Home theater: having fun and developing. How to stage a play Children's play to do with children

How does a children's play differ from an adult? He should have a topic that interests children, and a language that the child understands. You can talk about anything, even about death, the main thing is understandable. If you stage a play at home, without a professional team, then it is best not to play it out in roles as in a classical psychological theater: it is difficult for non-professional actors not to fake it. We offer several formats of modern theater that will help to stage a performance for a small company and do not require special skills, special props and long preparation.

What it is

A play with objects is one of the most affordable options for a home play. It is arranged like a puppet theater, only instead of puppets here - any objects that can be found at home - in front of the audience, they will turn into the heroes of the play. For example, you tell "Kuroch-ku Ryab", and charging from the phone becomes a mouse breaking the testicle with its tail-wire, and the kettle, on the handle of which you put on glasses, becomes a sad grandfather. Due to the fact that the object begins to perform not its function, and there is a transformation, "the miracle of the theater."

The way of telling in such a play is storytelling, retelling of the plot in the first person. The actor does not try to act, he acts as a storyteller, and thanks to his separation from the plot, the reception turns out to be more honest: I am Glasha, and I am telling you the fairy tale "Ryaba Chicken" - and I do not play Ryaba Chicken at all.

How long does the performance last

You need to limit yourself in time in advance: 7 minutes for a children's home play is ideal, more than 15 should not be accurate.

What is needed

In addition to the objects themselves - the heroes of the play, you need to prepare the scene: the play is most conveniently played on a well-lit table (a table lamp can help).

What to put

A good option is to grab your favorite book. In it, you need to find a storyline where there is a problem and its solution or a change in the hero. For example, here's the problem in Kolobok: it didn't work. On a bear, a wolf, a hare, Kolobok's song worked and worked, but not on a fox. Why? Because it is impossible to solve all life problems in the same way. Yes, and brag at the same time.

How to bet

If you are heavily adapting the book, then you need to write a script. If you leave the text unchanged, you just need to collect all the necessary pieces in one place (or bookmark it in the book). You also need to write out all the characters and come up with suitable images for them. For example, a mouse is a boot with a long lace-tail and two socks-ears inside, a mouse-sock is a smaller boot. The big snail is a tape measure, the small snail is a twisted centimeter. There are special manuals that will help you practice your imagination, reflect on how you can use the subject.

If suddenly during the preparation you have successfully come up with a character that is not in the book, that's okay, you can easily add him to the script or replace someone else with him. It is not necessary to visualize all the characters, but all the important ones are desirable. And the main characters should be specially designated: for example, it is good if they are always present on the stage.

What is important to consider: all objects must become heroes in front of the viewer, only then will it be a theater. That is, the blanks, for example a teapot and glasses, should be close at hand, but they should turn into a character - in this case, a grandfather - they should only be during the performance, when the grandfather is first discussed. If there are a lot of objects, then, in addition to the narrator, one or two participants can be involved in the play.

A scene from the play "Tales from Mommy's Bag". Directed by Marfa Gorvits, artist Alexandra Lovyannikova. Festival "KRYAKK", 2013

In the choice of objects, you can limit yourself, agree, for example, that a fairy tale is created only from things that may be in the kitchen, in the pantry or in mom's bag. You can even come up with a beautiful approach: for example, my mother came home from work, sits at the table with a computer to work, and next to her there are two bored daughters who begin to play and interfere with her. Then mom decides to tell a fairy tale in order to captivate them: she takes a comb out of her bag - it becomes a hedgehog, turns the laptop over - it becomes a home, and so on. Moreover, in addition to the bag, of course, many items can be prepared in advance in boxes on the shelves around.

Theatrical effects will help develop the action. If you cut the boo-maga into small pieces and sprinkle the scene on top, you will get snow, if you send a hairdryer or a fan to pieces of paper, a blizzard, if you crumple the foil over the characters, there will be lightning, put blue cellophane on the table - the sea, and if transparent cello-fan - ice ... Theatrical effects can also depict turning points: if a hero dies, a red kerchief can be dramatically pulled out of his sleeve and thrown over him. Plot turns are easy to show also by changing the light or sounds: the testicle fell and broke - hitting the cup with a spoon or clapping your hands.

