"The Bremen Town Musicians". How Livanov, Entin, Gladkov and Anofriev sang

Before we find out who voiced the Bremen Town musicians, let's read a little about what the cartoon itself is about.

The cartoon tells about a group of musicians bosom friends: Cat, Donkey, Rooster, Dog and young Troubadour. They travel around the fairytale kingdom on a cart and entertain ordinary people with their songs. Their life is joyful and devoid of any worries.

But then one day the Troubadour meets a charming Princess and falls in love with her. With the help of his friends, he decides to win the girl's heart. But the King will never allow his daughter to love an ordinary musician. Therefore, the Troubadour decides on a desperate act, which will begin his adventures, full of fun, danger and wonderful songs.

Everyone knows this story, which has already become a classic, from a young age. Its plot is uncomplicated, but funny and touching, reveals the eternal themes of love and true friendship.

In many ways, the cartoon owes its cult status to wonderful dubbing actors. It was they who endowed the characters with bright characters, made them colorful and memorable.

Who voiced the cartoon Bremen Town Musicians

A huge contribution to the creation of the cartoon was made by the talented actor Oleg Anofriev, who voiced almost all the characters in the picture. Initially, he was supposed to voice only the Troubadour, and other outstanding artists of that time were invited to play the rest of the characters. However, due to various circumstances - due to employment in other projects, as well as for personal reasons - no one showed up for the recording at the appointed time, except for Anofriev. Ultimately, Oleg Andreevich had to voice not only the main character, but others as well.

An equally important role was played by the wonderful singer Anatoly Gorokhov, who was urgently summoned to record the cartoon. He gave his voice to the entire troupe of the Bremen Town musicians: Donkey, Dog, Cat and Rooster.

But the list of dubbing actors would be incomplete without Elmira Zherzdeva and Gennady Gladkov.

Elmira Sergeevna splendidly performed the part of the Princess, although at first Andrei Anofriev wanted to voice the main character.

Gennady Igorevich, being also the composer of the cartoon, played the role of the King. And although this hero is mostly silent, the audience loved him so much that in the continuation of the musical "In the Footsteps of the Bremen Town Musicians" he even received a full-fledged musical number, which was also performed by Gladkov.

The cartoon of the middle of the last century "The Bremen Town Musicians" was not watched only by an ardent opponent of animation in general, but most viewers of different ages remember it perfectly, moreover, they consider it one of the best cartoon musicals, that is, stories told with the help of songs and melodies. Do you know what songs Magomayev sang in the Bremen Town Musicians, who else voiced the characters and how they were recorded? Indeed, until now, after so many years, some moments of the creation of this wonderful creation remain in the shadows.

Whose voices do the cartoon characters sing?

Many viewers know that Magomayev sang the most popular song in the "Bremen Town Musicians", it sounded from all radio stations and records. This is the "Ray of the golden sun." But as for the rest, no less interesting, everyone is lost in conjecture, sometimes giving out very interesting versions, up to such that the Princess sang in the voice of Alla Borisovna, and the song of the robbers was performed by the famous troika from the cinema, which became prototypes for Vitsin, Nikulin and Morgunov. Of course, these versions are fundamentally wrong and were invented by ignorant fans.

Here is a complete list of those who sings in "The Bremen Town Musicians" and all subsequent episodes:

  • Elmira Zherzdeva - the capricious Princess sang in her voice.
  • in the first episode of the film he performed all the songs of the Troubadour, Atamanshi and third-rate roles.
  • Muslim Magomayev replaced Anofriev in the second episode of the cartoon, and also voiced the Detective, showing unexpected timbres of voice.
  • The Pesnyary group performed the music for the famous song “We have stopped by for an hour”, also recorded a phonogram with words, but the creators of the project refused it because of the clearly expressed accent of the performers.
  • The group "Merry Boys" replaced the previous Belarusian group.
  • Gennady Gladkov - King's solo.
  • Anatoly Gorokhov sang the parts of all animals: Donkey, Rooster, Dog and Cat.

Who voiced the Troubadour?

Even now, the lyrical ballad "Ray of the Golden Sun", better known as "The Song of the Troubadour", is pleasing to the ear: children, schoolchildren and romantically-minded youth sing it with pleasure. This hit was performed by Muslim Magomayev in the second episode of the cartoon, his popularity and employment in those years was already great, but at the same time he made a gesture worthy of a great man: he did not take the fee due to him for this work, saying that he was engaged in voice acting for pleasure ...

In the first part of The Bremen Town Musicians, Oleg Anofriev sang almost all the male parts, unexpectedly discovering another talent in himself - imitation of his voice. And it happened unexpectedly, since the planned group "Accord" (quite popular in those years) did not come to record: either the time set by the recording studio "Melodia" was not suitable, or force majeure, but the fact remains: Oleg I had to sing not only for "my" Troubadour, but also for the Atamansha, trying to be like Faina Ranevskaya, as well as for the guards and robbers.

