Drawing of the coast. How to draw a beach and sea using pencil and gouache

Drawing of the coast. How to draw a beach and sea using pencil and gouache

When it gets cold outside, you immediately have a desire to hit the road far away, to warm regions. And when the heat is wild, no one minds dumping there. What nonsense it turns out. Whatever time of year it is, all the time you want to go to the sea. That's how we live. Let's learn how to draw the sea with a pencil. The sea is a space filled with water that cannot be drunk by mere mortals. But you can safely devour any inhabitant of this large reservoir (if, of course, he does not devour you first). The sea is beautiful and dangerous, it attracts romantics, scuba divers, girls in mini bikinis, Patrick and, as well as those who like to paint landscapes.

The sea comes in different colors: black, red, Japanese, but the paradox is that it is blue all the time. Scientists are still racking their brains for themselves, but more often for others, why the sea is blue, but they find no other explanation, except why not. Moreover, the blue looks much more attractive than the Dead. The mystery of this state of water is best explored in the summer, in the company of beautiful girls in swimsuits. In such conditions, the level of scientific research increases over9000 times. From those several sources that talk about the subject, we know a few things:

  • Blue Sea possesses hypnosis skills. Eyewitnesses claim that they saw the same thing in different parts of the world at the same time;
  • It can be black drilled, whatever that means;
  • Communicate directly with the Moon;
  • A golden shark can be found in the sea, which will fulfill three dying wishes;
  • Foam for no reason;
  • With its magnetic abilities, it attracts people to the beach, so that later they can be dragged away and fed to Cthulhu.
  • Try to draw yourself a sea.

How to draw the sea with a pencil step by step

Step one. Let's sketch out the horizon line, and these figures will indicate the location of the seagull birds.
Step two. Now we draw the outlines of the birds themselves.
Step three. Let's draw each bird in detail.
Step four. Let's add some shading to create the appearance of the waves. The sound of the surf might even be heard.
Don't forget to color it in! And then take a new piece of paper and try to portray.

    You can draw such a calm sea.

    We make the general markup of the picture

    draw clouds in the sky

    draw the branches of a palm tree

    now, sea

    add shadows from the palm tree

    now, you can paint with colored pencils or paints

    There are several types of paintings to paint the sea.

    The first option is to divide the sheet into horizon and sea. You can draw a circle, which will be the sun, and the shore.

    Then we draw a coast with stones and a boat.

    Here's another way of painting the sea.

    every artist paints the sea as he sees it. but when it comes to drawing in stages, the most important thing is to draw the waves. if you can cope with this task, consider that you have already drawn the sea. at least it seems to me so. the algorithm for drawing waves is given below:

    If you draw the sea in black and white, then in addition to a pencil, you can also use charcoal, so you will quickly achieve the desired effect, where you need to darken to black ...

    I draw your attention to the second picture where the sea with seagulls is depicted ..))

    but already a color version, they drew quickly, did not work on small details, you can see right away,

    and the last picture shows that the artist tried to depict the bottom of the sea ..)

    You can try to depict the sea by watching this master class:

    The work is quite painstaking, not easy, but the result will definitely be worth the effort. And the drawing process itself, I am sure, will bring a lot of pleasure.

    I present a very simple way like draw the sea in stages... To do this, first draw two lines, then sketch the coast and mountains in the background. After that we draw a boat. Next, add the birds and move on to coloring the picture.

    It is very difficult to paint the sea like real marine painters. It is necessary to have talent, like Aivazovsky.

    The sea has a sea (sorry for the tautology) of colors, shades, overflows. In addition, its color changes from weather changes, from the presence of sunlight, etc.

    In the drawings that Enua suggested, I liked the penultimate one, which depicts the bottom of the sea. This detail alone gives more or less realism to the picture.

    If you draw the sea not picturesquely, but schematically, then there is no need to draw anything!)). It is enough to depict a sailing boat, and anyone will say that it is a drawing of the sea.

    Look how I did it literally in one minute in Paint! (however, I draw ships badly ..)

    Drawing the sea is not easy, but it's worth a try.

    It is important to choose the style itself, the technique in which you want to paint, to present the general appearance of the picture.

    You want to show the storm or the coastal surface, or maybe the oncoming waves.

    With paints, a wave can be conveyed with small strokes, mixing shades, adding white color to draw foam and waves. The distant shot can be left flat.

    It is better to draw small hills and the crests of the waves.

    Green, blue, purple - these shades can be used to liven up a painting and convey shadows for volume.