For the entire performance, you can take the soundtrack from your favorite movie (a safe option, by the way, the music from Wes Anderson's films) or just your favorite song or classical composition.

Shadow play

What it is

The shadow play is also built on storytelling: the play is led by a story-teller, and the others, with the help of shadows, illustrate his story. Shadows can be different: there are silhouette shadows (when the shadow is cast by specially cut figures), living shadows (the shadow is cast by the whole person) and (the actor's fingers "play"). All shadow techniques can be combined, sometimes the shadow can even go beyond the screen, and this is very spectacular: here the boat floats in front of the screen, and then drives behind it, and we already see its receding shadow.

How long does the performance last

The optimal time for a home performance is 7-15 minutes.

What is needed

For shadow theater, you will need a screen (a sheet will do) and several light sources. The narrator is in front of the screen, and the actors and the light are behind it. It is most convenient to place a projector or a table lamp in the middle on the floor or on a table - this is the general light. To illuminate specific shadows, each actor must hold a flashlight or phone with a flashlight in their hand. If there are many participants, then you can assign fixtures - they will be responsible both for the lights for individual shadows and for the lamp.

If you are working with silhouette shadows, then you need to cut them out and prepare them in advance. It will be most convenient to control them with sticks (sticks for sushi are suitable), and fix the figures with plasticine.

What to put

The literary basis can be the same as in subject theater: a favorite book adapted for a performance - you need to highlight a storyline in which there is an interesting problem for you and its solution.

How to bet

It's good if the book's solution to the performance is immediately clear: for example, if this is a work about adults and children, or about giants and midgets, then the performance can be based on playing with the size of the shadows. Let's say you take the story of Odysseus and Cyclops. Then one person gets up closer to the lamp, farther from the screen - he gets a big shadow, this is the giant Cyclops. The other is closer to the screen, farther from the lamp - he has a smaller shadow, this is the hero Odysseus. In the story, Odysseus pierces the eye of the Cyclops - it is enough for the actor to stretch his hand up diagonally to give the audience the impression that his finger is hitting the Cyclops.

A scene from the play "A Fairy Tale That Was Not Written". Directed by Vyacheslav Ignatov, Maria Litvinova, production designer Maxim Obrezkov. Theater "Trickster", 2015 International festival of puppet theaters "Kovcheg"

Shadow mastery requires rehearsals, so for such a performance you will definitely need a director - a person who will be in front of the screen during all rehearsals to see if shadows overlap each other and if they are clearly visible.

I wonder when the shadows begin to interact with the narrator. For example, he tells how the heroes went into the forest, and a bird (silhouette shadow) sits on his shoulder, the narrator blows on it, and the bird flies away. Another good technique is to use the contrast of one person and a crowd, when all the actors behind the screen equally respond to the words of the narrator. Then the scene with the forest will look like this. The narrator says: "And they went into the forest," - all the other actors depict twigs swinging with their hands. Narrator: “And they saw a cat,” - all the actors begin to meow and raise their hands with bent fingers, as if they are scratching.

The image of the narrator should always be associated with the performance. Think about who could tell your story? If this is a fairy tale - grandmother or grandfather. If the ancient Greek myth is a Greek in a toga. From whose face is it unexpected to hear a familiar plot? The narrator of The Wizard of Oz can be not only Ellie, but also Totoshka, and Pushkin's tales can be told even by an oak near the sea.

