Aleksey Nikolaevich smiles.

- What, in your opinion, is the benefit of reading aloud?

- Reading aloud is a lively dialogue, live communication between people, communication "eye to eye", going out on the "one wave", which we lack in our "crazy" life. Today we will definitely read aloud to our children at home, - promised Alexey and Ekaterina Lokotskov.

We read aloud books on the anniversary

In 2016, high-profile readings were dedicated to books-jubilees, writers-jubilees and reading the works of South Ural authors for the 280th anniversary of Chelyabinsk.

The book of the year in the libraries has been chosen by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin's story "The Captain's Daughter", which turns 180 years old. It is no coincidence that loud readings in the Central Library. A.S. Pushkin was dedicated to this book.

- We believe that a WORD spoken aloud is a force that can change the world. The event dedicated to World Reading Day and held annually in the library inspires children and adults to read more, read emotionally with pleasure, read with joy, '' explains Olga Solodovnikova, head of the department of the Central Library named after A.S. Pushkin.

- Lovers of the Internet, too, did not refuse to remember today about reading books aloud. The first excerpt from "The Captain's Daughter" was read by the librarian, and then the baton was continued by the users of the electronic information hall. Some were so carried away by reading that they forgot about the computer for which they came, and that it is necessary to pass the baton to the next reader, - adds the head of the department of the Central Library named after I. A.S. Pushkin Irina Tingaeva.

Throughout the day, "The Captain's Daughter" was also read in libraries No. 5, 13, 23 and 27. Everyone who came could test themselves in the art of reading aloud and just listen to the reading.

Students of the 6th grade of school №71 were invited to the library №5.

- They study "The Captain's Daughter" according to the school curriculum, but as it turned out, not everyone read it. I was afraid that the children would not be very interested if they start reading the work from the beginning, - says Olga Kuvshinova, head of the library. - Therefore, we decided to start reading from the third chapter, in which the protagonist meets the family of Captain Mironov and his daughter Marya Ivanovna. Three chapters were read: "Fortress", "Duel", "Love". The guys got carried away and listened with interest. This is not the first time I notice that children, even those of middle school age, really like it when they are read aloud.

After the reading, the children were introduced to the “Book of the Year” transforming exhibition. The exhibition presents the book itself by A.S. Pushkin's "The Captain's Daughter" and the sections arising from the text of the work: the Pugachev uprising, about Pugachev, about Catherine the Great, the history of Russian life, the history of Russian costume, books about Russian officers of that period, as well as books about Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.

"Woe from Wit" by Alexander Griboyedov is another book of the anniversary of 2016, considered an example of public comedy. And although the comedy was written 185 years ago, the problems posed in it still cause controversy. A small patch of comedy depicts the specific features of Russian society and the general humanistic features of a progressive thinking person.

In the library number 22 named after D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak's action was supported by pupils of the eighth grade of school # 130.

- Since the school curriculum involves acquaintance with the comedy "Woe from Wit" in high school, and our audience is not familiar with it, everyone responded with great desire to the offer to read it aloud. The reading showed that love, jealousy, honor, betrayal, loneliness and misunderstanding, social injustice are eternal themes, and they excite not only literary heroes, but also young people of our time, - commented Nadezhda Partsz, head of library number 22.

1st and 2nd year students of SUSU, ChelSU and CSPU, who came after classes to the library №26 named after OK. Tatyanicheva, a surprise awaited. One of the halls of the library has turned into the living room of Sofia Pavlovna Famusova with candelabra, flowers and, of course, editions of "Woe from Wit" of different years. The main character invited everyone to read the lines from the comedy with her.

- Loud sight reading turned out to be interesting and not an easy task. Chatsky's monologues were not theatrical for everyone, but, according to young people, it was "cool", - notes the head of library # 26 Evgenia Nabieva.

Literary landing from libraries No. 25 and No. 32 named after M. Gorky landed in the hostels of college students. Together with the librarians, the students enthusiastically read the roles of the first and second acts from Griboyedov's comedy. After the action, the participants were convinced that reading aloud helps to develop oratory skills.

