We consider this project as a collection of various museum and exhibition initiatives, united in a single virtual space to compare and search for ways of integration, so that regional and author's specificity would not be lost, but entered into a single whole as a part of it.
The ultimate goal of the project is the creation of a Virtual Museum, which presents both a general picture of the history of terror and the current state of memory about it, in its material embodiment. The "outside the museum" memory of terror is also an integral part of this picture, and in our collection it is represented by two separate components : "Traces of the Gulag" - signs of the past in the surrounding landscape and anthropogenic environment, and "Necropolis of Terror" - hundreds of surviving, half-preserved or almost disappeared from the face of the earth burial sites of victims of terror.
The next stage of our project will be the construction of a real virtual museum on the basis of the collected collection - with a multimedia presentation of exhibits, with detailed museum documentation, with a reference apparatus, including thematic and other rubrics, indexes, virtual card indexes, with thematic expositions, temporary and permanent exhibitions, with a developed system of virtual excursions.
