The popular Soviet composer Sergei Prokofiev has always admired the story of Cinderella, so he took up the work on this work with great enthusiasm and eagerness. Later, he wrote that, having taken on the creation of this ballet, he tried, first of all, to convey the origin of the feelings of the main characters, and the realization of dreams despite various obstacles.

The premiere of the ballet in 1945 was received very warmly not only by the audience, but also by critics, and today this work by Prokofiev is considered a classic of the genre. The choreographers N. Kasatkina and V. Vasilev decided to bring it to life, who gave the ballet even greater fabulousness and hope for a miracle, saturating the production with some kind of airiness and enchanting extravaganza. An excellent set design for the ballet was invented by the artist Lev Solodovnikov, and the bright and amazing costumes were created by the artist Elizaveta Dvorkina.

Charles Perrault's amazing tale that love, beauty and work always win over anger, deceit and laziness formed the basis of the romantic performance of the Russian Classical Ballet theater. She serves both the Stepmother and her two mischievous daughters. Cinderella, like all girls, dreams of getting to the royal ball, but receives many tasks for the whole night and remains alone in an empty house. But the good Fairy comes to the aid of the heroine, her Godmother, who sends Cinderella, who has changed beyond recognition, to meet her fate. At the ball, a miracle happens: the Prince falls in love with the beauty, spends the whole evening with her, but exactly at midnight the mysterious stranger disappears, leaving her crystal slipper. The prince believes that he will find the one that stole his heart one by one, and how he will do it is worth seeing Cinderella at the spectacular ballet with a happy ending. FIRST ACTION OVERTURE
This beloved fairy tale is told (of course, dancing) by the kind Fairy-sorceress. From the first note of the overture, she appears in front of the curtain and, having greeted the audience, begins the tale. And since she is a real sorceress, she also has a magic wand, the possibilities of which she shows by touching the theater curtain with her. And of course, the curtain opens. And there ... A fairy-tale country in which our heroine lives in one of the houses.
- "Here in this house", - shows the Fairy-sorceress.
- "And how she lives, let's see" - and touches the magic wand to the wall of the house. The wall disappears and we get inside.

BEDROOM OF VICTORIES AND KRIVLYAKI
Despite the fact that it is already noon, Sick and Grimace have just woken up, and as usual, a quarrel begins every morning. They quarrel with and without reason. And now they are ready to cling to each other, but the quarrel is interrupted by a lively, joyful Stepmother with an invitation to the royal ball.

Rather dress, get ready, choose outfits, hairstyles!
- "Hey! Creep! Where are you!" - the sisters shout rudely.

CINDERELLA
A charming girl with golden hair in a poor patched dress and heavy wooden clogs runs into the bedroom. She brings clothes for the whole family as usual and helps the lazy sisters dress up. Those are not happy with everything. And as soon as they do not scoff at poor Cinderella. And that’s not so, it’s not that way, but she takes everything down and endures nagging.
- "That's how it is every day," she worries, "What can you do if they are like that. I'm used to it."

Outfits
Cinderella's reflections on life are interrupted by the arrival of a fashionable couturier with ball gowns, which he demonstrates to his stepmother and sisters. Having completely quarreled, having hardly chosen dresses, the family rehearses ballroom dances with the choreographer.

KITCHEN
Cinderella is all at work. All the chores around the house are on her. The girl is so skillful that all the dishes dance with her. Everything sparkles and rejoices, and teapots, coffee pots, pots are her friends. After seeing her stepmother and sisters, Cinderella also thinks about the ball, but she will never get to the royal palace.

FAIRY
The fairy-sorceress knows what Cinderella dreams of. The fairy sees everything and generously rewards those who do good deeds.
- "Sweet girl", - says the Fairy, suddenly appearing, - "you make dirty dishes sparkle and dance! It's just a miracle! We will go with you to a magical land where you will become even more beautiful, and after that you will go to the ball."

FAIRY MAGIC
Fairy's magic wand works wonders. The kitchen, the whole house rise to the sky, and Cinderella finds herself in the fairyland of beautiful fairies. The girl could not have imagined such a thing. Beautiful fairies teach Cinderella to dance and dress up in a magnificent dress. And when the Fairy-sorceress gives her sparkling shoes instead of old clogs, Cinderella almost cries with happiness. Placing the girl in a magic carriage, the Fairy-sorceress warns her that everything has its time - for good deeds and for bad. We must remember that at midnight Cinderella must be at home. And now, in a fabulous outfit, in sparkling shoes, in a magic carriage driven by fairies, Cinderella goes to the royal ball.

SECOND ACTION THE KING'S PALACE
According to strict royal etiquette, the ball opens. The king, ministers, court ladies and gentlemen, guests, trying to outmaneuver each other, demonstrate secular manners.
Stepmother, Sick and Grimacing are not inferior to those around them. But a mischievous boy runs into this prim atmosphere, flies in. He is not wearing a court costume, but from the way everyone bows before him, it is clear that this is the Prince. Even the strict Father King cannot be angry with him for violating etiquette. Of course, all the girls try to please the Prince, and the Grim Reaper and the Grimace just go out of their way to attract attention. The prince has no choice but to run away from these stubborn persons as soon as possible. He would have fled, if not for a strange, unusual beauty among the inflated, strictly following courtiers' etiquette. Noticing the charming girl, the Prince forgot about everything. Only she. And the world immediately changed. The rest ceased to exist for him.

MAGIC GARDEN
And Cinderella, seeing the young man, cannot take her eyes off her beautiful face. And for her, too, everything and everyone disappeared. She only sees him. Happy, they forgot everything. And when the clock struck midnight, it was too late. Escaping with difficulty from the embrace of the young man, Cinderella, having lost a fairy-tale shoe, runs away from the ball, already in an old patched dress. The prince is desperate.

THE THIRD ACTION
CASTLE
The prince has been pining for days. Neither the father king nor the ministers - no one can help his grief. Neither the Father King, nor ministers, nor shoemakers from all over the kingdom have anything to say about the beautiful stranger. And then the Prince decides to look for her himself.

PRINCE SEARCHING
Having summoned the guard, the Prince rushes through different countries and cities in search of the beauty, but does not find her anywhere. And so, when he had already completely lost hope, the Fairy-sorceress appeared in front of him. She understood the full power of the young man's love. The fairy showed the Prince the way to Cinderella's house, where he immediately rode off.

STEPMOM'S HOUSE
The prince absolutely does not understand why he ended up in this terrible house when the Criminals, the Grimace and the Stepmother appeared in front of him. Even if a shoe fit one of them, they still don't even come close to that girl. He was about to leave when a copper kettle blocked his way. Then the Prince came across a coffee pot.

“Something strange is happening with the dishes,” he thought, “as if she wants to help me.”
Looking around, the Prince noticed a girl hiding in the corner, covering her face with her hands. His heart fluttered. Gently removing the girl's hands from her face, he saw his beloved, and next to the second shoe. And the fairies surrounded them, as it should be in a fairy tale.