But in the library №2 "Peer", after the commented reading "Woe from Wit", they also organized a competition for connoisseurs of aphorisms among high school students from school №38 and library readers. Alexander Pushkin himself predicted that half of the verses of Griboyedov's comedy "Woe from Wit" would go into proverbs. And so it happened: a lot of Griboyedov's winged words and expressions have become firmly established in everyday speech and live to this day: "everyone is lying calendars", "I would be glad to serve, it sickening to serve," "I went into a room - I got into another," "moderation and accuracy "

In 2016, Nikolai Leskov's book "The Tale of the Tula Oblique Left-Handed and His Steel Flea" celebrates its 135th anniversary, and its author turns 185 years old. A commented reading of the book among fifth grade students of school No. 145 took place in the library of the village of Novosineglazovo.

- Nikolai Semenovich Leskov traveled all over Russia and wrote many wonderful works. They are written in their native language, not littered with foreign words. His speech is clear, like holy water in a spring: it will stand for a hundred years in a cherished vessel and will not turn rancid, will not grow cloudy. The unusual style and manner of the author's narration give Leskov's work originality, - says Augusta Plotnikova, head of the Novosineglazovskaya library # 20.

During the loud reading, the librarians drew the children’s attention to new, unusual words of the tale.

Kunstkamera - museum, collection of rare things;

Nymphozoria is something outlandish, microscopic;

Danse - dance;

Melkoscope - microscope;

Whistlers - messengers sent to transmit messages;

Tugament - a document;

Ozyamchik - peasant clothes like a coat;

Grandev - a meeting, a date;

Dolbitsa - table.

The exhibition-installation "On the road with the Lefty" was specially designed for this day in the library.In front of the library's readers, a Tula gunsmith is "conjuring" over the anvil with a hammer in his left hand, "a scythe Lefty, a birthmark on his cheek, and hairs on his temples were ripped out". At the exhibition we see a vise, an anvil - Levsha's working tool, a samovar, a symbol of the city of Tula. After all, it was Tula who was famous for its artisan craftsmen. After a loud reading, the guys arranged a photo session near the exhibition.

A group of active readers opened the day of reading in the library № 24 "Yugo-Vostochnaya". The chapters from "Levsha" were read with interest by both adults and young people, after which the participants of the action were offered to answer the questions of the quiz on the work of Leskov.

Loud readings were also dedicated to Leskov's jubilee in the library №18 "Krasnaya". Before reading aloud, librarian Lyudmila Bartasunas spoke about the life and work of the writer, and then there they began to read his work "Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District".

In the children's department of the library №10 "Raduga" they read aloud the book "Bronze Bird" by Anatoly Rybakov, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in February. Of all the children present, only one boy watched a film based on the story of the same name, and no one had read the book itself before.

- The children listened to the chapters from the book, and it was interesting to watch how gradually the story of the book begins to captivate them. And now you can see how interest and empathy appear from the events taking place, - Olesya Shrein, the head of the department of library №10, shares her observations. - The plot of the book is very dynamic, and many moments really keep you in suspense and make you think.

Then the children went to the media room and watched a short excerpt from the film based on the above story. After that, interest was already replaced by the desire to take the book and read it to the end of the house.

Acquaintance with the "Bronze Bird" took place in the library №32 named. M.Gorky. For the children of the 6th grade, the librarian briefly told the content of the book, read interesting episodes, and then the children read themselves with pleasure. The result of the meeting surpassed all expectations, the readers sorted out all the books "Bronze Bird" that were in the fund.

Guests of the library №1 told about their favorite books. The chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Metallurgical District, Denis Nikolayevich Matsko, in an entertaining and informative conversation, spoke about the work of Jules Verne, who in his works predicted many scientific discoveries. And the representative of the Council of Veterans, Konstantin Ivanovich Udovitsky, shared his impressions of the books he loved as a child. These are the adventures of Walter Scott, Jules Verne, Conan Doyle, patriotic - "Timur and his team" by A. Gaidar, "Dagger", "Bronze bird" by Anatoly Rybakov and others.