How to make a show more interesting

Theater can be extracted from everything. The screen can also be playful: for example, if this is a performance based on Mary Poppins, then it can begin with the Banks family looking for a nanny, all the actors are walking around the stage with newspapers, and then the wind changes, and the screen moves from above. glued from pieces of newspaper. You can play with lighting: change the projector light to blue (if something magical happens), red (if you need to portray danger). A wandering lantern can show dangerous moments, a climax, some kind of instability. They also need to focus on the hero. They look very interesting in the shadow theater staged dances... If you work with lamps in different ways, the image will be refracted - this will be an effective interruption in the performance. Music will also help to revive the performance: it is better that it be live, for example, a drum or a bell for accents or a general background.

What it is

This theatrical form will be most similar to the type of theater that children are most familiar with: there is still a storyteller, but the play is no longer played by puppets or shadows, but by actors. The difference is that the actors here, too, do not quite play, as in psychological theater, but rather denote actions and reactions, distancing themselves from their heroes. Such a theater is close to the "epic theater" invented by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht. In Brecht's theater, the actors did not identify with the characters and did not strive for "authenticity", but, on the contrary, presented the familiar from an unexpected angle. The sets were laconic and the plays were contemporary..

Let's say the narrator is talking about a competition for the heart of a princess: the hero must hit the target with a bow in order to marry a girl. Then one artist shoots, the second takes his arrow, slowly shows its progress, brings it to the target, shows that the arrow hits - bam! (to enhance the effect, you can add musical accompaniment) - and the wedding celebration begins at the usual speed. And death, for example, is depicted as follows: one hero shoots at the second, he freezes, the third approaches and draws a red circle on his chest with makeup or paint - it is important that the victim does not move during the drawing, and only when this process is completed -shen, the deceased can leave the stage (or begin to dance or move strangely - to depict a transition to another state). It looks like living pictures: an ordinary picture captures some important event, and a living one captures the whole process that led to this event.

How long does the performance last

As in the previous versions, the timing of the performance is from 7 to 15 minutes.

What is needed

There are no obligatory props, but it will be great to use live music in the performance: for example, drums.

What to put

For such a performance, it will be most convenient to take fairy tales, where there are obvious transformations, which will be interesting to show "close-up", to slow down.

How to bet

Favorite trick: the child falls asleep with a book. Let's say he's sitting at a table, reading the end of a paragraph, and falling asleep. The heroes of the fairy tale that he was reading appear around; maybe objects come to life: a vase of flowers is removed from the table, an actor in a flower costume is leaning on the table instead. And these heroes continue the tale, and the child himself becomes, for example, a prince. In this case, the performance will not have one storyteller, but a whole group: one will pass the word on to the other. You can end the fairy tale with the sound of an alarm clock or with the voice of your mother - the ring composition always gives integrity to the action.

The play "Cinderella" is based on the play by Joel Pomr - this is a social drama about how the memory of her deceased mother does not let go of the girl Zoya, nicknamed Zola, which is why she takes on all the dirty work and does not find a place for herself. In this scene, the sisters and father mark the corners of a small, cramped room and convince Zola (Nadezhda Lumpova) that the room suits her very well. Behind the scenes - the Fairy Godmother, the narrator who leads the performance.

The first meeting of the stepmother (Katerina Vasilyeva) and the father (Alexander Usedin) Zola. All the heroes froze, and each expresses his attitude towards this meeting: the stepmother and father are happy with their new love, the sisters are unhappy that they will now have to live together, and they look at Zola with emphasis on arrogance and condescension. Ash as a talisman puts forward a clock with an alarm clock, which rings every five minutes, reminding of the mother.

For the heroes, you need to come up with costumes: things from the closet, sheets, colored paper and everything that can be found at home are used. If it's a prince and a princess, you can make them foil or paper crowns and gold raincoats - buy a thermal blanket in a store for hunters and fishermen.

Wrapping paper will also come in handy (for example, free from IKEA). Such paper can generally become the solution to the entire performance: you can cut out all the props from it and make one-color costumes for all characters. For example, if we are talking about a boring life that is transformed through love or creativity, then the costumes can be painted during the performance with paints and felt-tip pens.