    After that we take ready-made drawings and draw again, but this time on our sheet. Any boat, crab, nudists, boiled corn traders, bio-toilet, beer bottles and other attributes of the modern sea can perfectly fit here. I decided to add such necessary items as a palm tree and a naked woman:

    You can also shove the ships in the ocean liner Queen Mary 2 and the minion, tk. this topic whose hour is very popular, as well as the shark:

    It remains to decorate beautifully)

    Certainly, draw the sea it is not easy, it can be quiet, calm, and it can be just a dangerous avalanche that destroys all living things, but still most people adore it and dream of a vacation in the sea. Below is an example of a phased drawing of the sea along with the beach, adding sun loungers and a couple of palm trees - it will be just a real paradise.

In this lesson, we will introduce you how to draw a sea with gouache in stages in pictures and with a description. There will be presented step-by-step steps with which you will learn how to paint the sea with gouache, like this.

You can draw waves on the sea if you understand how the wave moves. First, let's draw the background. Draw the horizon line just above the middle. We will smoothly paint the sky from blue to white near the horizon. You can draw clouds or clouds if you like.

To make the transition smoother, paint part of the sky with blue paint, part with white, and then mix the paint on the border with a wide brush with horizontal strokes.

The sea itself is also painted with blue and white paint. It is not necessary to apply the strokes horizontally. There are waves at sea, so it is better to make strokes in different directions.

Now mix the green with the yellow and add some white. Let's draw a base for the wave. In the picture below, the darker areas are wet paint, the gouache just didn't have time to dry.

On the green strip, use a hard brush with white paint to distribute the wave movement.

Note that the left part of the wave has already fallen into the sea, next to it is the raised part of the wave. Etc. Make the shadows stronger under the fallen part of the wave. To do this, mix blue and purple paint.

On the palette, mixing blue and white gouache, draw the next falling part of the wave. At the same time, we will enhance the shadow under it with blue paint.

We outline the front wave with white gouache.

Let's draw small waves between the big ones. Draw some shadows under the near wave with blue paint.

Now we can draw the details. Spray foam along the entire wavelength with a brush. To do this, take a stiff bristle brush and white gouache. There should be not a lot of white gouache on the brushes and it should not be liquid. It is best to smear your finger with gouache and blot the tips of the brush, then spray over the wave area. Better to practice on a separate sheet so that you can direct the spray to a specific location. You can also use a toothbrush for these purposes, but the result may not justify the result, because the spray area can be large. But if you succeed, then that's good. Don't forget to try the spray on a separate sheet.

Only an experienced artist can draw the sea, accurately convey the color and power of the water element. An artist who paints the sea is called a seascape painter and draws various types and conditions of the sea and has been learning this all his life. Drawn pictures of the sea with paints, gouache or watercolors, or better with oil, very accurately convey the whole range of shades and depth of color of the sea. The sunset on the sea looks especially beautiful in colors. But let's start in stages paint the sea with a simple pencil.
It is not easy to draw the sea, especially with a simple pencil. It is difficult to convey sea waves, surf with a simple pencil. With a pencil, this can only be done using the strokes technique. You will need to constantly rub your strokes with your finger or a hard eraser.

1. First, select the main contours of the sea

First, select the horizon and the main outlines of the coastline of our composition. On the shore, immediately draw the outlines of the coastal stones. Then we separate the horizon line of the sea and draw the line of the beach and draw the sun. You can also draw the outlines of small waves around the stones.

2. "Scatter" sea waves over the drawing

Now we need to draw the initial outlines of the waves around the entire space reserved for the sea in our drawing. Make pencil strokes over the entire surface of the sea, but you should not do too many of them, otherwise the waves will not turn out large.

3. Shade the water surface with strokes of a soft pencil

At this stage, we need to draw and shade the outlines of the waves around the stones with strokes. To soften pencil marks, you can rub them with your finger or a hard eraser. The shaded part of the sea can also be rubbed with a piece of paper or with your finger.

4. Sand on the coastline

Now we will focus on the coastline of the sea. In our picture, there is a sandy beach by the sea, but you can draw another one. Just like the surface of the sea, the sand should be shaded with pencil strokes, slightly rubbing them. If necessary, you can remove excessive blackness in some areas of the sea, again with the help of an eraser. After that, you can "paint" the stones, heavily shading them, and draw small clouds.