The speakers read their favorite excerpts from the works and drew attention to the fact that reading is necessary both for general development and because books awaken the best aspirations. If you read a good, smart book, then your own smart thoughts come to mind. After all, it is the book that helps in communication, helps out in many situations, prompting the right decisions.

After such bright and emotional performances, the guys began to read aloud excerpts from their favorite books with great inspiration.

- I would like to note that we enjoyed reading not only Harry Potter, but also The Fourth Height by E. Ilyina, The Malachite Box by P. Bazhov, as well as poems by A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, A. Fet. Children love to read. It is just that the parents and grandparents themselves have to take a book in their hands more often so that children and grandchildren can see them with the book, and not at the TV or computer, ”advises the head of the library №1 Lyudmila Babinyan.

Dedicated to the anniversary of Chelyabinsk

In honor of the 280th anniversary of Chelyabinsk, as part of the action, the works of Chelyabinsk authors were read aloud in libraries.

The guest of the library №17 was the poet, writer, member of the Union of Russian Writers Alexander Kozheikin. For students of the 1st course of the road-building technical school, he read poetry from his collections. The guys listened with bated breath. And then his poems were read by Sasha Shalakhov, showing a good understanding and a sense of the verse. In conclusion, Alexander Valentinovich presented books with his autograph to Sasha Shalakhov and Denis Habsalyamov.

In the Pushkin Hall of the Central Library. A.S. Pushkin, members of the library clubs "Knizhnik", "Sails of Hope", "Poetic Environment" read aloud the poems of the Ural poets about Chelyabinsk - A. Gorskaya, L. Tatyanicheva, N. Vatoropina, V. Lakhno, M. Lvov, B. Rucheva, V .Kotina, V. Stog, B. Vokhmintsev.

A poetic marathon of reading aloud, dedicated to the 280th anniversary of Chelyabinsk, unfolded in the library №31. For the most active participants, a "free microphone" was organized in the library, where everyone could personally read poetry and confess their love to our city with the help of a poetic word.

I would sing with a poetic pen,

Chelyabinsk, your streets and squares ... Asya Gorskaya

“Adult visitors of the library chose to read aloud poems by Lyudmila Tatyanicheva, Mikhail Lvov, Kirill Shishov, Mikhail Shanbatuev,” says the head of the library Natalia Apalikova.

The poetry marathon lasted all day not only in the halls of the library №31, but also in the branch of the school №68. Librarians in grades 2-6 were introduced to the works of Chelyabinsk poets Asya Gorskaya, Rimma Dyshalenkova, Nina Pikuleva, Nikolai Shilov, Konstantin Rubinsky. The children listened with interest to the poem by Asya Borisovna Gorskaya dedicated to the baby camel (depicted on the coat of arms of Chelyabinsk), as well as the poem "Chelyabinsk citizen Alyosha". And the librarians read a cycle of poems about Chelyabinsk from Nina Pikuleva as poetic riddles "Guess what place in Chelyabinsk these lines are devoted to ...?"

At the end of the poetic marathon, the librarians thanked the children and teachers for the fact that the Single Day of Reading aloud passed brightly and emotionally, and the river of poetic mood overwhelmed everyone without exception, charging everyone with a wonderful spring mood!

In the library №21 "On the Yakornaya" first-graders read the collection "Know-it-all" by the first children's writer of the South Urals, Vasily Kuznetsov. Let us remind you that in February, a memorial plaque was erected in honor of the author on the building of house number 21 on the 1st Pyatiletka street. In Russia and abroad, the poet is also known as the author of the poetic children's fairy tale "Bazaar", which he wrote in 1937 for his little son Gleb. Excerpts from this tale were read in the library №11 named after. J. Hasek.