In order to create an image, one detail of the costume will be enough. Ask yourself the question: what is the most important thing about your character? Let's say you play a dog from the Bremen Town Musicians, which the owners kicked out of the house for being "old." Old age may be its main characteristic. Imagine: why exactly was she kicked out, probably, she went blind or lost her scent? Then the costume can be glasses, which the dog sometimes loses, searches for a long time and therefore is late everywhere. And if you have a dog from the "Magic Ring", then its main quality is loyalty. A leash is enough to show how the dog follows its master and how glad it is to serve him.

How to make a show more interesting

To make the story look more theatrical, spectacular theatrical techniques will help. The narrator says: "Once upon a time there was a girl, and suddenly she ..." - the girl throws out a red ribbon from her bosom. Narrator (after a pause): "Fell in love."

The sea, flood or waterfall can be depicted with cellophane or a blanket. It is good to show drifts with sheets. The actors themselves can convey the weather: for example, one character picks up the corners of the cloak of the second and shakes the fabric, as if the cloak is inflated by the wind. Or you can do without decorations altogether and solve everything with sound: if you crush the starch in a bag, it will look like the creak of footsteps in the snow, if you blow into a corrugated pipe or start swinging it, you get a wind or a blizzard; and it will be interesting to extract sounds not behind the scenes, but in front of the viewer, with an open technique.

What it is

Reading is the most adult format of a home performance, it is suitable for children over 12 years old. From the outside, the reading looks very simple: the actors sit on chairs and read the play by roles. But for this to become a performance, and not just reading, you need serious preparation: analysis of the play and thinking through the transitions between scenes - so you need someone to take on the director's function (you may need the help of an adult).

How long does the performance last

There can be no time limit: you need to play as long as it takes to read.

What is needed

Chairs for the actors and printed texts of the play.

What to put

Suitable plays can be found on the Little Remark children's drama competition website and in collections of contemporary drama by adult authors. Here are the pieces to watch out for:

  • Anastasia Bukreeva. "Gandhi was silent on Saturdays"10 characters
  • Irina Vaskovskaya. "God Rides a Bicycle"8 characters
  • Ivan Vyrypaev. "What I learned from the snake" Monopiece
  • Vadim Klimovsky. "Mitya's war"8 characters
  • Masha Kontorovich. "Mom, my hand was torn off"12 characters
  • Serafim Orlova. Asta10 characters
  • Dana Sideros. "To all whom it concerns"13 characters
  • Julia Tupikina. "Inhale-exhale"6 characters

How to bet

After you have selected the text, you need to assign roles and choose a narrator who will read the directions. Analysis of roles is always encouraged - it usually happens like this: the director and the actors talk about what they like in the play, what worries, and discuss each role separately.

There is a simple option for analysis: you need to determine the main theme of the play and formulate a question related to this topic. For example, if the theme is the pursuit of happiness, then the question might be "What is happiness for my character?" To answer this question, you need to trace the entire line of the character. When you find the answer, it will help to correctly place accents in the play, to better understand which scenes are key for the character.

Parsing the play will also help you figure out how to react to the directions that the narrator reads. The author's explanations and instructions on how to play are the most interesting in the reading. Actors shouldn't take them literally, otherwise it will get boring. If it says “speaks, smiling” - this does not mean that one must certainly smile, one can not react in any way and continue to speak as before, if “out of breath”, - on the contrary, one can read it extremely calmly if “the heroes are quarreling,” and we know that the heroes are a married couple who only do what they quarrel - they can speak deliberately lazily or tenderly. The solution must be paradoxical - this is the law of the theater. But it is always based on the text: acting gives the remark an additional dimension and reveals the character of the hero, expands the meaning of the text, and does not contradict it.

"Gandhi was silent on Saturdays." Playwright Anastasia Bukreeva, director Kirill Vytoptov. Festival "Lyubimovka", 2017

The storyteller can be combined with a small role or you can come up with a separate image for him: for example, if you stage a play where the main motive is some kind of competition between heroes, then the storyteller can be a football commentator. But it is very important to test any idea in rehearsals: sometimes what seems very convenient in theory does not work at all on stage. Therefore, rehearsal is an endless change in search of the perfect formula. At the same time, it must be remembered that the acting in the reading should be minimal, the main principle is concentration on the text. Therefore, the presentation, the musical accompaniment, and the stage solutions will be minimalistic.

