  Dmitry Kogan attached great importance to charity. He supported various actions in favor of talented youth. Dmitry Pavlovich was a member of the Council for the Quality of Education under the United Russia party. In 2011, Dmitry Kogan, together with the philanthropist Valery Savelyev, organized a fund whose purpose is to support interesting cultural projects.

  The date and place of the funeral are already known. According to some sources, farewell to Dmitry Kagon will be held in the Column Hall of the House of Unions on September 2, beginning at 11-00. As for the place of Dmitry's funeral, it has not yet been precisely determined. The violinist's relatives want to bury him at the Novodevichy cemetery, if they are given permission. If it does not work out at Novodevichy, then the musician will be buried at the Troekurskoye cemetery.