Books of local history and poetry collections of the Ural poets: "Faces of the city - faces of time", Samigulov G. "Fortress and provincial city", Tatyanicheva L. "A fine day" was offered to read in the library №10 "Rainbow". Everyone chose a book to their liking and read a short passage or a poem.

Bartomania continues

Many libraries have dedicated one day of reading aloud to the poems of Agnia Barto, who would have recently turned 110 years old.

In the Central Library. A.S. Pushkinthe holiday was held under the motto "We Honor the Parrots". The poems of Agnia Barto were performed by kids from kindergarten No. 70, educators and organizers. They read with the help of librarians, read in chorus, read, play, and in a round dance. Collections of poems by Agnia Barto, bookmarks with quatrains were used. And in order for the children not to be shy and feel freer, the librarians offered to read poetry to the new "employees" of the library to them. A.S. Pushkin - to the parrots Hush and Gertrude. The children were very surprised that cute budgerigars live in the library and they gladly approached their cage, talked to them and recited poetry.

“This method is used in many libraries around the world to aid reading aloud. Psychologists have found that children are more willing to read aloud to animals that will not be able to appreciate them, will not correct and interrupt. And it's always pleasant for a child to communicate with an animal, - explains librarian Yana Skipina.

In the intervals between the readings, small physical education minutes were held, the children were offered to play the poems and show them together with simple movements.

- The guys from the preparatory group, some by syllables, and some fluently read aloud their favorite quatrains about a bull, our Tanya and a bunny, abandoned by the hostess. But the main theme was birds, about which Barto wrote a lot - crows, starlings, sparrows. The animated film "Bullfinch" based on the poem of the same name by the poetess successfully blended into the cheerful atmosphere, and all the children, even those who still cannot read, joined the loud reading, - added the head of the department Natalya Gavrilova.

The library parrots first listened attentively, and then they also joined in loud reading, albeit in their own language.

A single day of reading aloud in the library of the village of Shershni was also dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the Russian children's writer Agniya Lvovna Barto. Poems aloud for first-graders from school No. 148 were read by the head. library №29 Natalya Leontyeva and Natalya Saparmamedova - head of the children's creativity club of the microdistrict club. Hornets. The highlight of the meeting was the play "basket of forgotten toys" and poems by Agnia Barto. The guys took turns taking out various items from the basket (ball, boat, horse, etc.) and read poems about them - "Ball", "Ship", "Dropped the bear on the floor", etc. The kids loved this game so much that some came out several times. As a result, all the toys were "returned" to the poems of the poetess.

On the first Wednesday of March, people around the world celebrate World Reading Aloud Day. This holiday was created by the LitWorld organization to emphasize that “sharing stories and emotions is an inalienable right of every person”. Reading aloud engages most of the higher brain areas, improves diction, helps remember what you read, and builds a relationship between the reader and his audience.

On the eve of this event, students of the 5th - 9th grades of the Uisk correctional school gathered in the reading room to take part in loud readings together. The poem by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin "Poltava" was not chosen for reading by chance, in 2018 this work celebrates its 190th anniversary.

The children got acquainted with the main characters of the poem and read aloud with great pleasure, listened attentively to other readers, took pictures with the book.

How long have you read aloud yourself? Perhaps it was in childhood, when you were just learning to put letters into words, or in elementary school in a literature class. Now we forget how an artistic word sounds, we lose the art of recreating feelings and thoughts in a living word, which are saturated with a work of art.

This holiday is wonderful because there is always a way to celebrate it, no matter what happens in your life. On this day, you can read aloud to your beloved without any hesitation! You can read alone, but at the same time broadcast on social networks. Each parent has a grateful audience - a child who will be happy to listen to you. It is not necessary to recite a work already written before. You can compose on the go and then voice it out. Sitting in a circle, taking turns, line by line, invent a story.

World reading aloud day

An action of this magnitude took place in Chelyabinsk for the first time. Together with children's libraries, on March 6, 2014, more than 1200 small and large residents of our city read and listened to reading books.