In order not to distract the viewer from the text, the actors should hardly move - it will be most convenient for them to sit on chairs. But you can organize the space in different ways: for example, the characters participating in the scene can move forward. If this is a story about a quarrel, let the actors sit as if in a ring, opposite each other. If there are not so many participants, then one person can play two roles. Then he changes from place to place so that the viewer would understand who he is reading for. If the hero died according to the plot, then he leaves or closes his eyes, sits with his back to the audience or stands on a chair (to get closer to the sky himself) - something must visually change.

How to end the reading? Always a winning move is a choreographic exercise, when the action on the stage obeys some kind of law. There is, for example, the exercise "exhalation movement". The actors begin to breathe to the beat, and for each exhalation they make any movement: step, turn, head tilt, wave of the hand. As soon as the exhalation ends, the movement ends. When you are focused on breathing, you do not have time to fuss with your face, and this action looks incomprehensible and bewitching. For example, in a play about a family, in this way everyone can gather in a family portrait.

If this is a play about creation, then, in parallel with the reading, the actors can draw pictures, fold origami and create a collage - by the end of the reading, their work should be ready. The end can also be decided by sound: for example, if the actors begin to depict the departure of the train - "chuchuh-chuchuh" - everything will be clear without the scenery. The main thing is that all decisions are organic to the play itself - that is why the director (or directors) needs to work with the text and reflect on the characters, meanings and the main theme of the play.

How to make a show more interesting

In order for the reading to be more than just reading the text, you can come up with theatrical effects. For example, if this is a play about not turning back the past, then everyone can simultaneously take the read sheet and throw it on the floor. You can add props details that will help the actors feel like characters and will develop the action: take an apple, a hat, a bag, and so on. For example, if one hero sits with an apple during the whole performance, and then passes it on to another, it becomes clear that this is a scene about trust, about love. And if, for example, Romeo takes out a lollipop under his pretentious text, unfolds it and gives it to Juliet, then we understand that in fact they are still children.

Have you decided to arrange for your child, and do not know what to come up with original? Why not organize home for your children!

Create DIY home theater only at first glance it seems a daunting task. In fact, with a lot of creativity and a relatively small investment, you can get a real holiday that you and your child will remember for a long time.

How to make a home theater

The format and technology for organizing home theater will vary depending on the purpose of the performance. If you decide to make an impromptu show one of the components of a children's birthday, then most likely it should be a mini-show, which will not be devoted all the time of the holiday. And, of course, the main role must be played by the birthday man! If the organization of children's parties seems like something overwhelming for you, then it is better to entrust it to professional directors.

Another criterion is the age of the child. If the baby is not more than three years old, you do not need to put on a big show - let it be small children's home puppet theater , where the main actors will be finger puppets. It can be arranged anywhere - at a table, on a bed or sofa, on the floor. As a script, those fairy tales that you read with the baby are suitable - it is best if the characters are familiar to him. Such home puppet theater Is not just entertainment, but also a way of development for your child. While playing with finger puppets, fantasy, memory develops, imagination turns on.

For older children, you can arrange home performance more serious - with the choice of the script, the distribution and memorization of roles, the preparation of scenery, costumes and make-up. Here you can already invite your child's friends to take part in the event, as well as invite spectators. As a rule, the parents of children, grandparents, neighbors will act as the latter.

Home theater for children - stages of organization

The first step is to choose a piece that will be staged on stage. By the way, the stage must be made - to fence off some space, otherwise the feeling of the theater will be incomplete. It is best if the book you are using as a basis will be known to everyone involved in the preparation of the event. For example, if you throw a children's party Alice in Wonderland, you are unlikely to get into trouble - most of the children still read this book, or watched the movie.