5. How to draw the sea. Clouds

At this stage, we will not draw the sea, but what is above it - the sky and clouds. If necessary, you can lightly erase the strokes vertically in some areas of the sea, this will give the sea additional highlights. But first, add some small, freeform clouds with subtle strokes to emphasize the movement of the air. Draw the sun, this "little thing" always makes any drawing more attractive and realistic.

6. Drawing the sea on a graphics tablet

Now you can draw the sea with a simple pencil and you can try to make another drawing and paint it with paints, as in this color picture of the sea, made by me especially for this lesson on a graphic tablet.

Video how to draw the sea.

Of course, the drawing of the sea will look much more beautiful if you can draw a sailboat in the distance. In this lesson, you will learn how to draw both the sea and the sailing frigate.

Wandering the seas on sailing ships, pirates made caches of looted treasures, many of which were never found. Perhaps these treasures never existed. But not only were maps used by pirates to indicate the location of a treasure island in the sea, they were used primarily for shipping.

If you decide to paint a picturesque seascape, draw dolphins. These sea animals will definitely turn out beautiful if you draw them in stages. Draw the outlines of the sea and dolphins with a simple pencil, and then paint the whole drawing with paints.

The turtle lives in the sea and is probably the most ancient inhabitant of the seas. Over the years of evolution, turtles have only learned to go on land to lay their eggs, but they have not left the sea forever, like other animals. In this lesson we will try to draw a turtle by the sea on our own.

The mermaid is half fish, half human, so you need to draw the mermaid not only a tail, but also fish scales on it. A prerequisite for a picture of a mermaid should be the presence of a reservoir, because they live in a river or at sea.

The question "How to draw the sea?" not only artists are asked. Almost everyone who admires the sea views wants to somehow capture this gift of nature, which asks for on canvas. Or, at least, into the camera lens.

A little help... Landscape in art is a genre in which nature is depicted. Also, individual paintings of this genre are called landscapes. The landscape can also be urban - here nature has already been transformed by man to suit his needs, or, for example, rural. If the sea is depicted, then such a landscape is called a marina. And the artists, respectively, are marine painters.

So let me give you some helpful guidelines. In this article, our main task is to enable observation, as well as consider some of the laws of composition and color schemes.

1. Horizon

Do you know where the horizon is? Do not read the answer right away, think about it, try to answer intuitively. Far away where the sky turns to the sea? Or where does the earth end? No, it’s not. Horizon - it is always at the level of our eyes. You can check on the street today, especially if you are outside the city, where the horizon is clearly visible. Squat down, stand up - the horizon will move with you.

And where to place it on the sheet? In the middle? Not worth it. The answer to this question has long been found by artists. You need to decide which is more important (more beautiful, more interesting) - the sky or the sea? If the sea, then the greater place is for him, and if the sky, then for the sky. It is better to decide on the horizon according to the so-called "rule of thirds", try it, you won’t be mistaken. Divide the sheet into 3 parts vertically, draw two lines. If you are more interested in the sea, it will occupy 2 parts, if the sky is it. A perfect example: the third part is given to the sky, the third to the sea, the third to the beach (sand):

And here is more sea:

Of course, the sky can also prevail, especially this:

2. What's darker?

Before drawing a seascape, it is important for an artist to decide the question - which is darker, the sea or the sky? And stick to that contrast. Both the sea and the sky are blue, so the question is very important. And they solve it, as a rule, towards the dark sea.

3. Drawing the sky

It is quite simple to draw the sky - take a close look at the sky and you will understand everything. It is usually dark blue at the top, and gradually brightens towards the horizon. As in the photo above. Therefore, we simply add gradually lightness to the sky, downward it is sometimes almost white.

4. Clouds

They are usually depicted as white. First, luscious strokes are usually made with white paint without water and solvent. Then, downward, they can be smoothly rubbed into the sky with a very dry brush (another), or the bottom of the clouds can be made light purple-gray. All transitions are smooth.

5. Sea

The sea is also drawn from dark to light. At the horizon, it is dark blue, which creates an excellent contrast with the sky, and the depth of space. You can simply take blue paint without mixing it with anything. Then, closer to the third part of the sea, add a little emerald green and white to the blue one, more and more brightening and "greening" the water towards the shore.

6. Sand.

Sometimes they don't paint him, but if there is a desire ... For sand, it is better to mix light ocher with a small amount of red and white. And make the transition from the sea to the sand smooth. This can be achieved by placing next to the brush strokes of "sea" and "sand" colors, gradually "mixing" one color into another.