The most numerous listeners were preschoolers. The “Library Tour” in kindergartens was a great success. The librarians took the selection of books for children to read especially seriously.

Library staff # 17 chose their favorite spring topic for reading - about moms. The meeting in kindergarten # 28 was called "A Tale from the Heart and Soul About How Good Mothers Are". First, librarians read the children poems by Chelyabinsk poets, and then they organized a children's reading competition "Our mothers, mothers, mothers". Reading is good because it awakens the desire to express feelings experienced not only in words. Inspired by reading, children painted portraits of their mothers and all together sang "spring" songs together.

In kindergarten No. 236, librarians from the library No. 3 named. V. Kuznetsov read the book by John Rowe "Hug Me, Please!". The kids listened attentively to the touching story of how a thorny hedgehog with a kind heart found a friend for himself.

In kindergartens # 337 (library # 10), # 425 (library # 11), # 352 (library # 15), they read stories of wonderful writers N. Nosov, V. Dragunsky, K. Paustovsky. Stories that were different in their mood and meaning - funny, sad, instructive, set the children up for reasoning about the actions of book heroes, for memories from their small, but sometimes very eventful life.

The head of the children's library №16 Lilia Nikolaevna Vasina came to kindergarten № 455 with the aim not to excite, but to calm the children's feelings. She read the well-known and beloved by children story of L. Tolstoy "Filippok" in the bedroom, before going to sleep. Surely, the children then had good dreams.

The library trooper has successfully completed its mission of promoting reading aloud in many of the city's schools.

The librarians from library # 8 were greeted by pupils of grades 1-4 of school # 153. They read and listened to the whole lesson with enthusiasm!

The staff of the library №9 attracted to reading their like-minded people: teachers and school librarians. In elementary school # 37, it was a real Reading Aloud Day. The teacher Trofimova Tatyana Viktorovna read to the children V. Astafiev's story "A horse with a pink mane." And again the feelings overwhelming the children turned into drawings: a whole herd of horses "rushed" along the album sheets. Librarian Lyubov Dmitrievna Dobrydina read funny stories by V. Golyavkin to the children. The children listened with pleasure. This time, the reading awakened a dramatic gift: the guys staged some of the stories.

Library # 16 was inventive as always. At school # 123, librarians gathered the children right in the foyer, where they read the stories of M. Zoshchenko with great success. At school №154 A. Aksakov's fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower" was read in the library, in the classroom, in the corridor and even in the dining room! Neither noisy breaks nor mouth-watering smells interfered with reading. And librarians brought to school # 78 ... a cat, real, live! Because the story of B. Zhitkov “A stray cat” was chosen for loud reading. The personal presence of the main "heroine" greatly increased the effect of reading.

Librarians held loud readings in the playroom of the Indigo children's psychological center (library No. 3), in the Rainbow children's center for children of the Tsvetik-seven-flower studio (library No. 12), in the orphanage No. 14 (library No. 10)

The most complete immersion in loud reading took place in libraries... Here, both readers and listeners were all "young and old." Librarians read aloud to readers, readers - to librarians. Mothers read to children, children - to all visitors of the library, students - future actors, read to teenagers - future students. "Solo" reading alternated with reading in roles. In many libraries, audio recordings of the best literary works performed by famous actors were continuously broadcast. You could just sit down and listen, enjoying the performance skills.

In the children's library No. 1, the stories of N. Nosov were performed by the staff of Elena Sukhanova and Irina Sokolova. It's hard to say from what pupils from preschool educational institution # 80 got more pleasure - from masterful reading of librarians or from watching cartoons. For students in grades 1-3 school number 91 librarians chose short story "Twenty years under the bed" by Viktor Dragunsky. Reading now and then was interrupted by cheerful children's laughter. The guys felt a sense of pride in their favorite writer when they learned that his books are read not only in Russia, but also in Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Norway, the Czech Republic, Germany, and even Japan. And in all this big world in the heroes of Dragoon children recognize themselves, their experiences.