Further roles should be assigned. Of course, all kids will want to play beautiful, smart, brave and strong characters. But then what to do with negative characters? Try to present their images to young actors so that these characters seem interesting to them.

The next stage is the preparation of the costumes, each artist must undertake. Of course, not without the help of their parents. By the way, as far as costumes and makeup for your child are concerned, the old parental things, as well as mom's cosmetic bag, will be used here.

The scenery is best done with the joint efforts of the participants of the event - everyone can bring from home everything that can pass for theatrical props. Be sure to invite the children to do something with their own hands - this will also contribute to their development.

OK it's all over Now! It remains only to learn the roles, charge the video camera in advance and invite the audience to sit down more comfortably. The show begins ...

THERIN'S HOPE
Consultation for parents "How to arrange a performance at home"

Dear parents!

If you want your child to be successful, socially liberated and sociable, read him smart instructive tales, stories, stories. put at home performances for children, with the participation of children, tabletop, with toys. don't let your imagination run dry.

think over the content, write the script, take into account the age of the audience.

there should be few artists and the performance should be no more than 15 minutes, so as not to tire the children.

do several rehearsals depending on age and content

there should be enough space for the performance so that the artists have a place to turn around.

help to make decorations and costumes from scrap materials.

be grateful viewers.

If they put performance adults, who are quite capable of combining several roles, then there should be no more than three actors behind the screen. And if in the play the kids take part, then, of course, each of them gets one role and play must be short, for example, one scene from "Masha and the Bear" or "Teremok" or "Kolobok", where there is little text and everything happens quickly.

First, before the rehearsal, read the text, discuss the plot, characters, characters. If they are dolls, hand out the characters to get into character and practice bringing them to life. It is very useful to do this in front of a mirror to see yourself from the side. It is important that the doll for the little actor becomes not a glove, but a hero with its own character, with its own habits, habits, postures and antics. Designing them for your character is an addicting game that kids will enjoy playing. If you issue performance by music, sound effects, it will be almost professional. Go for it!

Play can be timed to any family celebration. The main thing is that there is attention, interested participation, assistance in design, and that the premises fit. The room should not be cluttered with furniture, where you could put a screen or pull a rope for a makeshift partition. Spectators-children can be seated not necessarily on chairs, pillows on the carpet are quite enough. In the summer you can put play right on the street - in the country or in the yard.

For home theater - a puppet show is best suited, since it does not limit either the composition of the characters, or the scene of the action, or in the outfits, or in the scenery. In addition, making dolls and decorations is a separate, very exciting activity that has much in common with natural children's games about device doll life and wardrobe.

Before the beginning performance there should be applause, like in the theater. And throughout performance Encourage the artists, this will give them confidence and they will be eager to continue to participate in the performances. And creative kids will never say - we don't want to rehearse, they love it and are eager to perform. If the child does not agree to play in the production - do not rush, he is not yet ripe. All people in relation to this type of art are divided into those who want to surprise and those who want to be surprised. Take time to understand your child. The main thing is to find in advance those viewers to whom your you will definitely like the performance, because the first success is so important for children in any of their endeavors.

Hiding behind dolls, getting used to the images of heroes, children often say things that they would not say in ordinary life. While playing in the theater, the child plays out what worries him at the moment, on behalf of the fairy-tale character he tells his own problems, experiences, fears. Staging performances helps to improve communication skills, develops expressiveness of speech and the ability to formulate thoughts.

Let's look at what a home theater can be, what and how you can make puppets.

Let the fairy tale come to life!

Dear Readers! Do you have any experience organizing home theater? Perhaps you attended the performances that were organized by your acquaintances mums and dads with their children? Can you make decorations and puppets for the theater? Let us know in the comments.

Toddlers learn to interact with other children and learn a variety of skills. Only play can be the key to a child's reading, counting, memorizing various facts and completing tasks for.