Why didn't he sing in the following parts? The official version: the singer did not agree with some important points in the recording of songs, although the creators of the cartoon claim that Oleg simply fell ill with "star fever."

A quartet of musicians from Bremen

Who sings the animal parts in the Bremen Town Musicians? For this, famous people were invited:

  • For dubbing the Donkey - Oleg Yankovsky.
  • Dog - Yuri Nikulin.
  • Kota - Andrey Mironov.
  • Rooster - Georgy Vitsin, also the King was supposed to sing in his voice.

The famous actors did not come, since the exact time of sound recording was not agreed, so they simply could not leave their set, because even then they were famous people and did not have free time.

Therefore, they asked Anatoly Gorokhov, a songwriter who was at the studio at that time, to try to sound the quartet with different voices. Everything turned out so amazingly that we decided not to fix it and leave it as it is.

There is another version of the cartoon fans, who claim that the Donkey's parts are voiced by Leonid Bergman, the lead singer from "Merry Boys", who had already left the group and applied for emigration. Because of this, all data on his participation in the project was deleted, and Anatoly Gorokhov took over his merits.

Authors of poetry and music

We figured out a little about who sings in The Bremen Town Musicians, but it is worth mentioning the songwriters from all the series of this amazing musical masterpiece: Gennady Gladkov wrote the music, and the words were written by Yuri Entin, while witnesses to the creation of the film say that some words to the songs were written by Anofriev himself. Peru Gladkov belongs to the music for such famous films as "Gentlemen of Fortune", "The Man from the Boulevard des Capuchins", "To Kill the Dragon", as well as many others.

Songs of another author, Yuri Entin, are known even to the smallest viewers and listeners, because these are familiar words from "The Adventures of Pinocchio", "The Adventures of Electronics", "Dunno from Our Yard". And what is "Beautiful is far away" - after all, this is also the brainchild of a talented author. And now to his merits were added the texts of those who sing in "The Bremen Town Musicians" - a cartoon of all times.

How many episodes are there in the cartoon?

There are only three of them, because there is no point in creating endless series in order to remain in the memory of the viewer: it is better to shine once a bright star and leave a mark in the heart forever.

Who voiced the Bremen Town Musicians?

The script with freedom-loving and even hooligan manners was approved rather quickly, since the story was based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm. The unusual format of the musical, the characters dressed in Western fashion and the wonderful songs "a la rock and roll" made this cartoon extremely popular. The first episode was released in 1969.

Director Inessa Kovalevskaya recalled that she was horrified when she saw the first version of the script. And I immediately decided to shoot this mess, only slightly altering the plot. This "slightly" led to the cartoon of the main character - Troubadour, proposed by screenwriter Vasily Livanov. And the composer Gennady Gladkov suddenly announced that there is no good fairy tale without love: this is how the Princess appeared. Well, what kind of princess is without a palace and a daddy-king? And what a king without protection!

One for all

Such a number of characters had to be voiced by several people: talented, famous and busy. At that time, the recording schedule at the Melodiya studio was very tight, and the dubbing of the cartoon, shot by a little-known director, was scheduled for midnight. Almost everyone did not come to the recording for various valid reasons. Only Oleg Anofriev appeared in the studio, and only to report his illness. The deadlines were running out, and the singer began to be persuaded to start work immediately. Anofriev tried it, got involved, and himself offered to voice all the other characters, including the Princess. But the female part was designed for a lyric soprano, so Gladkov urgently invited a fellow student to record Elmira Zherzdev... Eventually Anofriev voiced the Troubadour, Atamansha, robbers and guards. And who voiced the Bremen Town musicians? Donkey, Dog, Cat, Rooster was taken over by the poet Anatoly Gorokhov, friend of Entin. Several "royal" remarks uttered Gladkov.

History repeats itself

In 1973 the second series was published: "In the Footsteps of the Bremen Town Musicians". The director was Vasily Livanov, since Kovalevskaya was not interested in continuing the work.
Despite the success of the first series, the creators of the cartoon did not want to invite Anofriev to voice several characters. For two reasons: firstly, in that case it was done out of despair, and secondly, Anofriev began to be capricious. As a result, the same thing happened as the first time: several main parts were performed by another famous talented singer, Muslim Magomaev... His voice is sung by Troubadour, Detective and Atamansha. As in the first episode, the Princess was voiced Zherzdeva, and the King - Gladkov.

Who voiced the Bremen Town musicians, robbers and courtiers in the second episode? There was a hitch with these characters: according to Entin, their parts were recorded by VIA Pesnyary. But when listening to it, it turned out that Mulyavin's too “Slavic” accent did not fit the “western” style of the cartoon. As a result, these parties were voiced Leonid Berger, former soloist of VIA "Merry Boys". But since the singer was going to emigrate, his name was removed from the credits. Instead, the name of Gorokhov is indicated, as in the first series.