As a keepsake from the Day of Reading, the deputy of the Chelyabinsk City Duma AN Depershmidt presented the young readers of the library No. 1 with the books "On the forest edge" and "Old Russian heroes".

Pupils of the 2nd - 6th grades of school No. 83 gathered in the children's library No. 5 on the World Reading Aloud Day. Everyone was expected to meet with the work of the writer Sergei Georgievich Georgiev. Several months ago, Sergei Georgievich was visiting library readers. On Reading Day, it was especially great to remember how much joy that meeting brought the children. Head of the library N.V. Nechaeva, not sparing her voice, for several hours in a row read funny stories about the third grader Vasya Zakharychev and his dog Dyushka, about the very smart physical education teacher Alexei Alekseevich, about one girl and one boy. Everyone who visited the library No. 5 on March 6 said later that they had kept an excellent mood for a long time.

The librarians of the library №13 chose the book "Scarlet" by Y. Koval for reading and invited their regular readers - students of the 2B grade of school №42 to listen to it. The story about the fate of the brave and selfless dog - the border guard caused a storm of emotions among the children. They wondered, admired, laughed and grieved. I liked the book so much that everyone rushed to the subscription to take it home and read it again with the whole family.

Library №9 named after N.P. Shilova hosted first-graders from school # 99 on March 6. The guys came to the library for the first time. The acquaintance began with an excursion and with the reading of poems by Nikolai Petrovich Shilov. The children really liked the funny and witty poems of the Chelyabinsk poet. The first graders immediately decided to enroll in the library in order to continue reading not only their favorite works, but also other wonderful books.

First graders from school # 130 came to children's library # 7 to listen to Andersen's fairy tales. Preschoolers from kindergarten №472 visited library №12, children from the senior group of kindergarten №125 visited library №15. We read the stories of L.N. Tolstoy.

The clever librarians of the children's library №6 prepared their best readers for reading - students from grades 1, 4, 5 and 7 of school №5, and they themselves decided to spend the whole day in the role of listeners. The book "Carousel in the head" was chosen for reading. Pupils of 4th grade Daniil Kirpichenko and Ilya Botvin started reading. The young readers were very worried. But the cheerful author Viktor Golyavkin "helped": the audience laughed so much at the adventures of the heroes of the book that the performers quickly forgot their fears and laughed along with everyone else. In addition, having become "infected" with reading, the listeners began vying with each other to demand the book in order to read aloud themselves. Here the librarians could not resist, they also wanted to show their reading talents. It was a real competition!

A deputy of the Chelyabinsk City Duma came to the children's library No. 2 on March 6 Sergey Gennadievich Ovchinnikov. On this day, librarians held a holiday dedicated to International Women's Day. For the pupils of the 3rd grade of school №110 and women-veterans from the Center for Social Protection of the Soviet District, Sergei Gennadievich read aloud "Legends of Mothers: Ship-Cloud" by I. Pankin. Such an unusual congratulation on the upcoming holiday touched both children and adults.

This is how the World Reading Aloud Day was organized organically and harmoniously with preschoolers, primary school children and younger adolescents.

It was more difficult with high school students... At first, they were skeptical about the idea of Reading Out Loud Day. Ironically accepted the invitation to the libraries. They simply did not suspect that such a powerful assistant as the theater would come to the aid of librarians. Let it be a student for now, but that is precisely why “my own”, dear and close.

The 3rd year students of the South Ural Institute of Arts named after V.I. PI Tchaikovsky, department "Acting and theatrical creativity." They read the poem by M.Yu. Lermontov's "Demon" for pupils of grade 8A school No. 62. The dramatized emotional reading was accompanied by an excellent musical score. Future artists tried to feel and convey all the drama of the romantic work. Eighth graders, almost the same age as students, looked and listened with bated breath, feeling every word, accepting and understanding every intonation shade of the poem. And then there was stormy and prolonged applause.