One of the brightest options for developing games is a children's puppet theater. This fabulous world of fantasy and magic was created a long time ago. And now parents around the world are actively using children's theater, not only as a method of teaching a child, but also as a way to understand his inner world, penetrate into his experiences and talk with the baby on all topics of his concern.

A puppet theater for children can become an integral part of your child's life almost from his very birth. Of course, at an early age, the baby will not be able to become a participant in a theatrical performance. But he can be the most curious and attentive spectator. Modern performances are designed for children of younger preschool age, and the theater for children from year to year is becoming more and more popular both among parents and among teachers. In many preschool institutions, theater groups are created, and puppet theater in kindergarten is an integral part of the educational program. In the younger groups, educators and music workers act as actors, and in the older groups they actively involve everyone in the performances.

Puppet theater at home

How to arrange a puppet theater at home? Already starting from 3 years old, you can act out simple scenes with the baby, using his favorite toys, and fantasizing on any topic. As soon as you understand that the child has become accustomed to the rules of table theater, begin to gradually teach him to observe the plot of the chosen fairy tale and the exact pronunciation of the text. This will not be difficult, since small children usually always remember by heart 2-3 little books that parents read to them every day.

When your child is 4 years old, you can purchase a homemade theater paper kit from a bookstore. Such sets contain images of heroes from various fairy tales. Together you can cut and glue them in the form of cones, and this is an additional activity for the crumbs.

You can also make paper dolls on sticks and start working with the screen. An alternative to this theater on sticks is the finger theater, which you can purchase in a store or make from scrap materials.

At the age of 5-6, the preferences of babies change. Now they can fully participate in the performances. To make your performances come out bright and lively, you can use the puppet theater. Such theatrical puppets have many varieties, and you can choose the right set for yourself in a specialized store.

In addition, shadow theater is still one of the most popular children's theaters. Shadow performances for children are quite simple to stage and very fun to watch. After all, everything that children see on the luminous screen is the silhouettes of the heroes. But the child's imagination is capable of drawing the smallest features and details to all fairy-tale characters. To use such a theater at home, you have to make a screen from stretched white fabric. And then we put the screen on a low table, illuminate it with a lamp and play the performance. In addition to paper silhouettes of fairytale characters, you can try to depict animals and people with your fingers. You will get an excellent one, the benefits of which we already wrote on the Bambino Story.

It is not necessary to be limited only to traditional types of theatrical performances. You can put on fantastic children's performances using various materials at hand, playing with the atmosphere in your apartment or using the conditions in nature. But every time, besides organizing entertainment for your baby, try to get the most out of this unconventional form of communication.

Try to act out in your puppet theater various controversial situations that the baby or even your whole family is experiencing. Give your child the opportunity to express their feelings about what is happening. Sometimes it is even useful to play around some tragic situations in order to prepare the baby a little for the fact that anything can happen in life.

Allow your child to be a negative hero at least occasionally. Usually, children only like to play positive characters. But by trying on the mask of the hero he doesn't want to be, the kid will be able to overcome his little fear and look at the situation from the other side. Although it is certainly not worth pressing hard and forcing a child to play someone he does not like.

Try to do everything so that the baby overcomes his shyness. Praise him, laugh together, figuratively and vividly play your part. Give your child an example that the more relaxed he feels on stage, the more interesting it is for the viewer, and the more positive emotions he himself experiences.

To get children interested in the game, never scold them or try to bring their acting skills to perfection. The process is important for you, not the result. Shorten all of the author's uninteresting text, and let the little actors direct the scene. Of course, it is good if the children know the words by heart, but improvisation is also encouraged.

The older the child becomes, the deeper the content of the performances should be and the more complex the props should be. Perhaps you will like such a family pastime, and you will be happy to arrange such interesting mini-performances in your home. Meanwhile, your kid will learn to speak beautifully and competently, to present himself favorably in front of others, as well as to convey his thoughts and feelings very emotionally and sensually. This will certainly become an excellent basis for the development of an interesting and multifaceted personality in him.