Within the framework of the project "Reading as art" in the Central City Children's Library on March 6, a meeting of teachers and students of the 2nd and 4th years of the Faculty of Theater Arts took place Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts with pupils of the ninth grade of the technological lyceum № 142 of the city of Chelyabinsk.

Students Aleksey Shvetsov, Andrey Suvorov, Nikita Manylov read from sight, by roles, an excerpt from E. Yevtushenko's prose. Then came poetry. At first, they wanted to limit themselves to a couple of poems, but reading carried me away. We recited poems by M.Yu. Lermontov, V.V. Mayakovsky, A.S. Pushkin, S.A. Yesenin, contemporary poets. The emotional mood of the students was passed on to the schoolchildren, melting the initial alienation of the audience. The guys began to go on an impromptu stage and read their favorite works. Librarians joined the reading. An extraordinary atmosphere of warmth and trust emerged. What good faces everyone had when the meeting ended.

Special mention should be made of this way of celebrating World Reading Aloud Day as reading on skype organized by Svetlana Grigorievna Odnorog, an employee of the children's library №3. Svetlana Grigorievna agreed in advance about a communication session with the writer Sergei Georgiev. At the appointed time, the writer living in Moscow sat his grandson on his knees, sat down in front of a video camera and began to read his stories to the children of the 2nd grade of school No. 136 in Chelyabinsk. Such reading caused a storm of delight among the children! They asked the writer many questions and shared their impressions. However, Sergei Georgievich himself could observe the reaction of young listeners to reading. The writer really liked the living, immediate Chelyabinsk children. There is no doubt that both for children and for Sergei Georgiev, this unusual meeting will remain a bright event in the memory.

The action “World Day of Reading Out Loud” became an equally bright event for all participants, thanks to which the everyday activity for librarians and readers suddenly acquired a different, not at all ordinary character.

Today is World Reading Aloud Day. How to mark it?

Where to go, what books to open, who to invite for reading, and why is it necessary at all?

On February 1, people around the world celebrate World Reading Aloud Day. The holiday was invented by the LitWorld organization to emphasize that "sharing stories and emotions is the inalienable right of everyone." No more, no less. So let's exercise this right.

How to mark?

This holiday is remarkable in that there is always a way to celebrate it, no matter what happens in your life. Found yourself alone on a desert island? Immediately after you threw a bottle with a note into the sea and laid it out on the shore of SOS, you can read aloud to your beloved. Without any hesitation! You can read alone, but at the same time broadcast on Periscope, Instagram or Facebook. Each parent has a grateful audience - a child who will be happy to listen to you. Many libraries arrange something interesting on this day: drop by, maybe you will be able to hear someone impressive? Do you have family, friends or colleagues? Generally fine. Together you are strength and will be able to prove yourself, prove your love of reading and organize a loud event. Here are some ideas.

Reading with a star

There is always a chance to drag a special guest into your library, office or nearest café to read aloud. This can be a familiar actor, a favorite teacher, a company boss, a sociable writer you follow on social networks, or a business partner.

Poetic flash mob

You have probably seen such a video on the Web more than once: day is like day, a cafe or a bus interior, an ordinary-looking person gets up and suddenly starts reading poetry aloud? For example, Shakespeare's sonnets or lines from Mayakovsky. And another one gets up behind him and picks up the recitation. General amazement, smiles, applause. Isn't it hard for you to pull off such a flash mob?

Writing a story in a circle

It is not necessary to recite a work already written before. You can compose on the go and then voice it out. Sitting in a circle, taking turns, line by line, invent a story.

Why is this needed?

Reading involves most of the higher areas of the brain. This is a great exercise for keeping him in shape. Reading aloud improves diction, helps you remember what you read, and builds a relationship between the reader and his audience. According to the latest research, children who are read aloud are almost a year ahead of their peers who are deprived of such pleasure in development.

How to read it correctly? Most importantly, take your time: the maximum speed allowed is 120 words per minute. Pronounce words clearly with emphasis and pauses. Aerobatics - while reading, pronounce the text as if you were expressing your own thoughts: not “read”, but “tell”.
